Romans 12:2   And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

In Friday’s post we focused on the good, acceptable, and perfect.  Today, let’s focus on “renewing” our minds.  One of our greatest challenges is to shift our thinking away from our own sphere of experience.  We all have a tendency to believe what we see and hear, no matter what the source.  We begin by listening to our parents.  Later, others in authority impact our thoughts and beliefs.  Teachers, officials, politicians, and others who have some foundation of credibility impact our thinking.

In Wednesday’s post, I focused on Truth.  All Truth originates from Our Heavenly Father and if we want to immerse ourselves in the Truth, we must meditate on HIS Word day and night.  To do this, we must train our mind.  This is the act of renewing our mind.  If we don’t discipline our minds, we WILL be conformed to this world and all its trappings.  Those who are currently in power are counting on this.  Advertising agencies are hoping that you don’t renew your mind because they want to sell you another knickknack to gather dust on the shelf or in the closet.

If you will take time to renew your mind, you will begin to flow with the Spirit.  Your life will become more effective and you will be drawn into your calling.  However, it takes discipline.  You must set aside those thoughts of lust of the eyes, lust of the flesh, and pride of life.  You must identify anything negative that does not line up with HIS Word and cast those vain imaginations down.  First, clear your mind.  Remove the noise.  Turn off the television, computer, cell phone, radio…  Go into the closet if you have to.  You must quiet your mind.

Your spirit should control your mind and body.  The flesh controls the weak in spirit.  As we focus on knowledge without wisdom and understanding, the mind begins to take control.  We then begin to overanalyze everything and we become suspicious by nature.  Our minds create problems to be solved.  We begin to rationalize away anything that would suggest that we are on the wrong path.  After all, would our own mind betray us?  Absolutely!

Judges 17:5 The man Micah had a shrine, and made an ephod and household idols;fn and he consecrated one of his sons, who became his priest. 6 In those days there was no king in Israel; everyone did what was right in his own eyes.

In the book of Judges, Israel would be delivered and then revert back to their previous traditions.  The cycle of judgment would start over and create another need for deliverance.  Each time, the time of judgment increased in length.

Our mind is not the source of Truth, Our Heavenly Father is.  Our mind will attempt to control us and steer us away from Truth.  Men have conjured up all sorts of alternatives to the Truth.  They would have us believe that life does not begin until the child comes through the birth canal, as though the child was an inanimate object for nine months.  They would have us believe that disease is the absence of a pharmaceutical drug.  The mind creates enemies and adversaries, Love reconciles them.

Philippians 4:8  Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

Truth, honesty, justice, purity, lovely, good reports, virtue, and praiseworthy… this should be what we think about, meditate on, and place our focus.

Notice that Truth comes first.  If you know the Truth, you can discern the others in the list.  Renewing the mind requires us to meditate, think, dwell on HIS Word.  If you bombard your senses with other sources, don’t expect to mature as a Son of GOD.  Loud music is designed to dull our sense of hearing.  250 cables channels are designed to burn up the time, eliminating any time for meditation.  Is entertainment bad?  No, just excessive, unbalanced, time-burning attention to anything that would draw you away from becoming sensitive to HIS Spirit would be an issue.

When we renew our minds, we are then prepared to minister life to others.  Once our mind is renewed, we become purveyors of the Truth, a standard of light to those residing in darkness.  Our life will expose the lawlessness and promote repentance.  Our joy will be like a magnet to those in turmoil and they will want to experience that same heartfelt joy in their lives.  Wisdom and understanding will come forth out of your mouth.  As you renew your mind, you will focus on what is important and relevant to your calling rather than just biding time.  As a man I knew once said, “Stop your stinking thinking!”  Only those with a renewed mind will truly be able to bring for the Kingdom.  Everyone else will be attending the school of “correction”.

Romans 12:2   And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.

There are three different levels of the will of Our Heavenly Father:  good, acceptable, and perfect

In order to discern and move to HIS perfect will, you must change, or be transformed.  This is done by the renewing of your mind.  The renewing of your mind requires you to give up previously held doctrines of men and focus on HIS ways.  Simply put, you must change.  Unless you have reached the pinnacle of your calling, there is room for growth and maturity.  The above three levels of HIS will can be associated with the three major feasts of the year: Passover, Pentecost, and Tabernacles.

When Our Heavenly Father created the Heavens and the earth, HE created and saw that it was “good”.  Jesus stated “I am the good shepherd; the good shepherd lays down His life for the sheep” and “I am the good shepherd, and I know My own and My own know Me”.  All of this occurred prior to the age of Pentecost.

Pentecost is known by its greater power by the “infilling” of the Holy Spirit into vessels who continue to deal with sin and lawlessness in their lives.  Hence the bread offering of this feast contained leaven:

Leviticus 23:16 You shall count fifty days to the day after the seventh sabbath; then you shall present a new grain offering to the LORD. 17 You shall bring in from your dwelling places two loaves of bread for a wave offering, made of two-tenths of an ephah; they shall be of a fine flour, baked with leaven as first fruits to the LORD.

In HIS plan, HE knew mankind would deal with the sin issue during the Pentecostal age.  This was all part of HIS acceptable will.  We should not be surprised at the scandals and lawlessness observed in the church leadership for it was expected by Our Heavenly Father when HE instituted the Law with its various sacrifices.  The overall population reflects the state of the church.  Sin has abounded.

Now to the perfect will.  This is associated with the feast of Tabernacles, the 3rd and final age.  It is known for the perfection of the saints, the full maturity of those called to rule and reign with Christ.  In order to be one of those in this group, you must change.  You must cut away the fleshliness of your thoughts, intents, habits, customs, and assumptions.  Your mind must be renewed.  Don’t think that Our Heavenly Father is going to force this upon you.  HIS Spirit draws men unto HIM, HE does not “drive” them like cattle.  This is why Jesus frequently used the example of sheep and fish.  Sheep know their master and follow Him.  Fish swim in schools and are accepted by others in the school.  They are drawn to their kind.

You can choose the subject of your thinking, you can choose your emotional tones, you can choose your own moods.  You determine your disposition.  Unless you decide to change, you are destined to stay in the same quagmire you are currently in.

In 1 Corinthians 15, Paul states:

33 Do not be deceived: “Evil company corrupts good habits.” 34 Awake to righteousness, and do not sin; for some do not have the knowledge of God. I speak this to your shame.

Effectively, you become like the company you keep.  If you hang out with those who constantly speak polluted thoughts, it will negatively impact you.  You must separate yourself from those who persist in corrupting those around them.  You cannot fellowship with “Evil company”.  However, mature Sons can minister to those same people, not being moved by their words or deeds.  Once again, you are responsible to change.  Don’t think that on some future prophetic day that Our Heavenly Father is simply going to force a change on you so you can participate in some calling.  HE expects you to focus on your own maturity so that you can join others when a prophetic “corporate” event occurs.  Paul says it like this in Colossians 3:

12 Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering; 13 bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do. 14 But above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection.

If you want to be in the center of Our Heavenly Father’s “perfect” will, you must put on Love, which is the bond of perfection.  A “bond” holds things in place.  The third will of Our Heavenly Father centers around Love, HIS primary characteristic and the center of HIS Divine Intent.  Get your Spiritual knife out and start cutting away the flesh.  It is your responsibility.

Oh, how I love Your law!
It is my meditation all the day.

“The Law” is more than the 613 commandments and statutes.  There are the natural laws such as the law of gravity.  There is the law of seedtime and harvest.  There are laws that govern all of existence and those laws originate from Our Heavenly Father.  As we dwell and meditate on HIS Laws, we begin to understand their proper use.  The physical is a representation of the Spiritual Divine Intent.  In the Spirit, there is no sickness and disease.  When the physical is not in harmony with the Spiritual, death and decay occur.  If we are able to understand the higher principles of the Spiritual, we can properly operate in them.

Proverbs 4:18 But the path of the righteous is like the light of dawn, That shines brighter and brighter until the full day.

We are required to walk in a specific direction to establish a path.  If you do nothing, don’t expect to be on the right path.  Procrastination is the thief of time.  If you are waiting for your ship to come in, you will still be there next year… fruitless.  If you earnestly focus your time on meditating HIS higher Laws and Principles, you will increase in understanding, knowledge, and ultimately skill.

“For as a man thinks in his heart, so is he.” (Proverbs 23:7)  What are you thinking about, what is your focus?  If you focus on Love, you become Love.  If you focus on worldly lusts, you will enter in.  The remnant of Our Heavenly Father loves His Law and seeks to walk in its fullness.  Not for personal gain, but for the benefit of all mankind.  If you Love of Truth, you will know the Truth, and it will set you free of man’s limitations.

Jesus understood the higher law of healing.  He consistently operated in it, not just 5 or 10 percent of the time:

Matthew 4:23  And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease among the people.

Luke 9:11 But when the multitudes knew it, they followed Him; and He received them and spoke to them about the kingdom of God, and healed those who had need of healing.

Notice that in both cases, Jesus was teaching about the Kingdom.  The Kingdom operates by a set of Laws and Principles and Jesus healed according to them.  He did not ask Our Heavenly Father to temporarily suspend a law but instead evoked the intent of the law and restored the physical to be in harmony with the spiritual.

I believe Dr. Speckhart’s book “Quantum and Non-Quantum States of The Lord Jesus Christ” is one of the keys to understanding the laws of healing.  It is needful for those on the path to bring forth the “light of dawn” to mankind, to have an understanding of these states Dr. Speckhart describes.  I believe your level of effectiveness in an area is determined by your maturity in that area.  Don’t think that there will be some external event on a feast day when you will be suddenly endowed with power and authority simply because you were “called”.  The chosen are those whose hearts are directed to Heaven and continually prepare unto the maturity required for such an endowment.  They will be among the five wise virgins who took oil in their vessels with their lamps.  If you do nothing until that day of fruition, you will be one of those saying, ‘Lord, Lord, open to us!’   But He will answer and say, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, I do not know you.’  Now is the time!

The source of all truth comes from Our Heavenly Father.  Men will take a truth and put a subtle variance in it and still call it “truth”.  That has effectively happen in most of our legal systems on earth today that proclaim to operate on “the truth, the whole truth, nothing but the truth”.  They have removed “so help me GOD”.  For all practical purposes, most of creation is committing perjury.

Truth is most often used to mean in accord with fact or reality, or fidelity to an original or to a standard or ideal.  I would state that Truth must reside with the Creator of Heaven and earth and HE establishes Truth.  After all, HE originates the Law, the facts, reality, a code of conduct, perfection, and completion.  HIS Divine Intent of Love is the ultimate source of Truth.

It is my intent to write these blogs not only to present facts, but to state the truth of the matter.  That can be difficult as our society continues to accelerate in its lawlessness.  Is it more lawless or am I simply more aware of its lawlessness?  I believe mankind is becoming more lawless.  I have now lived long enough to observe a decades-long trend toward lawlessness.  Once prayer was taken out of the school, many children were no longer exposed to the “Fear of GOD”.  After a generation of schools without prayer, violence has increased among school-aged children.  Drugs, sex, murder, suicide, and other violence plague the schools now.  Do we call that progress?

Our legal system is broken.  The entitled simply pay their way out of harm’s way while the rest of us suffer from their lawlessness.  The “too big to fail” (TBTF) banks continue their casino operations after their buddies bailed them out of the last financial meltdown.  The high court has determine a corporation is effectively a “person” and can contribute to a politician’s reelection.  A few select individuals control huge amounts of money that can sway a politician’s vote.  The Truth is not considered in the matter, only money.

John 8:32  “And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”

In one sense, I am appalled that the CIA would place this Scripture on their wall.  In another sense, the power and authority of that Scripture will evoke judgment on this and other spy agencies who are embedded in lies, abuses, and deceptions.  These agencies openly lie to Congress under the abused term “national security”.  It is truly a sad commentary on the state of our country.

Isaiah 1:9 ​​Unless the LORD of hosts

​​Had left to us a very small remnant,

​​We would have become like Sodom,

​​We would have been made like Gomorrah.

As a nation, we have many of the aspects of Sodom and Gomorrah operating openly in our country.  These two cities were known for their unnatural sexual practices and drug addiction.  Effectively, our nation has moved away from righteousness and condoned these practices.  The Good News is that Our Heavenly Heavenly has reserved “a very small remnant” who are willing to pursue Truth in spite of the pressure to accept the lawlessness of the current environment.

For those of us continuing to pursue the fullness of Truth, we will ultimately be empowered with authority to confront the lawlessness just as Jesus did when He walked among the people.  HIS Glory will shine in us and expose the lies for what they are.  Perversion of the Truth will no longer be hidden but will be exposed for all to see.  The people will cry in their pillows as they realize they have been deceived throughout their lives.  The illusion of “righteousness” will evaporate and the ugliness of their lawless state will be judged and corrected.  They will finally see the “brightness of HIS coming” and then, the real Truth will set them free.
