Walking In The Sevenfold Aspects of The Spirit

Are we fully surrendered to the instruction of The Holy Spirit? It is written by The Holy Spirit in Isaiah chapter 11: 2 (ESV)  "And the Spirit of the LORD shall rest upon Him, the Spirit of Wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and might, the Spirit of knowledge and the Fear of the LORD." This verse is one of the clearest Old Testament prophecies describing the Messiah, fulfilled in Jesus Christ. It follows Isaiah 11:1, which speaks of "a shoot from the stump of Jesse"—a descendant of Jesse (David's father). Though David's royal line appeared cut down like a tree stump, God promised that a new King would arise. Isaiah 11:2 explains how this King would rule: through the fullness of the Holy Spirit. A Sobering Indictment

Are we fully surrendered to the instruction of The Holy Spirit? Jesus instructed The Beloved Disciple to write by The Holy Spirit in Revelation chapter 3: 1 "And to the angel of the church in Sardis write, 'These things says He Who has the seven Spirits of God and the seven stars: "I know your works, that you have a name that you are alive, but you are dead.” What a serious indictment directed to a church!  How many pastors would deny that their church falls into this category? This is one of the most sobering statements Jesus makes to any of the seven churches. Unlike several of the other churches, Sardis receives almost no commendation. In Full Surrender

Are we fully surrendered to Our Heavenly Father? Paul wrote by The Holy Spirit in Romans chapter 12: 1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, Holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. It is reasonable for FATHER to expect us to be living sacrifices, Holy and acceptable to HIM.  It isn’t difficult but only requires us to make a decision. This passage teaches that the Christian life is not centered on trying harder but on surrendering more fully to the God Who has already shown immeasurable mercy in Christ. The Restrainer: Part 2

Our Heavenly Father forewarns us before HE removes The Restrainer! Jesus spoke in Matthew chapter 24: 36 "But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only. 37 But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. 38 For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, 39 and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. The Restrainer: Part 1

Our Heavenly Father forewarns us before HE removes The Restrainer! A reliable Biblical pattern will generally meet these criteria: It appears repeatedly, not just once. It agrees with clear Biblical teaching and does not contradict explicit doctrine. It points to God's Character and redemptive purposes, not speculative ideas. It is confirmed by multiple passages rather than built on isolated verses. It often reaches its fullest meaning in Christ, Who is the center of all Scripture (Luke 24:27). Spiritual Eyes Are Vital

We are to develop our “spiritual eyes”! Paul recounts what Jesus spoke in Acts chapter 26: 18  "To open their eyes, so that they may turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in me." This verse is part of Paul's testimony before King Agrippa. Paul is recounting what the risen Jesus told him on the road to Damascus. This verse is one of the clearest summaries in the New Testament of the purpose of the Gospel and Christian ministry. This verse unfolds in a beautiful progression. 1. "To open their eyes" Jesus begins with spiritual sight. Before a person comes to Christ, they are spiritually blind. 2 Corinthians 4:4 says the god of this world has blinded the minds of unbelievers. Walk In Forgiveness

Forgiveness is one of the highest expressions of Agape Love! Jesus spoke in Luke chapter 23: 34 While they were nailing Jesus to the cross, Jesus prayed over and over, “Father, forgive them, for they don’t know what they’re doing.” The soldiers, after they crucified Him, gambled over His clothing. Jesus expressed forgiveness to those who nailed Him to the cross.  Jesus never denied forgiveness and mercy. Jesus spoke in Matthew chapter 6: 14–15 "For if you forgive others their trespasses, Your Heavenly Father will also forgive you, but if you do not forgive others their trespasses, neither will Your Father forgive your trespasses." These verses immediately follow the Lord's Prayer, where Jesus taught His disciples to pray: "Forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors." Walk In Compassion

Jesus walked in compassion and so should we! Biblical compassion is the God-given ability to see people through His Eyes, be deeply moved by their need, and Lovingly act to bring relief, healing, hope, or restoration. Compassion is much more than feeling sorry for someone. Biblically, compassion is Love that is deeply moved by another person's suffering and is motivated to relieve it. The English word "compassion" comes from Latin: com = with passio = suffering Literally, it means "to suffer with." In Scripture, compassion is one of God's defining characteristics. When God revealed Himself to Moses, the first attribute He mentioned was compassion. The Character Of Christ

How do you reflect the character of Christ in your life? Paul wrote by The Holy Spirit in Ephesians chapter 5: 18 "And do not get drunk with wine, for that is debauchery, but be filled with the Spirit." This verse is one of Paul's clearest contrasts between being controlled by the flesh and being controlled by the Holy Spirit. It is not merely about alcohol; it is about who or what controls your life. The contrast Paul presents two opposing influences: 1. "Do not get drunk with wine" Alcohol affects the mind, judgment, emotions, and behavior. Drunkenness represents yielding control to something external that weakens self-control and spiritual sensitivity. The Greek word translated "debauchery" (asōtia) refers to reckless living, wastefulness, and moral ruin.
