We Shall See Him As He Is

December 5th, 2017

The Beloved Disciple wrote by THE SPIRIT in 1st John chapter 3:

1 Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God!  Therefore the world does not know us, because it did not know Him.

2 Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is.

3 And everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure.

As we focus on becoming like Jesus we become more pure to the point of being pure.  Every spot and wrinkle is removed as we become like Him.  Do we dare believe and accept this Truth to the point of it becoming a reality in our life?  As for me, I am willing to pursue this level of purity until it is fully manifested in me and I encourage you to do the same.  What can be more important than this priority?  My life is based on the acceptance of the Truths revealed to me in Scripture and the good fruit have testified of this reality.

You may ask how I am able to write daily concerning the various Truths found in Scripture?  It is only by HIS SPIRIT in me and my willingness to listen to FATHER am I able to write in this fashion.  These writings minister life to me on a daily basis and I trust they impact you in the same manner.  I see my life improve with each writing and FATHER reveals certain aspects in my life needing correction but HE does it in a Loving manner.  The more time I spend with HIM, the more I become like His Son.  The impurities are being revealed and removed in areas I had not considered in the past.  Like the pealing of an onion, every issue is being brought to the surface and is being dealt with.

As we align our spirit, soul, and body with Jesus Christ we become like Him.  As a result we place our trust in His Blood and His Body when we take Holy Communion to resolve any issues in our body.  In the Revelation of Jesus Christ John the Beloved Disciple wrote by The Spirit:

10 Then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, “Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down.

11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death.

As FATHER responds to our needs, we develop testimonies to be shared with those whom we encounter.  It is important to openly share what FATHER is doing through His Son Jesus Christ in our lives.  Our full salvation of spirit, soul, and body come forth as we become pure in our hearts for our mind and body will respond as well.  In the blood of Jesus Christ is the power of Divine Life and this is why we must not take Holy Communion lightly.  The soulish man would convince us that it is just a tradition and we are obligated to be compliant.   Traditions are the enemies of revelation.

Adam was in a pure state until his transgression and it took years for his body to respond to death.  FATHER’S Breath of Divine Life had sustained Adam in a pure state but it quickly departed at the separation.  Jesus reversed the curse and we should expect to be fully restored by Jesus’ perfect and acceptable Blood sacrifice.  Men would try to convince us we are pursuing the unachievable but who are we going to listen to- man or Our Heavenly Father?  I can personally testify that The Word works in my life and as a result no one can convince me otherwise.  Our soul would attempt to compromise us in our commitment to walk by The Word if we allow logic and reasoning to dilute the revelation contained in The Word.

Are you willing to believe the Gospels and Epistles to be totally true?  Do you believe in miracles and Divine healing?  I do and I have experience in both areas thus you cannot convince me otherwise and this is the “word of my testimony”.  The Blood of The Lamb and Jesus’ Body is greater than any obstacle you and I will face.  The world cannot understand us because those in the world are blinded to the revelation of Jesus Christ.  As their hearts are pricked and are led to find out why we are full of Love, joy, and peace then FATHER will open their eyes to the extremely Good News of Jesus Christ.  In Matthew chapter 5 Jesus stated unequivocally:

8 Blessed are the pure in heart,  for they shall see God.

The fact that He stated this Truth means it is attainable thus we can have a pure heart and we shall see FATHER.  Why would Jesus make that statement otherwise?  He told us out of Love what we can attain as we fully commit ourselves to Him and our FATHER through His Blood.  It is attainable as we overcome the soulish man and begin our walk in THE SPIRIT.  With Love perfecting us we shall see Him as He is and then as John wrote in chapter 4 verse 17 “As He is so are we”.

We Are Members

December 4th, 2017

Paul wrote by THE SPIRIT in Ephesians chapter 5:

29 For no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as the Lord does the church.

30 For we are members of His body, of His flesh and of His bones.

31 “For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.”

32 This is a great mystery, but I speak concerning Christ and the church.

33 Nevertheless let each one of you in particular so love his own wife as himself, and let the wife see that she respects her husband.

Is there any man who wants sickness or disease in his body?  What would I do to rid myself of sickness or disease and return my body to peace and health?  Do I seek to have a headache, backache, or a life-threatening disease?  Absolutely not!  Do I try to inflict excruciating pain on my body?  No way!  I want my body to be completely healthy and able to do whatever my heart desires.  I love my body and want to walk in the wholeness and perfect design as FATHER ordained when HE formed me in the womb.  HIS Love is fully manifested when I am returned to HIS perfect design.

Each of us cherishes his or her own flesh and we all nourish our flesh with whatever resources we have available to us according to the revelation we have.  Many look to men who have come up with various formulas for staying healthy but FATHER made each of us unique thus one formula does not fit all.  As I seek to be one with FATHER, HE leads me to a more healthy state.  As I increase in the revelation of Love, all aspects of my being will rise to a higher and healthier state until I truly attain the reality “As Jesus is so am I”.

In the above passage, Jesus clearly Loves His Body as Himself and we are His Body.  We are to become One with Him so the question is “Does each of us conform to His state of complete health or does He conform to our state of health?”.  There is no question that each of us will submit to His state of Divine health.  In addition each of us will walk according to THE SPIRIT and produce good and desirable fruit of The Holy Spirit: love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Gal 5:22-23).

Jesus has prayed and declared that we be one with Him.  The Beloved Disciple wrote by THE SPIRIT in John chapter 17:

20 “I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word;

21 that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me.

22 And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one:

23 I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me.”

Consider and ponder this prayer.  If there is any prayer FATHER would answer, it is the prayer of HIS Son whom HE sent.  This prayer is the expressed intent of Jesus declaring us to be His Body and His desire for us to embrace being One with Him.  The disciples have testified of Jesus Christ as written in the New Testament and you and I have believed their testimony with our hearts and our confession.  We are therefore included in His prayer to FATHER and should embrace the results of this prayer.  FATHER is not reluctant to answer the prayer of HIS Son so we know it has been fulfilled and manifested.  Let each of us accept the fullness of this prayer in our individual walks.

Love wants to share.  In 1978 I was sent to Hawaii for business but my wife could not join me because she was pregnant and could not fly.  I realized on that trip that even though I was in one of the most beautiful places on earth, if I did not have my wife to share it with me, it simply was not the same when viewing it alone.  That Truth and reality made an indelible mark on my life.  How much more is Jesus’ desire to have us experience His Divine life while walking out our individual callings!

FATHER saw that Adam should not experience life without a wife so how much more should Jesus have a bride to experience His life.  As true Love is manifested between husband and wife, there is a peace beyond understanding when they are in total unity.  The flesh is the outward expression of what is on the inside and bone is the structure maintaining stability and enables the flesh to accomplish the desires of the heart.  Paul wrote by THE SPIRIT in 1 Corinthians chapter 6:

19 Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?

20 For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.

Let us accept the Truth we are able to glorify FATHER in our bodies as well as our spirits.  Let us express the reality we are members of His Body knowing that all spots and wrinkles are being removed so that we are becoming a glorious body.  This Truth is greater than sickness and disease which are temporary by nature.  This Truth will overcome any and all issues as we fully accept this Truth above all our trials for we are truly members of the Body of Christ!

Be Of Good Cheer

December 3rd, 2017

By THE SPIRIT it is written in Matthew chapter 14:

22 Immediately Jesus made His disciples get into the boat and go before Him to the other side, while He sent the multitudes away.

23 And when He had sent the multitudes away, He went up on the mountain by Himself to pray. Now when evening came, He was alone there.

24 But the boat was now in the middle of the sea, tossed by the waves, for the wind was contrary.

25 Now in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went to them, walking on the sea.

26 And when the disciples saw Him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, “It is a ghost!” And they cried out for fear.

27 But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying, “Be of good cheer! It is I; do not be afraid.”

The disciples were in the middle of the sea at night yet Jesus could see them albeit supernaturally.  The sea is also a metaphor for humanity (the sea of humanity as in the Book of Revelation depicting carnal mankind until full restoration comes forth producing peace becoming the sea of glass).  The disciples were afraid they were going to die by drowning thus they were gripped with fear.  The phrase “It is I” is also translated “I am” and they were told not to be afraid because “I am” is here for Jesus and THE FATHER are One. “Don’t be afraid, I Am.”  Jesus also told the disciples to be of good cheer or be of good courage for they were not going to die in the middle of the sea.  The word courage means to have strength in the face of adversity of any type.  We see Peter responding to “I am”:

28 And Peter answered Him and said, “Lord, if it is You, command me to come to You on the water.”

29 So He said, “Come.” And when Peter had come down out of the boat, he walked on the water to go to Jesus.

30 But when he saw that the wind was boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink he cried out, saying, “Lord, save me!”

31 And immediately Jesus stretched out His hand and caught him, and said to him, “O you of little faith, why did you doubt?”

32 And when they got into the boat, the wind ceased.

33 Then those who were in the boat came and worshiped Him, saying, “Truly You are the Son of God.”

We need to be of good courage for the Son of FATHER is with us as we deal with the contrariness of the times which are intended to strike fear in our hearts.  FATHER WHO is the Great I AM is on our side so who can truly stand against us!  Our faith grows by hearing The Word and as we are no longer of little faith but instead of great and mighty faith, we will truly be able to walk on water as the need arises.  Jesus kept Peter from sinking and helped him back into the boat thus both were able to walk back to the boat together.  Jesus will carry our weight if need be until our faith can sustain us above the contrary and boisterous waves.

We must not forget that Peter successfully walked on the water while his eyes were fixed on Jesus.  It wasn’t until he took his eyes off of Jesus, looked away, and allow fear to enter in did he begin to sink.  As we look to our Intercessor we will be able to walk above the adverse cares of the world too.  Once it fully sinks in that “As He is so are we” each of us will finally overcome any and all adversity in our life.  Fear will no longer be able to enter in and take precedence as we fix our gaze upon Our High Priest.  When we have fully received the revelation “As He is so am I” in our hearts, we will be able to walk above the adversities just as Jesus walked on the boisterous sea.

Interceding For Us

December 2nd, 2017

None of us are are truly alone in our walk.  The Love of FATHER which is in Christ Jesus has provided intercession on our behalf.  Jesus is at the right hand of FATHER interceding for you and me continually.  The challenges before us are temporary and we have Heaven looking out for our best interest in all matters.  There are no charges or condemnation able to stand against us as Jesus intercedes on our behalf for we are fully acceptable by FATHER through Him as our Sacrifice.  This is how we can declare the Truth of being more than conquers because of HIS Love.

By THE SPIRIT Paul wrote in Roman chapter 8:

31 What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?

32 He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?

33 Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies.

34 Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us.

35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?

36 As it is written:

“For Your sake we are killed all day long;

We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.”

37 Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.

38 For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come,

39 nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

NOTHING can separate us from FATHER’S Love!  Nothing can keep Jesus from successfully interceding for you and me, period!  We must be ever mindful of His intercession for we are not alone in dealing with the challenges of life.  As we realize this Truth, we are able to rest IN HIM and no longer be moved by the temporary circumstances all about us.  We must not forget the Holy Spirit also making intercession on our behalf:

26 Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.

Let our eyes be opened to the importance FATHER has placed on providing both Jesus Christ and The Holy Spirit as Intercessors on our behalf.  There is no disconnect between us and Them.  As I pray in THE SPIRIT I am helped In my weaknesses.  By HIS Love, FATHER is actively maturing us as we are dealing with the obstacles in this life so let us remain calm in the storm knowing that intercession is going forth on our behalf.

In Mark chapter 6 it is written by THE SPIRIT:

45 Immediately He made His disciples get into the boat and go before Him to the other side, to Bethsaida, while He sent the multitude away.

46 And when He had sent them away, He departed to the mountain to pray.

47 Now when evening came, the boat was in the middle of the sea; and He was alone on the land.

Jesus went to spend time with FATHER beginning around 6 PM (during the 1st watch), at the beginning of the nighttime hours.   He had just miraculously fed 5,000 men plus women and children and was going up the mountain to pray.

48 Then He saw them straining at rowing, for the wind was against them. Now about the fourth watch of the night He came to them, walking on the sea, and would have passed them by.

Notice that the disciples were straining at rowing.  The word for straining is basanizō and means: to torture; to vex with grievous pains (of body or mind), to torment; to be harassed, distressed; struggling.  They were following Jesus’ command to travel across the water but they faced tremendous resistance as a result.  At least six hours later during the 4th watch, Jesus came to them.  We can easily conclude Jesus spent this six hours in prayer on the mountain spending time with FATHER and in the darkest hour of the night He could see them in their struggles.  We should also note that Jesus was watching them even though it was the darkest hour and He was fully aware of their “straining”.  This resulted in Him coming to their rescue.  We now find out why they had such difficulty:

49 And when they saw Him walking on the sea, they supposed it was a ghost, and cried out;

50 for they all saw Him and were troubled. But immediately He talked with them and said to them, “Be of good cheer! It is I; do not be afraid.”

51 Then He went up into the boat to them, and the wind ceased. And they were greatly amazed in themselves beyond measure, and marveled.

52 For they had not understood about the loaves, because their heart was hardened.

Their hearts were hardened and they were afraid so Jesus acted on their behalf and calmed the sea.  Even when our hearts are not “right” Jesus still intercedes on our behalf.  The ultimate result of intercession will be peace in our lives and He will remove the hardness in our hearts so we are able to receive greater revelation.

The Importance Of Our Words

December 1st, 2017

Paul wrote by THE SPIRT in Romans chapter 10:

9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.

10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.  (NASB: for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.)

11 For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.”

12 For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him.

13 For whoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved.”  NKJV

The above passage indicates our words are critical to receiving salvation.  However, this is not intended to discount the importance of the state of our heart.  Our confession is witnessed by our ears and as a result our mind, will, emotions, and body begin to respond according to what we confess.  As I look back on my life I find that when sickness or disease has arrived on my doorstep, it is due to me being “diluted” of FATHER’S Word in the area of healing.  From a practical standpoint, this may be the most important writing to heed with respect to dealing with adverse situations each of us encounter.

Our minds will easily distract us from the revelation of The Word in our lives.  Jesus spoke in Matthew chapter 13:

22 Now he who received seed among the thorns is he who hears the word, and the cares of this world and the deceitfulness of riches choke the word, and he becomes unfruitful.

Jesus describes the thorns as worries and deceitfulness of riches thus anything taking our focus away from the life in The Word is a curse and will cause undesirable fruit to come forth.  As I focus on The Word coming forth out of my mouth and becoming alive in my heart, my mind and body will begin to line up with the zoe life in The Word.  In times past I have allowed myself to become diluted with pursuits of logic and reasoning resulting in me dealing with adversities that should not have occurred.  I can cite several instances when I failed to be “immersed” in The Word in particular areas and paid dearly for not heeding what FATHER taught me back in 1984 when I became sick with hepatitis from tainted shellfish.  Long story short… I was void of HIS Word in the area of healing.  More specifically I had allowed myself to become diluted in that area until I became “void”.

There are key verses to ponder relevant to each area of our life and we should not allow ourselves to grow cold in the revelation contained in those verses.  One effective way is to confess those verses and apply them to our life on a continual basis.  Some might say that it is unnecessary to do this but we only need to look at the lesson of the Tabernacle and the importance of keeping ordained reminders of FATHER’S salvation before us at all times.  In Psalm chapter 40:

16  Let all those who seek You rejoice and be glad in You;
Let such as love Your salvation say continually,
“The LORD be magnified!”

We are told in Joel chapter 3 by THE SPIRIT, ’Let the weak say, ‘I am strong.’  We are not confessing something false but a Truth based on FATHER’S Word which is greater than any circumstance we face.  A temporary situation is not greater than an everlasting reality.  It is that simple.  As we continually plant The Word in an area which has become barren, we will again reap a harvest as The Word takes hold and grows strong within us.  Simply look at the Words Jesus spoke to the multitudes and their fruitful response to being healed.  None had an exhaustive concordance and multiple versions of the written Word.  They simply heard and believed without being distracted by the noise we now find ourselves subjected to as a result of today’s technology, TV, and other sources of media.

I will be the first to admit that I have been lax in proclaiming the promises of FATHER in a continual manner and I have allowed dilution in some areas of my life.  Now that I have once again brought this issue to the surface, I will immerse myself in the areas lacking.  I will confess The Word and allow it to saturate my spirit, soul, and body.  I expect my soul and body to once again conform to The Word in areas where I have become weak.  Sometimes we simply need to get back to the basics and the simplicity of The Word.  Selah!

Purity Of Thought

November 30th, 2017

By THE SPIRIT it is written in Exodus 28:

36 “You shall also make a plate of pure gold and engrave on it, like the engraving of a signet:

HOLINESS TO THE LORD.

37 And you shall put it on a blue cord, that it may be on the turban; it shall be on the front of the turban.

38 So it shall be on Aaron’s forehead, that Aaron may bear the iniquity of the holy things which the children of Israel hallow in all their holy gifts; and it shall always be on his forehead, that they may be accepted before the LORD.

Aaron was to wear a turban with a pure plate of gold covering his forehead representing a Divine, pure thought life.  The purity of thought allowed the children of Israel to be acceptable before FATHER.  FATHER began teaching us a lesson about our thought life as HE instructed Aaron to wear this gold plate on his forehead.  Our thought life is where our battle is fought and as we take on Jesus’ Divine nature (gold) through salvation, we become acceptable to FATHER.

FATHER sees us through Jesus Who sits at FATHER’S right hand thus we are perpetually acceptable in HIS eyes.  This is a result of Jesus taking on the curse of mankind and it was represented by another crown as written in John chapter 19:

5 Then Jesus came out, wearing the crown of thorns and the purple robe. And Pilate said to them, “Behold the Man!”

This too was necessary as Jesus Who had purity of thought was required to receive all the impure thoughts (curses) of the world and overcome them by the cross.  Knowing this we must not allow impure thoughts to rule us in any manner for we have been give the victory over our thought life by Christ Jesus.  We can and will change as we take on Christ in our lives.

In Revelation of Jesus Christ chapter 14 verse 14 Jesus is described as “One like the Son of Man, having on His head a golden crown”.  Jesus is eternally accepted by FATHER so we too are eternally accepted by FATHER.  Jesus will receive more crowns at His feet when the kings of the earth accept Him as well.  In chapter 4 it is written:

10 the twenty-four elders fall down before Him who sits on the throne and worship Him who lives forever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying:

11 “You are worthy, O Lord,

To receive glory and honor and power;

For You created all things,

And by Your will they exist and were created.”

The twenty-four elders realized that their lives were as a result of FATHER’S acts and submitted their thought life wholly to FATHER and His Son sitting at HIS right hand.  As we receive and embrace the revelation that IN HIM we have our being, we too will submit our thought life to HIM and we will maintain pure thoughts no matter what the enemy attempts in our lives.  The enemy wants us to focus on ourselves and exalt ourselves above Christ so we must resist by taking every thought captive and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of GOD.

We are to proclaim and declare “As He is so am I.”  If I am accepted purely because of Jesus Christ sitting at FATHER’S right Hand then I am speaking Truth to my mind.  Jesus called the disciples in Luke 24:25 “O foolish ones, and slow of heart to believe in all that the prophets have spoken!”  Let us not be slow to believe so that we can maintain purity of heart and thought.  Jesus has provided The Way for us to walk in this manner but it is up to us to believe what is written by THE SPIRIT.  We must overcome and cast down any thought which would keep us in bondage.  Jesus has provided the means and it is our individual responsibility to maintain purity of thought.

As He Is So Are We

November 29th, 2017

The Beloved Disciple wrote by THE SPIRIT in 1 John chapter 4:

17 Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness in the day of judgment; because as He is, so are we in this world.

18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love.

19 We love Him because He first loved us.

As mentioned yesterday, we are no longer in bondage to the fear of death.  As we are perfected in Love, fear is cast out as well as the torment associated with it.  If we are continuing to deal with fear then we know Love has not yet been perfected in us and we need to make a note of that Truth in our everyday living.  By THE SPIRIT Paul prayed and wrote in Ephesians chapter 1:

17 that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him,

18 the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints,

19 and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power

20 which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places,

21 far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come.

22 And He put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be head over all things to the church,

23 which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.

Each of us should personalize this prayer for it is an excellent request to be brought before FATHER.  Jesus is sitting at rest next to FATHER has our High Priest interceding for us in righteousness and justice in all Truth.  The Truth revealed to us in Love by FATHER will indeed set us free from all bondage.  There is no authority greater than the authority of Jesus Christ sitting at FATHER’S Right Hand and we have unfettered access to this authority given to us through His Blood at the cross.  Death has been overcome so we should walk accordingly without the fear of death.

Jesus is at rest and we should be at rest as well.  In Matthew chapter 11 Jesus spoke:

28 “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

29 Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.

30 For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”

It is our responsibility to respond to Jesus’ invitation to rest.  We must come to Him and become like Him for as we do we will be able to proclaim “As He is so are we”.  We need to cease from our own works which produce anxiety and worry.  We do this by hearing and responding to HIS Word and being led by THE SPIRIT so that we are walking according to FATHER’S plan, will, and purpose.  To become as He is we must deal with our thought life and Paul addressed this by THE SPIRIT in 2 Corinthians chapter 10:

4 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds,

5 casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ

If I have a thought contrary to Love, righteousness and Truth, I cast it down and tell my mind to quit thinking about it for my mind is to be a servant and obey my spirit.  It is not the determinant of what I focus on else my ego would take over and lead me away from being pure in heart.  It is our choice of what we ponder on and as we dwell and meditate on HIS Word we train our mind to be subject to The Way of Jesus Christ.  We are able to cast down arguments and anything attempting to exalt itself above Christ.  The final result: As He is so are we!

Dealing With Fear

November 28th, 2017

By THE SPIRIT it is written in Hebrews chapter 2:

14 Inasmuch then as the children have partaken of flesh and blood, He Himself likewise shared in the same, that through death He might destroy him who had the power of death, that is, the devil,

15 and release those who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.

People have many fears such as flying, spiders, snakes, heights… but each of these fears is really a symptom of the fear of death.  A person who is afraid of spiders is afraid of dying by a spider bite so the fear of death is behind phobias.  Jesus came to remove the bondage of the fear of death.  This bondage can last a lifetime if not dealt with through the revelation of Jesus Christ and the unconditional Love of FATHER.  Jesus took on flesh and blood in order to intercede on our behalf and once and for all He destroyed the devil’s power over death.  Jesus died that we might live.

16 For indeed He does not give aid to angels, but He does give aid to the seed of Abraham.

17 Therefore, in all things He had to be made like His brethren, that He might be a merciful and faithful High Priest in things pertaining to God, to make propitiation for the sins of the people.

18 For in that He Himself has suffered, being tempted, He is able to aid those who are tempted.

Jesus had to be made like us and experience like passions including death so that He could be our merciful and faithful High Priest.  What you and I suffer today is not unique for Jesus suffered to even a greater degree as He took on the sicknesses and sins of mankind.  He knows how we feel thus He is able to be faithful to our various situations.  We cannot say that nobody knows how we feel because our merciful High Priest has experienced worse but is still faithful to FATHER’S Word.  This in itself should encourage us to press on to our high calling no matter what our current situation might be.

Jesus overcame the temptations of the devil and is our example in doing the same.  Paul wrote by THE SPIRIT in 1 Corinthians chapter 10:

13 No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.

Those who attempt to bypass or negate the power of The Blood of Jesus Christ and His work on the cross are subject to the wiles of the devil.  Men who fail to give importance to the work of Christ are exalting themselves in their own minds and are effectively submitting to the power of the devil.  Jesus is our High Priest and no one else can take His place at the right hand of FATHER.  Fear and worry come to those who don’t have or have lost the revelation of Jesus Christ in their lives.  Jesus will always be our elder brother thus we must acknowledge Him in all things.  When we do our worry and fear will depart and in its place will be peace that surpasses all understanding.  In Philippians chapter 4 Paul wrote by THE SPIRIT:

6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God;

7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Notice that Paul exalts Jesus Christ in being the Key to our ability to have sustained peace.  We must never allow ourselves to discount the work of Christ in our lives.  It is only IN HIM and THROUGH HIM that we have life more abundantly.  As His life permeates every aspect of our existence only then will we no longer fear anything including death.

It is written in THE SPIRIT by John in the Revelation of Our Lord Jesus Christ in chapter 12:

10 Then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, “Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down.”

Who is the accuser of our brethren?  The devil is the one accusing us before FATHER yet he cannot “cast the first stone” because he has iniquity in him.  We see this in Ezekiel chapter 28:

14 “You were the anointed cherub who covers; I established you;

You were on the holy mountain of God;

You walked back and forth in the midst of fiery stones.

15 You were perfect in your ways from the day you were created,

Till iniquity was found in you.

FATHER’S Throne is based on righteousness and justice thus the devil has no power over us now.  The work done by Jesus on the cross has satisfied the righteous and just requirements to overcome death on our behalf.  We are no longer in bondage so let us embrace His work and not allow fear to plague our minds as we mature in Christ.

How Much More

November 27th, 2017

In Luke chapter 12, Jesus spoke:

22 Then He said to His disciples, “Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat; nor about the body, what you will put on.

23 Life is more than food, and the body is more than clothing.

24 Consider the ravens, for they neither sow nor reap, which have neither storehouse nor barn; and God feeds them. Of how much more value are you than the birds?

25 And which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature?

26 If you then are not able to do the least, why are you anxious for the rest?

27 Consider the lilies, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; and yet I say to you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.

28 If then God so clothes the grass, which today is in the field and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, how much more will He clothe you, O you of little faith?

29 “And do not seek what you should eat or what you should drink, nor have an anxious mind.

30 For all these things the nations of the world seek after, and your Father knows that you need these things.

31 But seek the kingdom of God, and all these things shall be added to you.

The raven is a scavenger bird and FATHER deemed it unclean.  In Leviticus chapter 11 FATHER classified the raven as an abomination and the children of Israel were forbidden to eat it.  When Jesus spoke in the above passage, His audience were Jewish people and they fully understood the food laws thus when He chose the raven in His comparison, the contrast between their value and that of a raven was great.  If FATHER is willing to feed an unclean bird how much more will HE feed and supply us with food.

Jesus is telling us to stop worrying for we cannot add length to our stature or life span.  Worry is closely associated with lack of faith and trust in FATHER and HIS ability to provide whether it be food, a solution, or overcoming a situation on our behalf.  HE created all life on earth as well as the entire universe but our ego will try to convince us that FATHER will not provide all our need.  Jesus compares Solomon, the richest man to walk the earth, with the lilies which do no work yet they are more beautiful than him.

As we increase in faith we will worry less.  When we quit worrying we enable ourselves to receive from FATHER WHO is quick to respond to our faith.  THE SPIRIT wrote in Hebrews chapter 11:

6 But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

Jesus gives us examples of the tangible rewards: food, clothing, drink, long life, and abundance.  If we have doubt in our heart then we are being doubled-minded so we must let go of our worries and seek the Kingdom of GOD.  We must become “Heavenly-minded” by having our mind subject to our spirit and allow our faith to grow unabated.  We must decide once and for all that we will not be denied the great faith Jesus referred to when He spoke of the centurion who asked Him to heal his servant without making the journey to lay hands on the servant.  As we comprehend and acknowledge the power and authority of Jesus and tap into it by faith, we will likewise see our needs met no matter what they are.  Let us see how much more FATHER wants to do in our life!  Just let go of worry and replace it with faith.

Let Not

November 26th, 2017

In John chapter 14 Jesus spoke:

25 “These things I have spoken to you while being present with you.

26 But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.

27 Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

28 You have heard Me say to you, ‘I am going away and coming back to you.’ If you loved Me, you would rejoice because I said, ‘I am going to the Father,’ for My Father is greater than I.

Jesus explicitly tells us that it is up to each of us to receive His peace and to cease being troubled and/or afraid.  It is our responsibility to no longer defer our rest because of fear, uncertainty, and doubt.  How long will we delay our rest by failing to heed the directive spoken to us by Jesus?  We are not to be moved by any of the troubles directed at us by the enemy but we are to keep our focus on FATHER’S peace which surpasses understanding.  Paul wrote by THE SPIRIT in Philippians chapter 4:

6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God;

7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

We must stand on these passages until peace replaces the turmoil in our minds caused from the challenges we each face daily.  We need to quit worrying and start exercising our faith IN HIM because worrying will not change a thing in our lives other than have a negative effect on our bodies.  By what authority does Jesus make this directive?  In Matthew 28 Jesus provides the answer:

18 And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth”.

In Luke chapter 10 Jesus provides a contrast in being troubles versus being at peace:

38 Now it happened as they went that He entered a certain village; and a certain woman named Martha welcomed Him into her house.

39 And she had a sister called Mary, who also sat at Jesus’ feet and heard His word.

40 But Martha was distracted with much serving, and she approached Him and said, “Lord, do You not care that my sister has left me to serve alone? Therefore tell her to help me.”

41 And Jesus answered and said to her, “Martha, Martha, you are worried and troubled about many things.

42 But one thing is needed, and Mary has chosen that good part, which will not be taken away from her.”

As we hear and respond to the Words of Jesus we too have chosen the “good part” which cannot be taken away from us and we will walk in peace.  Let us not become so busy that we lose our peace and become troubled in our hearts.  We should purpose to sow the seeds of peace in our hearts and allow FATHER to bring forth a harvest of peace.  If we are constantly allowing our hearts to be troubled then we will distance ourselves from HIS peace.  Paul wrote by THE SPIRIT in Galatians chapter 6:

7 Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.

8 For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life.

9 And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart (give up).

Are you constantly being attacked?  Stand fast and allow the peace to come… and it will.  As we sow peace we will reap peace but we must let patience have its perfect work because ultimately our response determines success or failure.  When we are at peace, FATHER comes to our aid.  When we are in turmoil, we have taken on the care that is plaguing us.  In Matthew chapter 6 Jesus spoke:

25 “Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing?

27 “Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature?”

And His directive to us:

33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Peace and trust IN HIM go hand in hand.  The more we trust FATHER by truly knowing HIM, the more peace we will have in our lives.  The more we know of HIS unconditional Love, the less troubled we will be when challenges come our way.  FATHER wants us to be well rounded in all aspects of the fruit of THE SPIRIT so we will become fully matured as Sons and Daughters.  Our personal development must not be forsaken in order to comply to the masses.

In verse 25 the phrase “don’t worry” is translated “take no thought” in the King James Version therefore do not take or accept those thoughts that contradict FATHER’S Word to us.  It is our individual responsibility to “let not” those thoughts take up residence in our mind but instead replace them with the sure promises of FATHER.
