Pressing Toward The Goal

May 18th, 2018

By THE SPIRIT, Paul wrote in Philippians chapter 3:

7  But whatever former things were gains to me [as I thought then], these things [once regarded as advancements in merit] I have come to consider as loss [absolutely worthless] for the sake of Christ [and the purpose which He has given my life].

8  But more than that, I count everything as loss compared to the priceless privilege and supreme advantage of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord [and of growing more deeply and thoroughly acquainted with Him—a joy unequaled]. For His sake I have lost everything, and I consider it all garbage, so that I may gain Christ,

9  and may be found in Him [believing and relying on Him], not having any righteousness of my own derived from [my obedience to] the Law and its rituals, but [possessing] that [genuine righteousness] which comes through faith in Christ, the righteousness which comes from God on the basis of faith.

10  And this, so that I may know Him [experientially, becoming more thoroughly acquainted with Him, understanding the remarkable wonders of His Person more completely] and [in that same way experience] the power of His resurrection [which overflows and is active in believers], and [that I may share] the fellowship of His sufferings, by being continually conformed [inwardly into His likeness even] to His death [dying as He did];

11  so that I may attain to the resurrection [that will raise me] from the dead.  AMPL

I find it a privilege to write by THE SPIRIT to you on a daily basis.  A friend of mine commented about this ability to write everyday but I told him that I can only write with this frequency because of The Holy Spirit within me.  Each day I seek FATHER’S Will for what is to be written and shared among the brethren who read these writings.  HE is faithful to direct me to the specific topic for that day.  I purpose to write first thing in the morning after my time of devotion to HIM and before the external tries to take my attention away from the Spiritual.  I am thankful for this opportunity to share HIS Word with the Body of Christ.  The former things of the world are no longer important to me and the advancement I sought I now consider worthless.

The zoe life in Christ is all that matters in the end.  Those who are young may have greater difficulty in placing their full trust in Christ if things are going well in their lives.  However, there will come a day when the world comes crashing around and they will reach out in desperation to FATHER for deliverance from their situation.  Why wait?  Wisdom would tell them to become strong in Christ and you will keep your peace when crisis arrives at your door.

Paul was excelling as a follower of Old Covenant and the traditions of men but now he realizes those accolades he received in his past endeavors are worthless.  Christ gave him a purpose but moreover he was given the priceless privilege and supreme advantage of knowing Christ Jesus.  We must not take that privilege for granted ourselves but let us continue to press on to full maturity in Christ.  The financial state of the world system is teetering on collapse just as it has done throughout world history (but in a much greater manner).  The Babylonian system is poised to come crashing down and all those who have placed their trust in it will be crying in their pillows.  Who will they turn to?  The mature Sons and Daughters of Our Heavenly Father.

Those who have come to realize that they don’t have any righteousness of their own but that which comes through faith in Christ Jesus, will be the ones FATHER is lifting up as standards in the coming crisis.  All the rituals of the past will be found to have no effect on spirituality.  Only the living Christ will change people’s lives and bring forth solutions to the problems at hand.

The time to press in is now, not when the crisis comes to fruition.  The time to prepare is before the pressure arrives and causes emotions to peak.  The writings as of late are meant to bring forth great faith with a foundation of Love.  This was not my idea or plan for I simply following the leading of The Holy Spirit each day.  However as I look back at the writings I have been given to write, I sense we are being prepared in a much greater manner than in the past.  Now is the time for us to die to the flesh and experience the power of His resurrection and allow it to overflow and be active in us.  Let us not be moved by the sufferings as we are being continually conformed even unto death that we may attain the power of His resurrection and walk in it.  This act of Love will benefit those in need as the fall of Babylon comes to fruition.  Let us press on!

Thank You!

May 17th, 2018

Our thanks and gratitude goes out to all who are able to financially support this ministry.  We trust you are planting your seed into good soil and will reap much fruit in return.  We also thank you for your words of encouragement, they are much appreciated.

Of None Effect

May 17th, 2018

Traditions of men are of none effect.  In Matthew chapter 15, Jesus addressed traditions of men:

1  Then some Pharisees and scribes from Jerusalem came to Jesus and said,

2  “Why do Your disciples violate the tradition (religious laws) handed down by the [Jewish] elders? For Your disciples do not [ceremonially] wash their hands before they eat.”

3  He replied to them, “Why also do you violate the commandment of God for the sake of your tradition [handed down by the elders]?

4  For God said [through Moses], ‘Honor your father and mother,’ and, ‘He who speaks evil of or insults or treats improperly father or mother is to be put to death.’

5  But you say, ‘If anyone says to his father or mother, “Whatever [money or resource that] I have that would help you is [already dedicated and] given to God,”

6  he is not to honor his father or his mother [by helping them with their need].’ So by this you have invalidated the word of God[depriving it of force and authority and making it of no effect] for the sake of your tradition [handed down by the elders].

7  You hypocrites (play-actors, pretenders), rightly did Isaiah prophesy of you when he said,

8  ‘This people honors Me with their lips,
But their heart is far away from Me.

9  ‘But in vain do they worship Me,
For they teach as doctrines the precepts of men.’”  AMPLIFIED

The religions traditions of men often develop after the revelation given by FATHER has been understood and fulfilled.  Many denominations have arisen from a revelation given to a person which has fulfilled its purpose at the time.  Martin Luther received revelation in 1517 which rejected the traditions taught in the Roman Catholic Church.  Later, the Lutheran Church was born.  Does every revelation need a new church of followers?  There is only one true church of Jesus Christ.

Traditions of men slowly replace revelation given by FATHER.  Men begin to focus on the natural when the supernatural had departed their midst.  I have personally observed this over the last 47 years.  A move of THE SPIRIT comes and blesses people, then men try to recreate it in some fashion thus becoming a tradition.  We need to seek fresh revelation from FATHER and not rely on some tradition developed by men.

We must understand FATHER’S Divine Intent behind revelation rather than simply walking out the mechanics of what we observed, hoping to recreate the revelation and its impact.  Should I go back to the Christian coffee house where I received the baptism of The Holy Spirit, hoping for a new anointing?  Oops, it is long gone.  The person, place, or thing is not what brings revelation and blessing.  It is our interaction with the Spiritual.  We must quit looking around us for something to connect us with Our Heavenly Father, but let us look up!  FATHER does not require us to take some action or be at some locale in order to move in our lives.  I have had the anointing overtake me on a commercial flight moving at 500 mph toward Chicago.  It had nothing to do with me being in seat 12D.  It has everything to do with my heart and desire to hear HIS Word.

Let us be ready at all times to hear and respond to HIS Voice.  Let us exalt Our Lord Jesus Christ by our word and our actions.  Let us submit to the Holy Spirit and remain sensitive to being led by THE SPIRIT.  If we focus our lives in this manner, we will not allow man’s traditions to overtake our walk.

FATHER Changes Not

May 16th, 2018

In Malachi chapter 3, FATHER spoke:

1 “Behold, I send My messenger, And he will prepare the way before Me. And the Lord, whom you seek, Will suddenly come to His temple, Even the Messenger of the covenant, In whom you delight. Behold, He is coming,” Says the LORD of hosts.

2 “But who can endure the day of His coming? And who can stand when He appears? For He is like a refiner’s fire And like launderers’ soap.

3 He will sit as a refiner and a purifier of silver; He will purify the sons of Levi, And purge them as gold and silver, That they may offer to the LORD An offering in righteousness.

4 “Then the offering of Judah and Jerusalem Will be pleasant to the LORD, As in the days of old, As in former years.

5 And I will come near you for judgment; I will be a swift witness Against sorcerers, Against adulterers, Against perjurers, Against those who exploit wage earners and widows and orphans, And against those who turn away an alien— Because they do not fear Me,” Says the LORD of hosts.

6 “For I am the LORD, I do not change; Therefore you are not consumed, O sons of Jacob.

Exploitation of the masses is occurring as I write.  The current Babylonian system is designed to enrich the wealthy at the expense of the wage earners, widows, and orphans.  FATHER is fully aware of our situation and will bring forth appropriate judgment on our behalf.  HIS Love does not change nor does HIS Word thus we can fully trust HIS Word to come to pass on our behalf.  FATHER’S Word will guide us through whatever judgment is coming to the current system.  HIS Love and protection for us changes not.

Jesus is no different, for it is written by THE SPIRIT in Hebrews chapter 13:

8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

If FATHER doesn’t change and Jesus Christ doesn’t change, then THEIR Words are as applicable today as when they were first spoken.  The miracle-working power contained in The Word hasn’t changed either.  Miracles are just as applicable today as when they were first recorded in Scripture.  This is what differentiates us from the religions of the world.  Our Savior is alive and performing miracles today.  Mark recorded by THE SPIRIT in chapter 16:

19 So then, after the Lord had spoken to them, He was received up into heaven, and sat down at the right hand of God.

20 And they went out and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them and confirming the word through the accompanying signs. Amen.

Jesus qualified who His disciples were in John chapter 8:

31 Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word [continually obeying My teachings and living in accordance with them, then], you are My disciples indeed.

32 And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”

As you and I abide in His Word, we too are disciples and should expect to walk in the same manner as the disciples in the Book of Acts with Jesus confirming His Word through accompanying signs.  Those signs will not be some generic sign in another country which does not specifically confirm His Word, but will be signs that will draw people to the Gospel we are preaching.

Whose teachings are you following?  Do they promote Christ and abiding IN HIM, or do they promote something else?  We must be careful in what we emphasize in our daily life.  Let us exalt Jesus Christ and His ministry through us in our daily affairs.  FATHER’S Word does not change and HIS Word is what we should count on as we conduct our daily business.  Let us put our faith and trust in HIS Word made flesh, Jesus Christ Who changes not.

Perfected Love

May 15th, 2018

The Beloved Disciple wrote by THE SPIRIT in 1 John chapter 2:

3 Now by this we know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments.

4 He who says, “I know Him,” and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

5 But whoever keeps His word, truly the love of God is perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him.

6 He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just as He walked.

We have been commanded to Love and walking in this commandment determines whether or not we are abiding in Him.  Jesus’ earthly ministry was one enveloped in Love and we should endeavor to walk in the same manner day in and day out.  As we increase in maturity, we will become more like Him in our daily affairs.  The trappings of this world will no longer be our focus.  Our interest will change and those things which were once important will no longer matter.

What were Jesus’ priorities?  To represent FATHER and reveal FATHER’S Will for mankind.  Jesus spent 3 1/2 years spreading the Good News of salvation, healing, and restoration.  He was not preoccupied with scriptural studies of the Old Covenant for He represented the New Covenant to mankind.  He did not speak ill of the Old Covenant but focused on the present and future of mankind.  Yes, He referenced the Scriptures but His priority was to show people The Way.  Should our focus be any different?

Is our desire to abide in Him?  If so, let us walk just as He walked.  Let us Love the saint and the sinner alike.  As we mature in this walk, the anointing will be upon us to walk in the same manner as Jesus walked.

What were Jesus’ Commandments?  In Mathew chapter 22, Jesus spoke:

37 Jesus said to him, “ ‘You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’

38 This is the first and great commandment.

39 And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’

40 On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.”

I dare say that most believers walk according to the first Commandment.  It is the second Commandment where most of us must focus.  What is in the best interest of those around us?  Isn’t it to be restored and healed?  Everyone whose joy is not overflowing needs some type of restoration in their life.  People in the world are walking around without peace in their hearts and attempt to fill the void with whatever the world has to offer.  Some use drugs, others seek out new thrills, and others look for affirmations through social media.  The results are always temporary.  Let us be the light unto those who are searching for peace and restoration.  As we minister life, the Holy Spirit will draw men and women unto us.  They will see Christ in us and desire the same joy we are experiencing.

It is my deepest desire to walk in perfected Love and many who read this site have the same heartfelt desire.  Let us press on and not allow the wicked one to divert our focus away from the priorities Jesus established.  Our walk must center around unwavering Love for others in order for it to be perfected.

Set Your Mind

May 14th, 2018

Paul wrote by THE SPIRIT in Colossians chapter 3:

1 If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God.

2 Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth.

3 For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.

4 When Christ who is our life appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory.

Each of us has the choice of where we place our priorities-  on the things above or on the things of the earth.  If we will set our minds on the “above”, this is where Christ resides and His priorities becomes our priorities.  What are His priorities?  You only have to read the Gospels to get a clear picture of His priorities because He carried out FATHER’S Will as He ministered to the masses.  Jesus expressed His will when He commissioned us in Mark 16:

15 And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.

16 He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned.

17 And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues;

18 they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”

Shouldn’t we be setting our minds and priorities on this commission?  Doesn’t Paul urge us to focus on the priorities of Christ?  If we died and our life is hidden with Christ, let us then focus on what is important to Christ.  Paul continued in Colossians:

8 But now you yourselves are to put off all these: anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy language out of your mouth.

9 Do not lie to one another, since you have put off the old man with his deeds,

10 and have put on the new man who is renewed in knowledge according to the image of Him who created him,

11 where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcised nor uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave nor free, but Christ is all and in all.

There is no such thing as “the elite” in Christ for we are all special in FATHER’S Eyes.  We must not allow our past failures to dictate our present and future for old things are past away, behold all things are new.  We must put off the old man who is enslaved to the past and we must go forth by renewing our minds to the Gospel.  Our old man and his deeds must be expunged from our consciousness for that old man died at the cross.  Because there is life in the blood, Jesus poured out His Blood and gave it to us that we might have life through salvation.  Holy Communion expresses this Truth.  As we reverently take Holy Communion, we continually renew our mind of the Life in His Blood.

To fulfill the Great Commission, what should we focus on in order to bring forth the Good News of salvation and healing?  Shouldn’t we set our minds to those Scriptures that refer to ministering Love, faith, and hope?  Do the unsaved need to hear a teaching on some advanced Bible topic?  Are we spending more time seeking knowledge than revelation?  Are we being led by experts on Bible knowledge or are we being led by THE SPIRIT?  As we focus on those things which are above where Christ is, FATHER will reveal what is needful for each of us to know in order for us to fulfill our part in the Great Commission.  After all, Jesus did not walk around with a Strong’s Concordance.  He simply spent time with FATHER and received whatever revelation He needed for the situation at hand.  Let FATHER’S priorities become our priorities.  HE will direct us to Scripture appropriate for the situation at hand.

What Happened 70 Years Ago

May 12th, 2018

George Hawtin, in his little booklet Mystery Babylon, relates his heart-gripping experience in these words:

“Forgive me if I boast a little, for this boasting is not the kind that savors of pride, but rather brings great sadness to my heart. There may be many men in the world qualified to speak of these things, but few have been more qualified by experience than I both to see and discern the many ramifications of the Babylonish system. I was born into the system many years ago. I walked its streets and wore its garments before I ever knew Christ as my personal Saviour. The denomination was everything. It mattered little how men lived or whether they had any personal experience with God. The thing that mattered was whether or not you were a church-goer. You did not hide the Babylonish garment in your tent; you wore it with pride. Neither did you hide the talents of silver or the wedge of gold. The more you contributed to the organization the better Christian you were.

Then one day I found Christ and my heart was filled with joy because of a love I had for Him. I wanted to be near Him and point other men to Him. He was to me the center of all things and the most important person in all the universe. It was not long, however, before I saw that I was falling into another sect. They wanted me to speak their language and help to build their tower. Was I going to join them? Was I going to preach for them? Was I going to wear their garment? Was I going to be distinctly theirs? But God was leading me on, delivering me from the prisons of Babylon, opening the rusty gates, and leading me out into the broad ways of His grace divine.

“Perhaps it was a miracle. I do not think it was chance. I learned that men could be baptized with the Holy Spirit. So I sought and found this blessed new experience in God, and joys flowed like a river as the Comforter came in. But here again the arms of another daughter of Babylon began to enfold me. Was I going to join their church? Was I going to preach for them? Was I going to take out papers and credentials? This time I was persuaded, and I did, and for seventeen years thereafter I was a faithful slave of the organization, speaking its language and building its visible tower. But I was never fully satisfied, though I loved the work, I loved the people, and I loved the students of my old Bible School. Many dozens of them went out to minister far and wide and many found their way to distant and foreign lands. I am sure their rewards will be many, indeed. “All the while there was a longing for a freedom which I did not know, a relationship with God that I did not have. Many times I taught the people that some day God would send a revelation of truth, but the very denomination we had so faithfully built would not be able to receive it. When finally that revelation did come, they were not able to receive it, and those of us who did receive were vomited like Jonah from the belly of the denominational whale, thrown up upon dry land, for we had sickened his stomach. God does not leave you in a dry land for long if you are bound to be one with Him.

Should my life be very long on earth, I shall never be able to forget the glory, the awe, the reverence, the holiness, and the power that came to our class room as we waited on God that glorious 13th of February, 1948, when God began to do a new thing that was destined for a time to shake the church systems all over America. How we sang the songs of deliverance! How the praises of God echoed down the corridors of the soul and re-echoed among the battlements of heaven! Music of heavenly choirs of earth went sweeping up the sky steeps while angels stood at heaven’s gates and swept their harps of gold. Day after day, month after month the celestial wonder continued. Heaven came down our souls to greet and glory crowned the mercy seat. People came for thousands of miles to drink at the ever flowing fountain of life and it looked for a time like the walls of Babylon were to be broken down and the whole church would come marching to Zion.

“But the Babylonian captivity was not yet over. As I look sadly in retrospect now, I can see with clearness that the great and blessed move of God was not two years old before the sectarian spirit began to show its ugly head and men began to hide the Babylonish garment in their tents together with the silver and the wedge of gold. Much as we may despise the Babylonish garment, let me use this pun: The moment the gold gets its wedge in, we are on the way back to Babylon. It is true that we vociferously denied that we had become a sect. Oh, no! Not we! We had no name; we were not registered with the government as a sect and never would be. We had done away with many of the institutions that had characterized other sects. Gone were the Bible Schools. Gone were the church buildings. Gone were the hireling pastors. Gone were so many things that would have identified us with either the Mother of harlots or any of her daughters. The old Babylonish garment was well hidden deep beneath the earth of the tent, but it was there none the less, and the whole move was becoming more and more enfolded by another tentacle of the great octopus. Stricter and more rigid became the teaching and the discipline. There was to be no fellowship with anybody who was not within the confines of our ever narrowing circle. We were the true church. We were the elect. We stood on the foundation and all other men stood on sinking sand. No man must cast out a devil unless he followed us. No teaching was worth the time it took to tell it unless it originated with us. We were the most spiritual people in the world! We were going to reign in the Kingdom and even now we were beginning to reign! We had the gifts of the Spirit, and we were going to ‘call the shots’ in the tribulation.

“We did not know that through the years false apostles had crept in among us, men who were apostles in name only, who had never founded anything in their lives but were building on the foundation of others. We did not know that the doctrines and deeds of the Nicolaitanes (which God hates — Rev. 2:6) were prevalent among us. The word Nicolaitanes is formed by two Greek words: ‘nikao’ which means to conquer and ‘laos’ witch means the people or the laity. This doctrine had reared its ugly head to the extent that the people had no voice in anything. The elders were no longer fathers, but men who were to carry out the will of those who were lords over the heritage of God. Everything was cut and dried and firmly enfolded in the arms of another of the harlot daughters of the Babylonian system. We boasted of the gifts of the Spirit, but what had become of them? Where were the healings? Where were the miracles? Where was the faith, the gift of languages, the word of wisdom, the word of knowledge? The only thing that was left was prophecy and it became a weariness to the flesh, flowing continually from the mind of man and scarcely ever having any fulfillment. Prophecy that has no fulfillment comes from one of two sources: from the mind of Satan or from the mind of man, but never from the mind of God. How often I have listened to people fumble for words as they prophesied thus giving the lie to their words having been inspired of God. How is the faithful city become a harlot! It was full of judgment; righteousness lodged in it; but now murderers (Isa. 1:21).

“I shall never cease to thank God that I was vomited out of the belly of this whale also, for we never know the depths to which we have sunk until we are able to view Babel at a distance. Then and then alone our heart gives thanks to God for deliverance from another of the harlot daughters of Babylon. ‘My soul is escaped as a bird from the snare of the fowler, the net is broken and I am escaped.’ Nevertheless one is scarcely delivered from his bondage until another arm of the Babylonian octopus lies waiting to enfold him again. But the spirit of Babylon goes much deeper than sects and denominations. It is a mystery the spirit of which seems to be deep-rooted in the heart of man. It is like an octopus with many arms reaching in all directions. If it cannot catch you with one of its arms, it will enfold you with another. It is like a demon which, being cast out, will return with seven other demons more powerful and cunning than itself. You do not have to look for the spirit of Babylon in some great and powerful denomination; you will find it in your heart if you look close enough. Mystery, Babylon, is in the forehead!”

As you can see by George’s first hand account of the Latter Rain Movement, Agape Love was missing.  We are warned how quick the anointing can depart if our motivations are not fully enveloped in Agape Love.  We must be mature in Love for the coming movement to be sustained among us.

Christ Within Is Sufficient

May 11th, 2018

Brother Eby wrote:

God’s true church is not contaminated with the defiling pollutions of Mystery Babylon. There is a little flock, there is a body of Christ, its members are scattered abroad and almost invisible to the great religious Babylon. They are seven thousand who have not bowed the knee to Baal, and they are the called and chosen and faithful who follow the Lamb whithersoever He goeth. They are those who have turned to God in the spirit from all the religious idols, to serve the living and true God, and to wait for the glory that shall yet be revealed when God’s sons come into their own. They are those who have not the form, but the power of godliness, those who keep themselves unspotted from the world, and overcome all things by faith.

Its ministers are not robed in material robes of scarlet and gold; they are robed in the righteousness of Christ. They are not trained in the seminaries and teachings of men, but by the spirit of grace and wisdom and revelation from God on High. They are not busy interpreting the creeds of the church councils of man; their very lives are the interpretation of the Christ enthroned in their hearts. They have no interest in persuading people to believe what they believe; their whole ministry is to bring people into intimacy of fellowship and vital union with God and His Christ.

In other words, GOD IS SUFFICIENT for this church He has birthed in the world of men! This church stands in need of nothing outside of God Himself! Because God is sufficient, because the Christ within is ALL, this church is left entirely free from all encumbrances to pursue the work God has given it of developing unto maturity the chosen ones so that the church may be the revelation of God’s manifold wisdom to all the principalities and powers in the celestial realms, and the hope of all creation for deliverance and restoration to the great and eternal kingdom of God! Let all who treasure the beautiful hope of sonship to God know that Christ within IS SUFFICIENT! All else is — Mystery Babylon!

The truth that is set like a diamond in the pages of God’s word is the absolute and total sufficiency of the Christ within. To say that Christ Himself is not sufficient for our whole life as sons of the most High, that the indwelling Spirit is not enough, that there is something we must do to add to, supplement, or somehow improve on what He is within us is an insult to God and an affront to our Lord Jesus Christ. Yet we see men doing this on every hand!

The carnal mind is never able to take God at His word! It continually seeks to initiate some additional actions or services on the natural plane to take the place of pure spiritual reality. Men do not need religion. They need CHRIST. They do not need to know creeds or catechisms. They need to KNOW HIM. They do not need to perform ritual, ceremony, or ordinances. They need to EXPERIENCE CHRIST.

Tradition can do nothing for them but cause them to walk in blindness, but Christ is the light of men and the light of the world, and all who follow Him will not walk in darkness but have the light of life. This is why God will judge, throw down, burn, and utterly destroy great Babylon; and this is why God is building up His holy city, the pure bride of Christ and the holy sons of God, New Jerusalem, to shine with His scintillating light of life to lighten all peoples and all nations, filling the whole earth with His glory!

There is a simplicity found in The Way of Christ and we must not allow ourselves to be misled by those who promote Mystery Babylon.  FATHER determines our qualifications, not man nor his systems.  Who better to prepare us and mature us than the ONE WHO created us!  Do not be moved by the customs, traditions and alternative paths of men.  Let The Holy Spirit minister to you and direct your steps on a daily basis knowing that Christ within you is more than sufficient.

The Intent Of Music

May 10th, 2018

What is FATHER’S Divine Intent of music?  Ezekiel wrote by THE SPIRIT in Ezekiel chapter 26:

13  ‘I will put an end to the sound of your songs, and the sound of your harps (H3658) shall be heard no more.’

I played in a rock ‘n roll band for six years while I was in high school and college.  We were a very successful local band and played over 250 engagements during that time.  However when I received the baptism of The Holy Spirit, I immediately lost interest in playing in the band and quit.  The desire was totally removed and I thought I would never play again.  Six years later, FATHER told me to play in church though I had no equipment.  I told HIM that if HE wanted me to play, HE would have to provide me a bass guitar.  Forty-five minutes later, a man was moved by THE SPIRIT (without any knowledge of my prayer) and provided the guitar.  I played praise and worship music in church for the next twenty years.  Clearly, FATHER enjoys music.

The Hebrew meaning of the stringed instrument comes from Strong’s 3658.  My friend Alan has provided details of the meaning of the Hebrew word kinnowr:

The Hebrew  rwnk which Strong’s has numbered as #3658, is a variation of the word translated as lamp, or ryn ((nyr) which is Strong’s #5216.  Another variation of nyr in the Hebrew is spelled as nr, with no inserted recognition of vahv or yode, but always with a suffix or prefix added to the word, and most times both a prefix and a suffix is added.  These prefixes and suffixes tell a lot about how the word is being used, but that is too long for this discussion.  This two letter form is usually translated simply as ‘lamp’, or ‘lamps’.  There is a variation of the word with a vahv, the sixth letter, inserted ( rwn ), or ‘nor’, which Strong’s numbers as 5135, but that spelling only shows up in that form in the Chaldee (Aramaic), and then only in Daniel.  And in Daniel this word is translated as ‘fire’, or ‘fiery’.  A further look at the concept reveals that the ‘light’ is given off by the ‘fire’; or, the source of the fire.  Our Father is a consuming Fire by the Light He reveals within us.  Boy, does that really change things.

And now, back to ‘kinnor’, or rwnk.  If we can grasp that the ‘nr’ or ‘nyr’ or ‘nor’ is communicating ‘light’, and/or the source of that ‘light’, then we only have to understand what the first letter in this spelling, the ‘caph’, represents.  The ‘caph’ is the 11th Hebrew character, and its symbolism is that of a hand, cupped so as to hold water or sand, etc.  The cupped hand is the ‘caph’, and should be understood as representing that which you attempt to hold in your ‘cupped hand’.  In that context, the caph, as a prefix (which in this word it definitely is) is usually translated with English words attempting to indicate ‘to be like’; or, ‘to be as’.  Words with the caph prefixed are often translated as ‘like’ something.  An easy example of this concept is Psalm 1:3  “And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season;”  In this verse, the word for ‘tree’ is ‘eytz’ (#[), Strong’s #6086, a two-letter word.  But the Hebrew spelling in this verse of the word for tree, which has been translated as “…like a tree”, is as this:  #[k  The translation correctly understood the meaning of the letter ‘caph’ as a prefix to this word for ‘tree’, and the English translation in this instance is quite acceptable.  So, how does that apply to ‘kinnor’, or rwnk?   This word, translated as ‘harp’, in my opinion is communicating that the ‘harp’ is used to attempt to express, by the player of the harp, a sound or music that expresses, through the playing of the instrument, the ‘Light’ that the player of the harp feels within.  It is synonymous with saying “The music of this instrument expresses the Light as I understand the Light to be”.  The music or sound of the harp is desired to be an expression “…to be like” the Light (nyr) of God.  I will even say the music of the harp (kinnor) is an expression of the Light of God within.  Remember Bob Marley’s song “One Love, One Heart”?  This was Bob’s attempt to express the Light of God as he understood it.  I think it would be fair to say of Bob Marley’s song,  “kinnor”.  ‘kinnor’ is not necessarily a physical object, like a harp or flute or lyre or drum, but it is the expression from the heart of the player of the instrument, attempting to express Light as he believes Light to be.  We know that Yashua is Light, and Christ in you and me makes us the Light of this dark world.  Marley may, or may not, know that to be truth.  However, my ‘kinnor’ is in trying to share the simplicity and purity of My Father’s Life/Light as revealed in these Hebrew words and verses of the Old Testament.  Marley does the same thing with his music.  I hope you grasp that analogy, is clumsy as if feels in writing it.  The most accurate expression of ‘kinnor’ is “As the Light”; or “To Be the Light”.  For in the Hebrew concept of these verbs, when we are ‘like’ the Light, we are accounted as ‘being’ the Light.

KJV 1 John 3:2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.     We cannot ‘see’ him until we can identify with him.  Then we can understand “…be like him”.

When we are Like Christ, we are Christ.  ‘kinnor’.  When we are Like Christ, because the Spirit of Christ has raised us out from among the spiritually dead, then Christ is being manifested in the world.  And ‘the world’ is always darkness, and confusion.  Babylon is not ‘falling’, as some understand the concept.  Babylon is fallen; past tense. Babylon is a fallen mindset, and a fallen lifestyle.  Come out of her, and be ye separate.  I believe the ‘babylonians’ of the fallen world will only understand that when the Body of Christ becomes ‘kinnor’, or Like ‘the Light’ of Christ.  For when we are ‘like’ (kinnor) Christ, we are Christ.  For the Light we have to offer is from the fire of Our Father within.  “If you have seen me, you have seen My Father”.

Let us be a light unto the world in word, song, and deed.
