Everyone Is A Servant

Thursday, January 12th, 2017

FATHER spoke in Deuteronomy chapter 30:

15 “See, I have set before you today life and good, death and evil,

16 in that I command you today to love the LORD your God, to walk in His ways, and to keep His commandments, His statutes, and His judgments, that you may live and multiply; and the LORD your God will bless you in the land which you go to possess.

17 But if your heart turns away so that you do not hear, and are drawn away, and worship other gods and serve them,

18 I announce to you today that you shall surely perish; you shall not prolong your days in the land which you cross over the Jordan to go in and possess.

19 I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live;

20 that you may love the LORD your God, that you may obey His voice, and that you may cling to Him, for He is your life and the length of your days; and that you may dwell in the land which the LORD swore to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to give them.”

You are either going to be a servant of righteousness or unrighteousness… it is your choice which path you pursue.  A servant of righteousness is a privilege in that we are commissioned, instructed, and led by Our Heavenly Father Who created the universe.  When put in this light, why would anyone want to serve another master?  Those who are drawn away by their own lusts have effectively chosen to serve death rather than life.  Paul wrote by THE SPIRIT in Romans chapter 6:

16 Do you not know that to whom you present yourselves slaves to obey, you are that one’s slaves whom you obey, whether of sin leading to death, or of obedience leading to righteousness?

17 But God be thanked that though you were slaves of sin, yet you obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine to which you were delivered.

18 And having been set free from sin, you became slaves of righteousness.

19 I speak in human terms because of the weakness of your flesh. For just as you presented your members as slaves of uncleanness, and of lawlessness leading to more lawlessness, so now present your members as slaves of righteousness for holiness.

I thank FATHER for enabling me to be a slave of righteousness, freeing me from the law of sin and death.  I choose to obey the Author of righteousness knowing HE always has my best interest at heart.  As I face challenges I no longer have to deal with them alone but now have HIM and HIS Wisdom to guide me through those challenges and burdens in my life.  Without HIM I could easily be overwhelmed with the multitude of issues confronting all of us these days.  Having now lived longer than many who read this, I have the benefit of looking back at decades of HIM guiding me through the challenges of life.  At critical points in my life FATHER provided the Wisdom and understanding I needed to choose the right path for me and my family.

I have personally experienced miracles in my life which have protected me from harm, even unto death.  I am compelled to share the Gospel of Christ and the Love of FATHER with all who will listen.  Having been a slave to sin and then being redeemed unto Christ I can compare the two firsthand.  A slave of righteousness has all the benefits and fruitfulness we all seek.  The man who is troubled is in desperate need of peace.  The man who is sick is in desperate need of healing.  A man on his deathbed is no longer interested in his bank account but if he had only realized what was important before he arrived at death’s door!  Priorities are relative to our own situation.  We can either choose to face them alone or with FATHER as our guide.

Each of us constantly deal with issues of life which are temporary in nature.  Let us serve righteousness by walking in Love toward mankind.  Let not the burdens overshadow the blessings for the burdens are temporary and much lighter than those of the slaves of lawlessness.  As for me and my house, we will serve FATHER!

Kind, Tenderhearted, and Forgiving

Wednesday, January 11th, 2017

By THE SPIRIT Paul wrote in Ephesians chapter 4:

25 Therefore, putting away lying, Let each one of you speak truth with his neighbor,” for we are members of one another.

26 “Be angry, and do not sin”: do not let the sun go down on your wrath,

27 nor give place to the devil.

28 Let him who stole steal no longer, but rather let him labor, working with his hands what is good, that he may have something to give him who has need.

29 Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers.

30 And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.

31 Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice.

32 And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.

We are told to grieve not the Holy Spirit.  In order to do this we must not give place to the devil by our words and/or actions.  Be assured that people will attempt to incite behavior that requires us to be kind, tenderhearted, and forgiving.  We can expect to be used and abused because of our willingness to forgive others.  When someone steals from a righteous believer they are in  danger of judgment from FATHER and thus we must not become bitter toward the thief.  We may be called upon to expose the theft but we must not let bitterness enter in.  A thief is typically in lack to the point of being desperate.  If the person had the revelation of FATHER being his or her Provider then there would be no theft.

It’s not that we can’t be angry, we must not let that anger fester into bitterness, wrath, malice, or evil speaking.  We must trust in FATHER to rectify the situation on our behalf in HIS Wisdom, not ours.

Are you working so that you are able to give to him who has need?  Greed is such a subtle issue in people’s lives that it requires our frequent attention.  Do we see ourselves of being generous on a daily basis or are we simply attempting to meet “minimum requirements” of Kingdom giving?  How would you like FATHER to only focus on meeting your minimum requirements in all areas of your life?  Let us give with the Divine Intent of Love which is oriented toward abundance, not scarcity.  Let your giving be prophetic in that you are planting good seed now in order that you reap good fruit in the future.  In this manner we are all seen as “prophetic”.

In Matthew chapter 10, Jesus commissioned the twelve to go out. He spoke:

7 “And as you go, preach, saying, ‘The kingdom of heaven is at hand.’

8 Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give.

9 Provide neither gold nor silver nor copper in your money belts,

10 nor bag for your journey, nor two tunics, nor sandals, nor staffs; for a worker is worthy of his food.”

We are to be workers for the Kingdom and as we have received, we are to freely give as well.  Jesus set this expectation with the disciples and they were not disappointed in the results.  Paul instructed us in our walk so that we don’t grieve the Holy Spirit.  It never hurts to take an assessment to determine if we are walking accordingly.

Dealing With Burdens

Tuesday, January 10th, 2017

Everybody wants to be blessed but how many are willing to accept the burdens associated with being lifted up to a higher state?  Can FATHER trust you when the challenges come?  Are we willing to accept the burdens and have FATHER count on us with whatever is coming forth this year?

Enduring hardships is part of the straight and narrow path.  Early morning and late nights may be required as we walk out the blessings we seek.  Physical exhaustion is only temporary and a small price to pay for walking in the fullness of our individual callings.  In 2 Corinthians chapter 4 Paul wrote by THE SPIRIT:

7 But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us.

8 We are hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair;

9 persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed

Did FATHER know Paul could handle the pressure associated with the revelation of Jesus Christ and his calling to spread the Gospel throughout the known world?  Absolutely!  Paul understood the cost associated with the blessing.  We often want to be promoted to a higher level but can FATHER trust us to walk responsibly at the higher level?  Paul further wrote:

16 Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day.

17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory,

18 while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.

We must not lose heart when the burdens seem to outweigh the blessings at any particular time.  We must accept the burdens along with the blessings else FATHER would not have raised us up to our current level of responsibility.  We must trust FATHER in that HE knows our abilities AND our limitations.  HE would not allow us to rise beyond our capacity to deal with the burdens.  We must focus on HIM and not the current “light” afflictions.  Everyone gets excited about a promotion until the weight of the office is realized.  We casually read how Mary was favored by FATHER to birth HIS Son yet how many of us can comprehend the burden she endured when He was on the cross?

You can be sure that as we ascend to a higher Spiritual state there will be opposition.  Once Jesus was to begin His public ministry then immediately the adversary came to oppose Him.  David was opposed by King Saul.  The disciples were opposed by the church leadership.  There are examples throughout Scripture of opposition to those whom FATHER has raised up.

Proverbs 24:10  If you faint in the day of adversity, Your strength is small.

Let us be strong in our faith and know that FATHER will not allow any burden too great.  Let us each day proclaim “This is the day that THE LORD hath made, rejoice and be glad in it.”  FATHER will expand our ministry as we are willing to accept and deal with the burdens and opposition which will surely accompany such blessings.  People will ridicule and attack us as we walk according to FATHER’S Plan but do not let their spiteful words deter us from fulfilling FATHER’S Divine Intent for our lives.  HE will take care of and remove the opposition in whatever manner HE deems necessary.  Let not our enemies deter us from fulfilling our calling but instead walk out each day in Love and gratitude toward FATHER.

Do not be discouraged but persevere through the burdens and they will soon dissipate.  The burdens pale in comparison to the blessings!

Accept or Reject

Monday, January 9th, 2017

By THE SPIRIT Paul wrote in Romans chapter 3:

19 Now we know that whatever the Law says, it speaks to those who are under the Law, so that every mouth may be closed and all the world may become accountable to God;

20 because by the works of the Law no flesh will be justified in His sight; for through the Law comes the knowledge of sin.

By Love FATHER gave the Law in order that man would know the difference between sin and righteousness.  Enforcement of the Law would modify outward behavior but did not address the intent of men’s hearts.  The Law established accountability of all mankind.  It is important to know and understand the Law but isn’t more important to know and hear the Lawgiver?  If we know only the Law then when unique circumstances arise that are not specifically mentioned in the Law, there may be interpretation needed in order to determine right from wrong.  Man has developed a court system whereby judges deal with such issues.  Do the judges hear FATHER or are their opinions compromising the intent of the Law?

If the Law was given out of Love, then it must be interpreted by those who hear FATHER’S Voice and walk in Love in order to satisfy the intent of the Law.  Would you want anyone else hearing your case or dispute?  The current court system has generally departed from the Law.  Nowadays, the case is often determined by the qualifications and devices of the attorney rather than the truth of the matter.  In the end, the current legal system is accountable to FATHER and will receive its just reward.

Israel was given the Gospel but rejected it just as they were given the Law and rejected it as well as the Lawgiver.  Each and every day we have the opportunity and decision to accept or reject the walk of Christ in our lives.  None who read this can claim they have not had the opportunity to receive the Good News contained in the New Testament.  Never before has it been so accessible to so many.  Jesus very specifically told us the whole Law can be summed up in two commandments which Jesus spoke to a certain lawyer in Matthew chapter 22:

37 Jesus said to him, “ ‘You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’

38 This is the first and great commandment.

39 And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’

40 On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.”

In Mark chapter 12 Jesus included:

34 Now when Jesus saw that he answered wisely, He said to him, “You are not far from the kingdom of God.”

In Luke chapter 10 Jesus also added:

28 And He said to him, “You have answered rightly; do this and you will live.”

If you want to move toward the Kingdom of GOD and live then Jesus laid out the essence by which we should live our daily lives- walk in Love.  We can either accept this very simple and straightforward Truth or reject it.  There is no need to do some exhaustive study to come to such a conclusion for the Truth of the matter is in fact very simple.

In John chapter 5 Jesus spoke:

19 Then Jesus answered and said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father do; for whatever He does, the Son also does in like manner.

20 For the Father loves the Son, and shows Him all things that He Himself does; and He will show Him greater works than these, that you may marvel.

21 For as the Father raises the dead and gives life to them, even so the Son gives life to whom He will.

22 For the Father judges no one, but has committed all judgment to the Son,

23 that all should honor the Son just as they honor the Father. He who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent Him.

24 “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life.

25 Most assuredly, I say to you, the hour is coming, and now is, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God; and those who hear will live.

26 For as the Father has life in Himself, so He has granted the Son to have life in Himself”

Again in John Chapter 14 Jesus spoke:

12 “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.

13 And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

14 If you ask anything in My name, I will do it.”

If there are any passages that demand our attention these must be included.  I believe we have been held back by our own thinking and logic.  Men have attempted to put FATHER in a box, Our Lord Jesus Christ in a box, and our own understanding in the proverbial box.  During Jesus’ earthly ministry, the leaders of the church could not get out of that box even when the miracles performed by Jesus stared them in the face.  We must not allow ourselves to be kept in the “logic” box but instead press in beyond our own logic and fully accept what FATHER is showing us this day.

What are infallible proofs?  In Acts chapter 1 by THE SPIRIT we read:

1 The former account I made, O Theophilus, of all that Jesus began both to do and teach,

2 until the day in which He was taken up, after He through the Holy Spirit had given commandments to the apostles whom He had chosen,

3 to whom He also presented Himself alive after His suffering by many infallible proofs, being seen by them during forty days and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God.

An infallible proof is evidence with certainty.  Jesus’ ministry was confirmed and highlighted by Himself being raised from the dead.  This miracle was the final validation of all the Words He spoke concerning the Kingdom.  Until that point, many could claim He was a prophet like Elijah and Elisha who also performed miracles.  His resurrection was the critical point validating Him over all others who were sent by FATHER.  FATHER is still in the miracle working business today and we should remove ourselves from the box and allow HIS power to flow through us.  Jesus expects us to do greater works but do we hold the same expectation for ourselves?

Defending The Gospel

Saturday, January 7th, 2017

Paul wrote by THE SPIRIT in Galatians chapter 2:

5 But we did not yield in subjection to them for even an hour, so that the truth of the gospel would remain with you.

6 But from those who were of high reputation (what they were makes no difference to me; God shows no partiality)—well, those who were of reputation contributed nothing to me.

7 But on the contrary, seeing that I had been entrusted with the gospel to the uncircumcised (Gentiles), just as Peter had been to the circumcised (Jews).

Paul did not submit to pressure to  be politically correct.  He knew what his calling was and would not be under subjection “for even an hour” to those who wanted to control him and his message.  We must be willing to stand up for our beliefs as well.  Political systems are temporary in nature and they come and go with time but FATHER’S Divine Intent will be carried out even if the rocks have to cry out.  Love does not condone perversion and neither should we.  People have mistaken Love with the ooey gooey emotion promoted by man.  FATHER WHO IS the essence of Love also has a side of judgment when provoked.  Jesus Who only did what FATHER directed Him to do.  The Beloved Disciple recorded by THE SPIRIT in John chapter 2:

13 Now the Passover of the Jews was at hand, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem.

14 And He found in the temple those who sold oxen and sheep and doves, and the money changers doing business.

15 When He had made a whip of cords, He drove them all out of the temple, with the sheep and the oxen, and poured out the changers’ money and overturned the tables.

16 And He said to those who sold doves, “Take these things away! Do not make My Father’s house a house of merchandise!”

17 Then His disciples remembered that it was written, “Zeal for Your house has eaten Me up.”

Men attempted to pervert the intent of the Temple and those who were in charge had compromised themselves as well as those driven out.  At some point judgment becomes necessary as the period of mercy has ended.  The churches of the U.S. in particular have failed to promote unity among the brethren but instead have allowed the “sheep” to be dispersed and at risk to all the predators.

These days many of the predators are sitting in boardrooms fully insolated from the rule of law.  They have amassed purchasing power by concentrating funds and use a portion of the funds to buy political favors.  They hide behind laws they helped pass in order to keep the game going while the average person unknowingly supports their cause by using their products and/or services.  However, FATHER knows what is going on in the darkness of those rooms.

In the recent news there is much rhetoric about who “hacked” various computers and emails.  Most people are failing to realize that the key issue is the content of the emails which were hacked.  They reveal lawless acts against the citizenry of this country.  The perpetrators are not foreigners.  The authenticity of those emails have never been questioned.  The Truth is being exposed out of necessity yet the focus of the people in this country are redirected elsewhere.  I expect more revelations of Truth to be revealed in 2017 and for the light to expose those darkened boardrooms where nefarious intent prevails.

The perversion of Truth is coming to an end.  FATHER will hear the prayers of HIS saints and respond by cleansing the land… and the land needs cleansing.  By THE SPIRIT Isaiah wrote in chapter 5:

20 Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil;

Who put darkness for light, and light for darkness;

Who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!

Your and my responsibility is to pray in unity with the following passage at the forefront in 2 Chronicles chapter 7:

14 if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.

FATHER will respond:

15 Now My eyes will be open and My ears attentive to prayer made in this place.

John Winthrop wrote “A city on a hill” in 1630

The Truth has not changed nor have the principles to live by:

A Modell Hereof

God Almighty in his most holy and wise providence hath so disposed of the condition of mankind, as in all times some must be rich some poor, some high and eminent in power and dignity; others mean and in subjection.

The Reason hereof:

1st Reason.

First to hold conformity with the rest of His world, being delighted to show forth the glory of his wisdom in the variety and difference of the creatures, and the glory of His power in ordering all these differences for the preservation and good of the whole, and the glory of His greatness, that as it is the glory of princes to have many officers, so this great king will have many stewards, counting himself more honored in dispensing his gifts to man by man, than if he did it by his own immediate hands.

2nd Reason.

Secondly, that He might have the more occasion to manifest the work of his Spirit: first upon the wicked in moderating and restraining them, so that the rich and mighty should not eat up the poor, nor the poor and despised rise up against and shake off their yoke. Secondly, in the regenerate, in exercising His graces in them, as in the great ones, their love, mercy, gentleness, temperance etc., and in the poor and inferior sort, their faith, patience, obedience etc.

3rd Reason.

Thirdly, that every man might have need of others, and from hence they might be all knit more nearly together in the bonds of brotherly affection. From hence it appears plainly that no man is made more honorable than another or more wealthy etc., out of any particular and singular respect to himself, but for the glory of his Creator and the common good of the creature, Man. Therefore God still reserves the property of these gifts to Himself as Ezek. 16:17, He there calls wealth, His gold and His silver, and Prov. 3:9, He claims their service as His due, “Honor the Lord with thy riches,” etc. — All men being thus (by divine providence) ranked into two sorts, rich and poor; under the first are comprehended all such as are able to live comfortably by their own means duly improved; and all others are poor according to the former distribution….

Question: What rule must we observe and walk by in cause of community of peril?

Answer:

The same as before, but with more enlargement towards others and less respect towards ourselves and our own right. Hence it was that in the primitive Church they sold all, had all things in common, neither did any man say that which he possessed was his own. Likewise in their return out of the captivity, because the work was great for the restoring of the church and the danger of enemies was common to all, Nehemiah directs the Jews to liberality and readiness in remitting their debts to their brethren, and disposing liberally to such as wanted, and stand not upon their own dues which they might have demanded of them. Thus did some of our forefathers in times of persecution in England, and so did many of the faithful of other churches, whereof we keep an honorable remembrance of them; and it is to be observed that both in Scriptures and latter stories of the churches that such as have been most bountiful to the poor saints, especially in those extraordinary times and occasions, God hath left them highly commended to posterity…

Thus stands the cause between God and us. We are entered into covenant with Him for this work. We have taken out a commission. The Lord hath given us leave to draw our own articles. We have professed to enterprise these and those accounts, upon these and those ends. We have hereupon besought Him of favor and blessing. Now if the Lord shall please to hear us, and bring us in peace to the place we desire, then hath He ratified this covenant and sealed our commission, and will expect a strict performance of the articles contained in it; but if we shall neglect the observation of these articles which are the ends we have propounded, and, dissembling with our God, shall fall to embrace this present world and prosecute our carnal intentions, seeking great things for ourselves and our posterity, the Lord will surely break out in wrath against us, and be revenged of such a people, and make us know the price of the breach of such a covenant.

Now the only way to avoid this shipwreck, and to provide for our posterity, is to follow the counsel of Micah, to do justly, to love mercy, to walk humbly with our God. For this end, we must be knit together, in this work, as one man. We must entertain each other in brotherly affection. We must be willing to abridge ourselves of our superfluities, for the supply of others’ necessities. We must uphold a familiar commerce together in all meekness, gentleness, patience and liberality. We must delight in each other; make others’ conditions our own; rejoice together, mourn together, labor and suffer together, always having before our eyes our commission and community in the work, as members of the same body. So shall we keep the unity of the spirit in the bond of peace. The Lord will be our God, and delight to dwell among us, as His own people, and will command a blessing upon us in all our ways, so that we shall see much more of His wisdom, power, goodness and truth, than formerly we have been acquainted with. We shall find that the God of Israel is among us, when ten of us shall be able to resist a thousand of our enemies; when He shall make us a praise and glory that men shall say of succeeding plantations, “may the Lord make it like that of New England.” For we must consider that we shall be as a city upon a hill. The eyes of all people are upon us. So that if we shall deal falsely with our God in this work we have undertaken, and so cause Him to withdraw His present help from us, we shall be made a story and a by-word through the world. We shall open the mouths of enemies to speak evil of the ways of God, and all professors for God’s sake. We shall shame the faces of many of God’s worthy servants, and cause their prayers to be turned into curses upon us till we be consumed out of the good land whither we are going.

And to shut this discourse with that exhortation of Moses, that faithful servant of the Lord, in his last farewell to Israel, Deut. 30. “Beloved, there is now set before us life and death, good and evil,” in that we are commanded this day to love the Lord our God, and to love one another, to walk in his ways and to keep his Commandments and his ordinance and his laws, and the articles of our Covenant with Him, that we may live and be multiplied, and that the Lord our God may bless us in the land whither we go to possess it. But if our hearts shall turn away, so that we will not obey, but shall be seduced, and worship other Gods, our pleasure and profits, and serve them; it is propounded unto us this day, we shall surely perish out of the good land whither we pass over this vast sea to possess it.

Therefore let us choose life,

that we and our seed may live,

by obeying His voice and cleaving to Him,

for He is our life and our prosperity.

Unbroken Fellowship

Friday, January 6th, 2017

Love’s desire is for unbroken fellowship and FATHER has set a straight and narrow path to be found by all of us.  HE even illuminates the path by HIS Word.  We all know that the shortest distance between two points is a straight line yet many choose to take the long way around with much greater uncertainty.  By HIS Love residing in me I am compelled to invite all who are willing to join me on this path of joy.  The Beloved Disciple wrote in his 1st epistle chapter 1:

5 This is the message which we have heard from Him and declare to you, that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all.

6 If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth.

7 But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.

8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us.

A man living in broken fellowship is walking in darkness.  This man is not living according to the Truth of the Word.  Unlike other writings, this is why we must read and meditate on HIS Word daily.  When a man or woman writes a book it takes very little to embrace the essence of what they are attempting to convey to the reader.  However when the CREATOR of the universe gives us just one sentence, it can take a lifetime to embrace HIS full Divine Intent.  HIS Divine Intent is in us from the moment of conception and thus we have always maintained a link to HIM no matter what our condition.  The life force in us originates with HIM.  By THE SPIRIT Paul wrote in Ephesians chapter 2:

10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.

How exciting it is that FATHER ordained us for good works!  Where do we stand in fulfilling those good works?  Who better to guide you and me through life that OUR CREATOR in full, unbroken fellowship!  If you want to become an expert in a vocation, you study under an existing expert.  Their expertise is transferred to you in order that you can rise to their level for their goal is not to leave you in the same state you were in before your training began.  Elisha was Elijah’s protégé and he was determined to stay close to his master and take over when his master had completed his mission.  He was rewarded with a double anointing.  Don’t you think FATHER wants us to excel in the same manner?  In order to do that we must stay close to HIM in all manner.  In John chapter 10 Jesus spoke:

25 Jesus answered them, “I told you, and you do not believe. The works that I do in My Father’s name, they bear witness of Me.

26 But you do not believe, because you are not of My sheep, as I said to you.

27 My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.

28 And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand.

29 My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father’s hand.

30 I and My Father are one.”

Jesus had a constant, enduring fellowship with FATHER.  We too should expect nothing less for Jesus declared we would do greater works thus we should expect the same relationship with FATHER as our Elder Brother.  Let us walk toward the light and leave the darkness in the past where it no longer exists in our lives.

We Now Have Divine Nature

Thursday, January 5th, 2017

Righteousness is the ability to stand in FATHER’S presence without the sense of guilt, sin, or inferiority.  If FATHER recreated us, we are not under bondage to the old man.  By THE SPIRIT Peter wrote in the second epistle chapter 1:

4  by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

Are we willing to accept this simple yet encompassing Truth?  Our Christian faith is based on this reality yet most of us have only partially accepted and fully embraced this reality.  One would say “I want to accept this Truth, but how do I fully embrace it?”.  We only have to look around at how the world creates followers of their doctrines and beliefs.  They continually plant seeds for the crop they wish to reap.  Football fans participate in games, track their teams, and buy paraphernalia which express their loyalty to their team.  They immerse themselves into the support and tracking of the team they follow.  They fully identify with that team and do not hesitate to make it known to others.

Do we express ourselves in word and deed which represent our Divine nature or are we “secret agents”?  Are we more concerned about what others think or are we more concerned about what FATHER sees?  By THE SPIRIT Paul wrote in Romans chapter 8:

2  For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.

We must be as free from sin as Adam was before he committed sin.  He walked with FATHER and fully communicated with FATHER.  Shouldn’t we expect the same?  Whey do we care what men think who are walking around as whitewashed tombs?  In Matthew 23, Jesus spoke of those who were esteemed of the people:

27 “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like whitewashed tombs which indeed appear beautiful outwardly, but inside are full of dead men’s bones and all uncleanness.

28 Even so you also outwardly appear righteous to men, but inside you are full of hypocrisy and lawlessness.”

Was Adam ever sick before the fall?  Was Jesus ever sick before He took on the sin of the world?  Each of us has an immune system which is designed to protect us and keep us healthy.  Is it FATHER’S perfect Will for us to live without sin, sickness, or any affliction?  HE would not have sent HIS Son to the cross for a partial victory over the fall of man.  We know HE is willing so we know the problem lies somewhere with us.  Some would have us believe that we must wait until some date in the future to receive our Divine nature yet Peter proclaimed “by His stripes we were healed”.  Paul explains the battle internal to each of us.  Which nature are we empowering by our choices?  Isn’t that the real question to be answered?

How do I empower my Divine nature?  The answer is so simple yet its application is a great challenge which requires commitment to carry out our choice.  FATHER gave us the law of seedtime and harvest and this law applies in all areas of our life.  We reap what we sow.  As believers we have Divine nature in us yet if we never feed ourselves in this area, how are we to become strong and minister to others?  We must walk in faith on a daily basis that we will manifest the full expression of the Divine nature in us.  In Hebrews chapter 11, it is written by THE SPIRIT:

5 By faith Enoch was taken away so that he did not see death, “and was not found, because God had taken him”; for before he was taken he had this testimony, that he pleased God.

6 But without faith it is impossible to please Him,for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

Faith comes by hearing, dwelling, meditating, and acting on The Word.  Faith pleases FATHER for HE know that as we walk in faith we become greater expressions of mature Sons.  As mature Sons, we will spread the Kingdom of HIS Dear Son and bring Heaven to earth.  We are then truly known as Overcomers by the manifested works in Christ.  Let us embrace the reality that we now have the Divine Nature residing in us.  Let us become HIS full expression as a light unto the world.  Paul summed it up in Romans chapter 5:

17 For if by the one man’s offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.

The Transition

Wednesday, January 4th, 2017

I believe it is critical that the reader seriously ponder this message.  It contains a key that must be used to unlock our overcoming walk with Christ.  As a man thinks in his heart, so is he.

There are many categories of “three”.  There is FATHER, Son, and Holy Spirit; the three feasts- Passover, Pentecost, and Tabernacles; three harvests: barley, wheat, and grape.  Let us focus on the personal level of living according to the flesh, mind, or spirit.  Those living according to the flesh and/or mind expect to die whereas those who live according to the spirit expect to live for they know Jesus has overcome death.  I Hebrews chapter 2 it is written by THE SPIRIT:

14 Inasmuch then as the children have partaken of flesh and blood, He Himself likewise shared in the same, that through death He might destroy him who had the power of death, that is, the devil,

15 and release those who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.

As we make the transition to walking in THE SPIRIT we no longer fear death for we know life is eternal and physical death is simply a transition itself.  There are those who will not experience death for they will receive glorified bodies.  Enoch was a precursor to this reality.  Jesus who did not live according to the flesh or mind willingly lowered Himself and took on the sin of the world that He would conquer and defeat death once and for all.  In Revelation chapter 1 Jesus spoke:

18  “I am He who lives, and was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore. Amen. And I have the keys of Hades and of Death.”

By THE SPIRIT Paul wrote of Jesus’ victory over principalities and powers in Colossians chapter 2:

15 Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it.

Paul understood the need to make the transition from being sin conscious to being Spirit conscious.  In Philippians chapter 3 Paul clearly stated that once the transition to being led by THE SPIRIT was revealed to him, he no longer had any confidence in the flesh:

3 For we are the circumcision, who worship God in the Spirit, rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh,

4 though I also might have confidence in the flesh. If anyone else thinks he may have confidence in the flesh, I more so…

Until he met Jesus, Paul had his own course of life planned out according to the traditions of man.  Paul excelled in every aspect of this vocation only to find that it was rubbish.  Thankfully, he quickly jettisoned his past and embraced the revelation of walking by THE SPIRIT in Love.  No matter what path we take we will submit ourselves as slaves… either sin or righteousness.  By THE SPIRIT Paul wrote in Romans chapter 6:

15 What then? Shall we sin because we are not under law but under grace? Certainly not!

Each of us has a choice to live according to the flesh (and death) or according to THE SPIRIT (and life).  In order to receive the benefits set aside by FATHER, we must fully accept the deliverance by Christ on our behalf.  He died for our sins and sicknesses two thousand years ago.  This act of unconditional Love is greater than any sin we have committed.  It is greater than the multitude of sins we have collectively committed.  We need to get over ourselves and accept His supreme sacrifice and be freed from the sin consciousness perpetuated by the flesh and the logic of the mind.

We must be freed from sin consciousness and transition into being led by THE SPIRIT.  We must believe the Truth which had been a mystery but since has been made known to us.  What is the point of revelation without walking in it?  Paul speaks of this mystery in Ephesians chapter 1:

7 In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace

8 which He made to abound toward us in all wisdom and prudence,

9 having made known to us the mystery of His will, according to His good pleasure which He purposed in Himself,

10 that in the dispensation of the fullness of the times He might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven and which are on earth—in Him.

In 2 Corinthians chapter 5 Paul writes by THE SPIRIT and expressly points out the reality that we are a new creation:

17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.

WE MUST ACCEPT THIS REALITY and no longer accept the enslavement of the old man.  We are not under bondage to the old creation even though our flesh and our mind would attempt to deceive us into thinking otherwise.  We must renew our mind and put our flesh into subjection instead of subjecting ourselves to the flesh.  Let us no longer be as children tossed to and fro with divisive doctrines designed to enslave our minds.  We must embrace the reality that we are a new creation in order for us to maximize our service to mankind.  Peter wrote by THE SPIRIT in his 2nd Epistle chapter 1:

2 Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord,

3 as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue,

4 by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

Many are waiting for an external transition to occur and thus continually look for signs of the coming transition.  Why wait for transition when we have the mystery revealed that we can be partakers of the Divine Nature now?  Our focus has been directed to the outward when it really needs to be focused inward where the Kingdom resides.  As Paul stated in Romans 8 “There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.”  If we were not able to make the transition, there would be no encouragement or expectation in Scripture to do so.
