Expected Shift in Healthcare: Part 4 (Infrastructure Resistance)

Thursday, October 22nd, 2009

The next aspect of the expected shift is the resistance to change by the current infrastructure.  My health insurance company sent out a notice of premium increase as of November 1st.  So much for negative inflation.  When was the last time you received a notice that your premium was being reduced?  Remember ten years ago when hospitals were losing money yet were in massive building programs?

Below is a chart of the largest pharmaceutical companies:

CropperCapture[59]

Do you think these companies are going to tolerate a change in the healthcare paradigm?  With $400-500 Billion of revenue at stake among these companies, will they graciously agree that society should pursue another path toward healing and healthcare?  Hospital, physician, and medical support revenues would all suffer if healthcare moves toward a “healing” methodology versus the current symptom treating methods.  How did the men and women of the Old Testament times survive without their prescriptions?  Could those 70,000 man-made chemicals roaming around the earth have something to do with the current healthcare paradigm?  I wonder what it would be like to have a monthly premium of $100 again?

About 4 miles north of our house is the “American Cancer Society” facility.  If a cure for cancer is found and widely accepted, would we need them anymore?  It looks like they are not planning to close down anytime soon.

There are two viable ways for the shift in healthcare to occur:

1.  Our Heavenly Father brings an economic upheaval that forces the current system to fail and at the same time, HE brings forth a Kingdom based alternative.

2. New technologies and methods are developed and deployed in lesser developed countries that are not influenced by the western medical infrastructure.

A charitable organization who loves mankind and wants to improve global healthcare would most likely pursue #2 until #1 arrives.

Should the Christian focus on physical healing?

Wednesday, October 21st, 2009

Jesus had a healing ministry.  His ministry of healing was conducted prior to His Crucifixion.  In Matthew 10, He directs His disciples to heal the sick.  All of this was prior to the Day of Pentecost in Acts chapter 2.  This is a clear example of the importance of understanding the spiritual side of healing.  I would call this healing ministry the “top down” method.  If you deal with the spiritual side, the body will respond.

This is what I call a Healer:

Expected Shift in Healthcare: Part 3 (The Shift to Reality)

Sunday, October 18th, 2009

“The body is designed to heal itself” and “The body is designed to live forever”.  Those two statements of reality must become the foundation of medical pursuit.  In the Garden of Eden there was no reported death or decay but life everlasting.  Once Adam and Eve were removed from the Garden (and its revelation) their bodies began to die.  It took generations for mankind to settle down to the 70 year to 120 year range of physical life.  Nowadays, we all marvel at anyone who lives to be 100 years of age.  In the U.S. life expectancy is currently in the 70’s for both men and women.  In recent years there has been much attention focused on the “Blue Zones” where people tend to live longer.  Researchers are looking for the silver bullet of health in order to package it and sell it to the Baby Boomer Generation.  Those Blue Zones surely do not have the healthcare infrastructure of the U.S. and that actually may be one reason they live longer.  Another reason may be that they don’t have the chemical exposure we here in this country.  Thirdly, they seem to live a simpler life.

In recent decades, the medical schools have shifted toward the “pharma” method of treating symptoms and hoping to achieve a cure on a chemical based solution.  Have you noticed how many pharmacies have sprung up on every corner in the city?  Have you noticed how many drug advertisements there are on television?  Have you noticed how the drug companies are suggesting that you tell your doctor you are interested in their product?  This drug based mentality has become entrenched in our culture.

A primary issue of the current paradigm is one of “focus”.  The body is designed to be in equilibrium and a study of cellular structure brings out this point clearly.  See: http://library.thinkquest.org/12413/structures.html  When the body chemistry is in balance, all is well.  However when the equilibrium is adversely affected, trouble arises.  The body has a synchronous nature.  My definition of Synchronicity: the experience of two or more events which appear unrelated but occurring together in a meaningful manner.  The universe is working in a synchronous manner.  Even though the thousands of galaxies appear to be independent of each other, they are all connected by the Spirit of GOD.  Time and distance are no issue in the spiritual realm.  The medical community has lost focus of the synchronous manner in which the body functions.  The body’s electrical system utilizes “pathways” to communicate the status of equilibrium of all aspects of the body, everything is interconnected.  There has been this “isolationist” view of medical practice that has permeated the thinking of the medical community.

For years my dentist would warn me of the consequences of poor dental health during my periodic visits.  She told me that if I didn’t improve my brushing, I would lose my teeth due to my gums receding.  A few years ago, I sat in a presentation where the presenter explained the impact of metal amalgams on the body with a specific focus on cancer.  My mouth was loaded with metal.  I went back to my dentist and explained that I wanted the metal removed from my mouth and why.  Her reply was “Your fillings do not affect the rest of your body and the non-metallic fillings are not reliable”.  I switched dentists.  My new dentist removed the metal and immediately my gums began to heal.  In addition, a nagging irritation in my cervical vertebrae was gone.  Dentistry has assumed that their activities had little or no effect on the rest of the body.  Wrong!  Once they introduce a new “interference” of metal in the body, equilibrium is disturbed and functions are affected.  By the way, the dentist treated that metal being removed as hazardous waste once it left my mouth.  That’s scary!

Government acceptable studies of pharmaceutical trials are flawed.  Lack of consideration of a person’s specific “toxic imprint” could have a dramatic impact in the test results.  Statistical results do not provide comfort to the family of a loved one who died from a side effect of an approved drug.  Everyone knows that we can make statistics prove any position or outcome we desire.  9 out of 10 people may not suffer side effects including death, but who is to say you’re not that “1”.  “Bam, said the Lady!”

Specialization has moved the focus away from treating the whole body.  In the past, Orthopaedic surgeons often prescribed excessive Lori-tab or other strong pain medications without regard to one’s tendency to become “hooked” on pain medication.  Some people have a proclivity to chemical dependency.  The surgeon’s primary concern is to fix the shoulder and get paid.  What happens to the soon-to-be chemical dependent patient is someone else’s problem.  His prescription may be the beginning of a multi-decade disaster of drug addiction for the patient and his or her family.

Specialization looks for a prime cause of an illness. The problem is that there may be more than just one cause to an illness.  The human body is very complex and maintains an equilibrium that rivals any other complex system you could imagine.  A person could easily have a couple hundred toxic chemicals or their residual “wave forms” residing in their body when a new toxin, bacteria, or virus invades the body.  The new invader could simply be the “trigger” to start the formation of cancer.  The immune system reaches a point where it is overtaken and can no longer manage the additional levels of adverse agents in the body.

Have you ever noticed how babies and infants have a somewhat restricted diet yet grow and maintain healthy bodies?  Their bodies have not yet had the influx of external “invaders” that bog down their immune system. Their creation of nutritional building blocks works very effectively.  As we grow older and with our continuous exposure to environmental adversity, the body’s immune system has to work overtime to deal with these factors.  Add to this fact that we all want to enjoy air conditioning which reduces the amount of time we perspire.  Perspiration is a primary method of disposing of toxins.  Hmmm!  I wonder if this could be a reason more children are being diagnosed with adult illnesses.  So much for video games being used as a “baby sitter”.

In man, the spirit, soul, and body are all connected.  Therefore, the physiology of man is impacted by his constitutional state.  If you are under extreme mental stress, your body will respond and be more susceptible to illness.  If you have bitterness in your heart, your immune system will be impacted.  That bitterness may be the underlying reason your body will not respond to cancer treatment and until you remove the bitterness, the cancer will spread.  The medical community has disregarded the spiritual aspect of human physiology.  No one is acknowledging the elephant in the room.  To treat the body disregarding the spiritual and/or mental state is simply a disservice to the patient.  Even though it is currently not politically correct, for the practice of medicine to move forward with true and sustained healing, physicians must consider all influences to the physiology of the body.  Once they acknowledge that truth, they will become “healers”.

Remember, 99% of the universe is invisible; only 1% is visible.

Expected Shift in Healthcare: Part 2 (Suppression Medicine)

Thursday, October 15th, 2009

Suppression Medicine centers around the concept of pain relief, removal of a problem, and/or arresting the growth of a sickness or disease.  The one thing that it does not focus on is the cause of the disease or sickness.  In this paradigm, doctors are classified as “Treaters” for they simply treat the symptoms.  In the late 1990’s my wife began to have pain in her joints and her skin became extremely sensitive.  She went to her local physician and he diagnosed her as having Fibromyalgia. Fibromyalgia is a common condition characterized by long-term, body-wide pain and tender points in joints, muscles, tendons, and other soft tissues. Fibromyalgia has also been linked to fatigue, morning stiffness, sleep problems, headaches, numbness in hands and feet, depression, and anxiety.  This doctor claimed to be a Fibromyalgia expert.  He said that there was no known cure but there were medications to “manage” the pain.  He prescribed 3 different pharmaceuticals, all having substantial side effects.  Her body began to respond to the drugs in an adverse way.  Yes, the pain and sensitivity decreased but her memory, eyes, and overall well being suffered.  The monthly pharmacy bill exceeded $400 and was paid by our health insurance.  Naturally, our insurance premium cost went up.

In 2000, we attended a seminar for health supplements at the urging of a friend of mine.  He had signed up as a distributor and believe in the benefits of the product.  The company brought in a physician & consultant, Dr. Lee Cowden of Dallas.  As I recall, he shared his understanding of “alternative” medicine and its applicability to illnesses.  When he was in medical school, he developed an illness that had no solutions based upon current medical understanding (orthodox medicine).  He made inquiries of his instructors and found there to be no treatment available.  Finally, he mentioned his ailment to his grandmother and she suggested a homeopathic alternative.  It worked!  This opened his eyes to homeopathic remedies.  At a break in the session, my wife and I introduced ourselves to him and explained her illness.  He said casually, “You have toxins in the joints and they can be removed with higher amounts of Vitamin C and other antioxidants”.  The supplement we were hearing about also had excellent detoxification properties.  We signed up to receive the supplement.  She went back to the doctor and told him she wanted off of the medications.  He argued with her and tried to convince her that her condition would worsen.  She scheduled another visit and this time I went with her.  I told the doctor to wean her off the medicine.  His reply was “Don’t you want her to have an acceptable quality of life?”  My reply was “Yes, so get her off the medicine.”  I upset the doctor but he prescribed the reduced dosages to wean her off.  Isn’t it a little scary to have to be weaned off of any medicine that is suppose to help you?  In a short period of time, she was totally off of her medicine.  At the same time she was taking the supplement with additional vitamin C.  Her joint pain and tissue sensitivity ceased.  So did the $400 per month pharmacy bill.

Have you noticed that Fibromyalgia is a recent ailment?  Why?  Could it be due to the 70,000 chemicals that the population is potentially being exposed to now?  Fifty years ago there was no wide spread use of chemicals but that has changed.  If you walk barefooted in your yard that has been treated for weed control, you now have absorbed some toxins.  What about those carpets you walk on?  Remember the new carpet smell?  That is the out-gassing of chemicals used in carpet dyeing.  What about paint thinner?  What about insect repellant?  The list goes on.  Each of us has our own unique “toxin exposure” history.  How can a doctor produce a quality diagnosis without knowing what you have been exposed to?  He can’t.  The medical and pharmaceutical community has found it expedient and highly profitable to treat symptoms.  An aspirin may control the inflammation occurring in your head, but what caused the inflammation to begin with?

Where are the Healers?

Expected Shift in Healthcare: Part 1

Tuesday, October 13th, 2009

For the last 70+ years the healthcare industry has based its treatment on the petrochemical based paradigm.  The pharmaceutical industry has embraced products that treat symptoms rather than focus on the source of the problem.  For instance, chemotherapy is designed to kill cancer cells in the patient but does not address what caused a change in function of those cells in the first place.  It is critical that we understand the following truth- a change in function precedes a change in structure.  With improvements in technology, the scientific community has discovered the extreme complexity of a single cell in our bodies.  The Genome Mapping Project failed to provide the answers researchers were hoping for thus the Epigenome Mapping Project ensued.

A chromosome (our genetic material) is made up of genes.  Genes account for hair color, eye color, and all those other characteristics supplied by our parents.  However, scientists have discovered that something is going on between the genes that effect their activities.  They continue to drill down deeper into the cellular structure hoping to find a precise “key” that will unlock the mysteries of health and disease.  It is my expectation that they will discover the impact of wave forms and will conclude that the pharmaceutical method of treatment has been a great failed experiment that has cost millions of lives and maimed a like number.  Administering a pharmaceutical is an attempt to only “suppress” symptoms but at the same time introduces a toxic side effect that may cause unintended consequences to the patient.  Every person on earth is unique in their genetic structure and exposure to chemicals, vapors, bacteria, viruses, allergens, etc.  Drug companies cannot conclusively determine the petrochemical impact on any one person since they are not privy to that person’s life history.  When they conduct their “double-blind” studies, they use statistical assumptions that fail to guarantee the safety of the patient.  This is why you see all of the contradictions listed on the warning labels.

What is the solution?  There must be a method of identifying interferences within the cellular structure.  Surely the body has some mechanism for dealing with these sub-cellular “triggers” that cause the cell to function improperly.  I believe there is.  Homeopathic remedies were used prior to the petrochemical paradigm.  Those remedies had reasonable success in dealing with many illnesses and chronic conditions.  They still did not produce the results medical practitioners had hope for.  The complexity of our bodies demands a technology that can focus on multiple interferences residing in various parts of our bodies.  Unfortunately each of us has an abundance of “interferences” in our bodies.  How many chemicals has the average person been exposed to?  Gasoline, cement, auto exhaust, cleaning chemicals, mercury from those old thermometers and tooth fillings, chlorine in pools, the list goes on.  What about bacteria, viruses, allergens, fungi, and other external stimuli?  Even though our bodies may remove a toxic chemical through the liver, its wave form (or imprint) may continue to reside inside the cell structure and produce a negative impact on its function.  Once the function changes, the structure changes.  Cancer starts growing or our heart begins to develop an arrhythmia.  That chemical trigger caused a misfiring of heart muscle.

We rely on electrocardiograms to provide us invaluable information in analyzing the heart’s irregularity by tapping into the body’s own electrical system.  The sun generates electromagnetic waves that react with the human body where a chemical reaction takes place and produces vitamin D.  The body has a rather complex electrical system that operates in low voltage and is very effective in sending information down the pathways.  What if we could tap into those pathways and analyze the information being transmitted by the various bio-systems such as the liver, heart, intestine, lymphatic, etc.?

Good news!  Those pathways are accessible because they come close to the skin at specific, identifiable points.  Over thousands of years, the Chinese mapped out the points and developed the discipline of acupuncture.  In the last 40 years, researchers have been able to confirm these points by comparing known electromagnetic signals with those found at specific “meridians”.

What if we could find the source of the cancer “trigger”?  What if we could find the “interference” causing an irregular heartbeat?  By removing the toxic influence at a specific focus point, it is reasonable for us to expect a favorable outcome.  Removal of a toxin does not heal the patient, the body is designed to heal itself.  If you remove a splinter from your finger with a pair of tweezers, the wound begins to heal.  The tweezers did not heal you, your body did once the splinter was removed.  Researchers and practitioners have technology available to them that can measure “interferences” at these meridian points and compare those signals against a table of known signals.  This information can be used to develop a method to cancel out those toxic signals and effectively remove them.  There are hundreds, maybe thousands of external stimuli found in the body of an average person.  Those signals have been acquired over the lifetime of that person.  Inside the egg and sperm are signals transmitted through the body water of the parents, grandparents, on up the family tree.  Though it may be hard to believe, your parents’ exposure to toxic, viral, and bacterial signals may have been passed to you at the moment of conception.

Reality favors no one.  It is the consistent, measurable, unbiased, and uniformly predictable nature of existence.  The job of science is to observe, experience, and report reality honestly.  Fundamental reality is available to everyone.  If the medical community really wants to solve the healthcare crisis rather than just make money at the expense of all, then we must pursue and fund the research that looks for “triggers” rather than just suppression of symptoms.

Christ and the Geological Periods

Christ and the Geological Periods

There are uncertainties associated in any discussion of geological periods. The most obvious uncertainty is that there were no observers during these geological periods to report their findings. Thus, the existence of geological periods cannot be validated by direct observation.

One way to determine if geological periods existed at all is by scientific reckoning that is based on information gathered after the fact. Science is based on an understanding of such observations. Unfortunately, we do not have all of the facts regarding creation and have to depend on a most likely theory of recorded observations to explain the sequence of events that took place in the creative process.

Another way to critically evaluate creation is by a study of the ancient Hebrew writings of Moses in Genesis Chapter 1 (בראשית פרק א -be.re.sheet per.ek alef) to see if there is compatibility between scientific reckoning and divine revelation. There is an advantage in having a proper understanding of these prophetic documents because the revelator, the creator, was there at the beginning providing details of the events that took place.

In his PhD dissertation on primordial element abundance, Ralph A. Alper, a physicist, laid the foundation for modern big bang nucleosynthysis calculations.

Light, as energy, is both a particle and a wave according to Einstein and Heisenberg.

Ref: Zeitschrift für Physik. 43 1927, S. 172–198.

Revelation teaches that God said “Let there be light (Gen 1:3).

Jesus said “I am the light of the world” (John 9:5). He is also the word of God.

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” (John 1:1)

The divine command: “Let there be light” put energy into the “void” (Gen 1:2) as a particle or quantum of energy. In effect, Christ was the initial quantum of particulate energy, the primordial element, upon which the foundation all space-time creation was made. It was the first pre-incarnate evidence of Christ in creation.

From a secular scientific perspective the primordial element was reckoned to be quark-gluon plasma during the first seconds of the big bang.

Quarks make up ‘hadrons’, particles which interact via the strong nuclear force. The most familiar representatives of the class are protons and neutrons of atomic nuclei. They are held together in threes by ‘force-carriers’ known as gluons. During the birth of the Universe in the big bang paradigm, quarks and gluons mingled freely and widely in the extremely dense plasma. Gribbin, John New Scientist 05 October 1991

There is, however, scientific observation that long periods of time and great distances existed during the development of the universe.

Some interpret Genesis Chapter 1, to mean that rapid development continued throughout the creative process saying that creation took place in a matter of days. A more careful study of the word “day” may reconcile some of these differences.

A Study of the Word: DAY

It is important to distinguish between bey.om , meaning an indefinite period of time and ha.yom, a definite 24 hour period. Be.yom, as an indefinite article, leaves open the possibility for creation to have developed over an extended period of time, such as, during the geological periods. The following verse is an example:

Gen 2: 4 KJV

These are the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they were created, in the day that the Lord God made the earth and the heavens.

Read from right to left.)

אֵלֶּה תֹולְדֹות הַשָּׁמַיִם וְהָאָרֶץ בְּהִבָּֽרְאָם בְּיֹום

be.hi.bar.am va.ha a.rets hash.sha.ma.yim to.le.dot Ele

when they were and the earth of the heavens generations These are

created

עֲשֹׂות יְהוָה אֱלֹהִים אֶרֶץ וְשָׁמָֽיִם׃

Ve.hash.sha.ma.yim e.rets elo.him Ya.weh a.sot be.yom

and the heavens the earth the Lord God made in a day

Word study

בְּ- Pronounced: bet as in better is a preposition: in, against, by, with.

בְּיֹום – be.yom:: a day-an indefinite period of time. It is not restricted to 24 hours.

הַיֹּום ha.yom: the day-a 24 hour time interval

הַ ha is the definite article “the” in Hebrew grammar. When placed in front of a word as a prefix it means the day. It refers to a 24 hour period of time.

Ref: Practico G.D. and Van Pelt M.V.,Basics of Biblical Hebrew-Grammar ,2nd ed Zondervan, Grand Rapids 2007, pg. 40, Section 5.2

Other important words are:

בְּהִבָּֽרְאָם be.hi.bram

Be.hi.bram means: when they were created

The heavens and the earth were created. They did not just happen. There was a divine command for each part of creation to come into existence. “…and God said”.

תֹולְדֹות To.le.dot, the course of history of creation or the events that followed the establishment of the heavens and the earth

Once the earth was created, further developments took place by divine command.

Other translations of this verse are:

Gen 2:4 NKJV

This is the history* of the heavens and the earth when they were created, in the day that the Lord God made the earth and the heavens

The following is my exegesis or critical interpretation of Gen 2:4:

“These are the events that followed the establishment of the heavens and the earth when they were created, in the periods of time when the Lord God made earth and heaven.”

Geological Periods

From a scientific perspective the universe developed over time and was divided into geological periods.

They are:

  • Hadaean
  • Archaean
  • Proterozoic
  • Paleozoic
  • Mesozoic
  • Cenozoic

Comparison of Geological Periods and Mosaic Revelations

Hadean Period

Geological

From 4.6 billion years ago at the formation earth, and ended roughly 3.8 billion years ago. It is the oldest of the periods.

No rocks were on the Earth except for meteorites that brought water to the earth in the form of ice.

The Solar System was forming.

Heavier elements were generated within stars by nuclear fusion of hydrogen.

Mosiac Revelation

Gen 1:3

And God said,

“Let there be light: and there was light.”

This was the big bang, primordial light at the beginning of creation.

Gen 1:14

And God said,

“Let there be lights in the firmament” the Galaxies

“Let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years” This refers to the formation of the Solar System of our galaxy

Archaean Period

Geologic Reckoning

From 3.8 to 2.5 billion years ago

There were no large continents until late in the Archean period.

The atmosphere was likely a reducing atmosphere of methane, ammonia, and other gases.

The Earth’s crust cooled enough that rocks and continental plates began to form. All life first appeared on Earth as bacteria, not necessarily requiring oxygen

Mosaic Revelation

Gen 1:6

Then God said,

"Let there be an expanse in the midst of the waters, and let it separate the waters from the waters."(NASB)

Gen 1:9

Then God said,

"Let the waters below the heavens be gathered into one place, and let the dry land appear"; and it was so.

The statement “and it was so” indicated that the process was completed after the command was given.

Proterozoic Period

Geological Reckoning

Began 2.5 billion years ago and ended 543 million years ago

Bacteria, archaeans and eukaryotic cells appeared as fossils before the first abundant complex life such as multicellular algae and the first animals

Stable continents first appeared and began to attach to each other.

Oxygen began to be built up in the atmosphere

Mosaic Revelation

Gen 1:6

And God said,

“Let there be a firmament (atmosphere) in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.”

Paleozoic Period

Geologic Reckoning

From 542 to 251 million years ago

Soft-shelled fossils, sophisticated reptiles, modern plants and insects appeared

Mosaic Revelation

Gen 1:11

And God said,

“Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth

Gen 1:20

And God said,

“Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven.”

Animal life flourished in the seas, on land and in the atmosphere.

Mesozoic Period

Geological Reckoning

From 251 million years ago

Fauna changed drastically from that which had been seen in the Paleozoic. Dinosaurs are dated to this period.

Mosaic revelation

Gen 1:21

“And God created great whales, and every living creature that moved, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good.”

Cenozoic Period

Geological Reckoning

From 65.5 million years ago to the present.

Age of mammals, flowering plants, modern insects, birds and teliost fish with bony skeleton, scales and fins

Mosaic Reckoning

Gen 1:24

And God said,

“Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind.”

Gen 1: 26

And God said,

Let us make man in our image, after our likeness.

The reason for writing about Christ and the Geological periods

The secular world is generally dismissive of Christ as a minor historical figure or as a moralist who has had a persistent following over the centuries, much like Buddha, or Mohammad, but one who has had little impact in the concrete affairs of man. In scientific circles He is usually considered to be an irrelevant quantity in their calculations.

When I wrote my book, An Electrodermal Analysis of Biological Conductance, I included a chapter entitled The Complex Human Biological System. In it I had a chart in which I tried to show a macro picture of existence. It looked like this:

Sovereign God

↑↓

Christ

↑↓

Created Realm

I intended to show that all of existence has to be in balance in order to be complete, but it could only be done through Christ. To many, the placement of Christ between God and the Created Realm must have seemed unusual if not downright inappropriate. Of course there are reasons for this bias but biases do not negate the reality that the person of Christ, as the foundation of all things created, must be included in the process of restoration of all things.

In this presentation I tried to show that Christ had, by best scientific reckoning, a pre-incarnate existence at the beginning of creation 4.6 billion years ago. As creator He spoke into existence all of the events that occurred in the subsequent geological periods. He is not a minor character of history. He is the foundation of history.

Isaiah saw “the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up and his train filled the temple”. (Isa 6:1). Christ was sitting on the throne of the Divine Court, cloaked with the robe of full authority as Chief High Priest of the Order of Melchisedech.

We must all be covered with His cloak of authority and this authority must fill our temple (our bodies) in order for our ministries to bring about complete restoration, including healing.

Christ and the Restoration of the Universe

In Gen 1:1, 2 Moses received a revelation that God created the heavens and the earth. In Gen 1:3 he received a further revelation about the make up of the universe.

Gen 1:2

And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

תהו tohu means formlessness of a primeval condition or earliest stage of the earth development

בהו wabohu means emptiness.

The hendiadys of without form and void is the grammatical use of two words having similar meanings but with the words separated by a conjunction, so as to emphasize the complexity or intensity of the relationship. Examples of hendiadys are “sound and fury” and “nice and warm”.

These words without form and void when used together suggest a state of potential existence of the earth which preceded actual space and time.

. בַּהֲכִינֹו שָׁמַיִם שָׁם אָנִי בְּחוּקֹו חוּג עַל־פְּנֵי תְהֹֽום׃ Prov 8:27,29

27When he prepared the heavens, I was there: when he set a compass upon the face of the depth …29when he appointed the foundations of the earth.

One interpretation of this proverb is that He was present when He made the formless part of the earth to become firm. (כון kuwn-means to make firm) with its core, inner and outer mantle and crust consisting of land masses and oceans in the form of a sphere ((חוג khüg) means sphere of the heavens). It was a time when the elements were formed by nucleosynthesis and a time when water was formed in the deep parts of the earth and atmosphere.

The spirit of God fluttered or hovered (רחף rakhaf) over this early stage of the earth’s development with tender love The universe, as we see it now, had a comparatively smooth distribution of matter until the time of the Big Bang. It was formless.

Dark matter filaments began to form first, providing underlying scaffolding for the subsequent development of stars and galaxies from the primeval formless matter (Vera Cooper Rubin 2000, UCLA)

Gen 1:4 “and God divided the light from the darkness”.

.

       Dark Matter                      Light Matter

Into it God sent light. “Let there be light” Gen 1:3.

The same revelation about light in the heavens was given to Moses in Gen 1:14 “And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven”. God made the stars and galaxies by Christ (Light) interacting with the dark formless precondition of creation.

Information from the Hubble Space Telescope

The beginning of space and time centered on Christ manifested in the luminous portion of the universe. Christ, as light, is the foundation of the universe in the same way as He is as the light of the world.

This primeval formlessness existed in a vast area of darkness (חשך khoshek – dark, secret place) composed of dark matter, dark energy and non-luminous matter according to current scientific theory. Things that we can see are but a small part of existing universe, only about 0.4% of the total.

clip_image005

United States Geological Survey of the composition of the universe

Vast darkness makes up 99.6% of the universe. Since it is created, it must be restored, too, and we don’t even know that much about it. The great size and complexity of the visible universe is astounding. How much more so those areas of darkness?

Since restoration includes all things, the magnitude of the restoration process is great! Christ created all things and will restore all things. We, as the completed body of Christ will participate in the restoration process with Him.

There will be a need for metamorphosis of our bodies to set us free from the constraints of space and time allowing us to venture into distant and unknown parts of the universe. In that regard, our bodies will be like the body that Christ had after His Resurrection.

John 14:3 “And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, [there] ye may be also”.

Christ and Creation

The experimental method has limits in documenting all of the factors involved in the creation of the universe. We simply do not have the tools or the understanding to measure everything that is involved. So we must rely on other ways to understand the creative process.

There are two sources of knowledge: experience and revelation.

Experience results in knowledge obtained by observing events in space-time. Human experience gives knowledge that comes from outside of the individual through the senses such as observing a beautiful sunrise or by feeling a warm breeze or experiencing an exciting sports event. Science is experience that is organized for the purpose of obtaining knowledge

Revelation is knowledge that that is perceived as coming from outside of oneself and is of human or divine origin. Human revelation may come from human reasoning as in that expounded in the world’s philosophies.

Much of divine revelation is knowledge communicated by God to inspired writers who canonized their revelation. Divine revelation may be given directly to any of us when we hear God’s voice.

By divine revelation certain characteristics of God can be known.

For example:

In Gen 1:1

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

Read from right to left

בְּרֵאשִׁית בָּרָא אֱלֹהִים אֵת הַשָּׁמַיִם וְאֵת הָאָֽרֶץ׃

earth and the heavens the divine ones made In the beginning

ha-eretz v-eth ha-shamiyim eth elohiym bara bereshiyth

It is evident that God (elohim-the divine ones) created (bara) the heavens (hashamiyim) and the earth (haeretz). Scholars of ancient Hebrew accepted the fact that God created the cosmos.

בָּרָא (bara) comes from the Qal Hebrew vowel stem in the active voice and means to create, always with God as subject. It is a theological term and is appropriate to the concept of creation by divine fiat. The term denotes the initiation of something new but does not necessarily require that creation was made from nothing, ex nihilo. This was the level of revelation given to Moses during the Passover Age.

There was a greater revelation regarding the creator given to the Apostle John at a later time, in the Age of Pentecost. It read as follows:

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. John 1:1

The same was in the beginning with God. John 1:2

All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being John 1:3 (NASB).

The term word is important because God spoke space and time into existence.

Paul, like John wrote of his revelation during the Pentecostal Age. Both attest that Jesus Christ was the creator of all things. This revealed knowledge to Paul is found in his following writings:

Eph 3:9 …the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ and

in Hbr 1:10 “you, lord, in the beginning laid the foundation of the earth, and the heavens are the works of your hands

The Law of the Double witness has been satisfied by John and Paul, so the matter has been established that Christ is the creator. What is the evidence that this is indeed the fact? Ultimately it is a matter of faith since no one was there to observe the process but there are certain statements in the revelations that agree with current scientific understanding.

And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. Gen 1:3

Read from right to left

וַיֹּאמֶר אֱלֹהִים יְהִי אֹור וַֽיְהִי־אֹֽור׃

owr hayah owr hayah ‘elohiym amar

light and there light let there the divine and uttered

was be ones

The consonants that make up the first hayah (he-yod-he-yod) is contracted to (yod-he-yod) because it is a Jussive conjugation expressing a mild command or a strong wish. This means that within the Godhead there was not only a desire to form light in the creation but an agreement to do so and indeed “there was light”.

The Jussive conjugation also expresses the relationship of the Father with the Son. There was a relationship of the Creator as being both a servant and a son. A servant being obedient to his master’s command and a son being in agreement with his father out of love. This love relationship existed even before space and time. It was ever present. It was God’s plan to create an imperfect cosmos, so He could perfect it Himself through Christ over time in love because, God is love 1 John 4:8

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life John 3:16.

Christ had to be the foundation of the universe because He alone could perfect creation and present it to His Father.

Creation will be complete when God is all in all.

Basics of Biblical Hebrew 2nd ed., G. Practico, and M. Van Pelt, Zondervan Publishers 2007, pg 133

Light

Light was uttered into existence. The word amar means to utter or to speak and caries with it a subvocal creative intent. In Genesis it is used 10 times in this regard. (SWOT 118) Theological Wordbook off the Old Testament

John records Jesus saying:

While I am in the world, I am the Light of the world.” John 9:5

ὅταν ἐν τῷ κόσμῳ ὦ φῶς εἰμι τοῦ κόσμου

Hotan en to kosmos o phos eimi tou kosmou

This, then, is the first evidence of Christ in a pre-incarnate form in the earth.

It was important for Christ to be present in creation from the beginning because the process of restoration leading to perfection had to start at the beginning through Him. From the beginning, God’s plan for creation was to reconcile all things through Himself in order to make them complete. This was to be done by faith, one of the elements of the restoration process.

“I have come as Light into the world, so that everyone who believes in Me will not remain in darkness. John 12:46

Light is electromagnetic radiation, particularly radiation of a wavelength that is visible to the human eye (about 400–700 nm), or perhaps 380–750 nm

In physics, the term light sometimes refers to electromagnetic radiation of any wavelength, whether visible or not.

Light exhibits properties of both waves and particles (photons). This property is referred to as wave–particle duality

So light in the created space time realm, can be understood a two levels:

· As a series of electromagnetic frequencies from the very lowest to the highest

· As a particle, a Quantum, as a foundational unit of creation

According to Richard Feynman, a quantum physicist, light behaves like a particle even though it has characteristics of a wave. For convention’s sake it was called a particle instead of a new word like a “wavicle”

Richard Feynman, QED: The Strange Theory of Light and Matter (1985), p. 15

Time

Oscillations take place over time, and are measured as cycles per second. Since light and time exist together, the creative process took time as revealed to Moses, so too the perfecting of creation is a continuing process that will take place over time.

Other Dimensions

According to Calabi-Yau string theory there are six dimensions other than length-width-height and time that cannot be measured by normal scales of sight. Other dimensions have been suggested.

Calabi, Eugenio (1954), “The space of Kähler metrics”, Proc. Internat. Congress Math. Amsterdam, pp. 206–207; Tian, Gang; Yau, Shing-Tung (1991), “Complete Kähler manifolds with zero Ricci curvature, II”, Invent. Math. 106 (1): 27–60

The smallest quantum that can be measured electromagnetically is the dipole, which is made of positive and negative charges. These particles oscillate to form a continuous wave that radiates.

The first quantum or particle in creation was Christ. He was spoken into creation by the Godhead, as a wave, and manifested himself as a particle of light. He is the light of the world that continually radiates between God and the created realm.

We should look for qualities that reflect the character of Christ in the yet to be defined, non-measurable dimensions of creation.

Healing an Issue of Blood

Mat 9:20-22 “… a woman who was diseased with an issue of blood for twelve years came up behind him and touched the edge of his cloak. She said to herself, if I only touch his cloak, I will be healed.” Jesus turned and saw her. “Take comfort, daughter,” he said, “your faith has healed you.” And the woman was healed from that moment.

Luke, a physician, goes into more clinical detail in the case.

Luke 8: 43-48 “And a woman was there who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years, but no one could heal her. She came up behind him and touched the edge of his cloak, and immediately her bleeding stopped. “Who touched me?” Jesus asked. When they all denied it, Peter said, “Master, the people are crowding and pressing against you.” But Jesus said, “Someone touched me; I know that power has gone out from me.” Then the woman, seeing that she could not go unnoticed, came trembling and fell at his feet. In the presence of all the people, she told why she had touched him and how she had been instantly healed. Then he said to her, “Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace.”

When Jesus saw her He was aware of her physical problem of uterine hemorrhage and He was also aware of her soul problem of mental anxiety. After all, she was bleeding for 12 years with no assurance from her physicians that she would ever be cured. Jesus also recognized the faith and her humility of her spirit. By telling her to go in peace, He comforted her in knowing that she was healed completely in body, soul and spirit and that she would no longer have to fear a recurrence of her abnormal uterine bleeding.

And when you pray,,,

Mat 6:5 “.And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by men. I tell you the truth; they have received their reward in full”.

Mat 6:6 “But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you”.

Notice there was no great theatric display by Jesus that a healing had taken place. Not even His disciples were aware of it. The woman prayed in silence But Jesus knew that power (δύναμις dynamis) had gone out from Him and the power went to a person.

Notice, also, that the woman never even touched Jesus, only His garment. Did the garment she touched have an intrinsic healing power? No. It was probably a woolen garment Jesus wore as a priest when ministering to people. Jesus was ministering under Mosaic Law and a woolen garments was required while ministering to the people. After the death of John the Baptist, Jesus became the high priest but He was not recognized as such by either the Sanhedrin or by the majority of the people. He was only recognized in his human form. His power as the Son of God was hidden by his human body. As a servant his glory was covered by a fleshy body. As Jehovah-Rophe, healing power radiated from his human body and was captured by his garment in such a way as to bring about a healing in the woman who touched it. We know that the healing power came from within him because He said He felt “the power go out”. Where did it go? It went into an area outside of Jesus’ body where the cloak was worn and into the woman’s body when she touched the garment. The space surrounding Jesus contained the same energetic power that came out from within Jesus’ body. It was a continuum of energy from within Jesus. It carried specific information that brought about healing and had specific direction… no one else was healed.

Jesus turned and saw her

In Greek (εἶδον eidon) means to see, perceive with the eyes or senses, experience any state or condition

When Jesus looked at the woman what did He see? What was it about her condition that was distinctly different than others who were crowding around him? What did He experience about her present state of being? What information did Jesus’ brain record that came through his eyes, and was transmitted neurologically to His visual cortex in the occipital lobe of his brain? Was there a signal coming from the woman’s body that Jesus could sense? Was there something about this woman that related to the Kingdom of God? After all Matthew generally presented Christ as King and the theme of his writing was about the Kingdom of God.

He saw a woman who had uterine bleeding on the physical level. On the emotional or soulish level, He saw that she was discouraged because of her chronic illness. On the spiritual level He saw her faith. He recognized that she had confidence that she could be healed by Him.

The act of seeing her was not a prerequisite by Jesus to heal because she came up from behind him. Even Jesus asked the question “Who touched me?” Actual healing occurred at the moment the garment was touched.

Jesus attributed her healing to her faith. In effect, Jesus was saying that the physiologic process of healing was affected by a discrete spiritual entity of faith; that the immeasurable spirit affected the measurable body. By being healed of uterine bleeding she demonstrated that this relationship held true.

Energy Within the Body

Energy exists in all living beings, both plants and animals. It has been known as chi in China, ki in Japan and prana in India.(Editors. Energy Conversion. Volume 18 ed. Chicago: Encyclopaedia Britannica, Inc., 1998; Hendrix ML. Encarta Encyclopedia Microsoft , 2000)

In traditional Chinese medicine internal energy, chi, flows in channels called meridians. (Kaptchuk T. The Web That Has No Weaver, NY: Congdon & Weed, Inc., 1983). Chi moves as an electric current in channels with specific velocity and direction. Electromagnetic energy in these channels is organized as codes of information that are conducted throughout the body and beyond. Subtle electromagnetic signals originate in the body, each with its own specific site of origin. For example, the uterus has an electromagnetic signal that originates in uterine tissue and is conducted to the skin where it can be detected on the bladder meridian, on the outside part of the foot. The lining of the uterus, the endometrium is detected on the meridian located on the inner part of the thigh. (Speckhart VJ An Electrodermal Analysis of Biological Conductance, 2002). For details of how to detect these signals see: Electrodermal screening.www.servias.org

In the created realm everything vibrates. The following diagram shows the progressively increasing frequencies of structures in biological specimens that are able to be detected by electronic instruments. There are other dimensions of structure yet to be discovered which cannot be measured directly at all. It is theorized that space time is not just 4 dimensional but 10 dimensional, the remaining 6 dimensions being too small to measure.

The following signals can be detected in animal subjects:

clip_image002

Source:V.Speckhart, (Electrodermal Analysis of Biological Conductance 2002)

This diagram shows that waves are derived from a variety of sources radiating throughout the body. These waves can be measured as oscillating (+) and (-) electrical charges that combine to make more complex waves such as subatomic particles, atoms, molecules, cells, tissues and organs. Each of these wave forms produce signals that produce low levels of energy or subtle energy. The energy radiates from discrete sites of origin in the body through discrete electromagnetic pathways to detection sites on the skin. Ancient literature described these energy pathways as meridians. Signals in the skin can be detected by electronic means. In the body, waves have a positive and negative charge. As a result of being closely packed, electrical charges interfere with each other. The net result is a wave that projects information from a specific site in the body to the surface of the skin and beyond.

Each electromagnetic code conveys information that affects every other electromagnetic code. This means that every electromagnetic signal in the body is continually affected by every other electromagnetic signal. As an example, your left ear is always electromagnetically aware of your right big toe. Every electromagnetic signals in space-time affects every other electromagnetic signal to some degree.

In the present case faith in Jesus Christ affected the uterus and was one of the essential elements needed for healing. Is this one of the 6 dimensions of creation yet to be recognized?

Light

When we use the term “light,” we are referring to types of electromagnetic waves which stimulates the retina of our eyes. Visible light consists of a spectrum of wavelengths which range from approximately 700 nanometers to approximately 400 nanometers. Expressed in more familiar units, the range of wavelengths extends from 7 x 10-7 meter to 4 x 10-7 meter. This narrow band of color consisted of red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet waves.

clip_image004

Electromagnetic fields surround plants and animals. These fields represent electromagnetic waves with a variety of frequencies. When the waves are in the visible spectrum they are perceived as color.

Color Vision

Color vision is the capacity to distinguish objects based on the wavelengths (or frequencies) of the light they reflect or emit.

Cone photoreceptors in the eye are sensitive to different portions of the visible spectrum. For humans, the visible spectrum ranges approximately from 380 to 740 nm. There are normally three types of cones according to their wavelength: short (S), medium (M), and long (L) cone types, also sometimes referred to as blue, green, and red cones. These are more active in daylight (Photopic). The other kinds of photoreceptor are rods which function at low levels light such as at night (scotopic). They are most sensitive to wavelengths near 555 nm. Between regions for rods and cones there is another region with both rod and cones (mesopic) that also sends signals to the retinal ganglion cells. Electromagentic waves from sources that emit or reflect light pass through the following structures: cornea> anterior chamber of the eye> lens>vitreous body>retina>retina ganglia>retinal nerve, crossing the midline>thalamus>optic radiations> visual cortex in the occipital lobe in the brain. Numerous hues of color can be distinguished by the brain.

clip_image006

Source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Retina

Healing must have occurred during the daylight hours since we are told that he “saw the woman”. Since cones operate in daylight, Jesus’ cones were most active and capable to respond to color

Auras

Subtle energy within the body produces color. Once in the space outside of the body, subtle radiations of energy no longer have a restricted to meridian pathways as when they are within the body. They now appear in the peripheral field of vision as electromagnetic fields of color called auras.

Auras produced by subtle energy radiations of the body should not to be confused with Photographic auras. Photographic Auras are computer generated images of electromagnetic aura fields that are color coordinated electronically by sensors on a screen. A camera generated photo image of a person is superimposed on the colored electronic aura image generated by the background screen. The amplified image of the electromagnetic field is an artificial representation of the natural, low energy electromagnetic aura. It is not the same as the natural aura that can be visualized by the unaided visual apparatus of the normal eye. Much information has been gained by the study the photography of electromagnetically amplified fields especially in bio feedback training for various emotional disorders.

Most people cannot see auras because they are not disciplined to do so, but there are individuals who can see auras naturally, some more so than others. Young children are especially adept at seeing auras. Even in ancient cultures some drawings depict auras surrounding some painted subjects.

Jesus, as creator of the universe, was in complete command of all of the laws in His creation including the biological laws relating to the interpretation of aura patterns and colors and could instantly recognize everything about one’s body, soul and spirit.

Attributes of the Overcomers

The Holy Spirit described the healing of this woman to Matthew in such a way so as to reveal a Kingdom characteristic of those who are of the first resurrection, those who have the character of the Pattern Son, Jesus Christ.

Those who rule during this age will judge in righteousness. They will be able to see things hidden and will be able to see truth and not be deceived by the deception of words or actions. They will be able to look at the total man and determine in his true state. He will not be able to hide anything.

When Jesus looked at Nathanael he saw from afar an aura of an Israelite in whom there was nothing false. When Jesus saw Nathanael approaching, he said of him, “Here is a true Israelite, in whom there is nothing false (no guile).” John 1:47. Without even talking to Nathanael, Jesus was able to determine Nathanael’s true character.

Those who are glorified in the Tabernacles Age will do even greater things.

I am Jehovah Who Heals

Jehovah-Rophe

I am Jehovah Who Heals

(Ex. 15:22-26)

The Name of God, Jehovah-Rophe (י יְהוָה רֹפְאֶֽךָ׃ סנִאֲ), is startling because it gets to the root of the problem of healing from God’s perspective. God revealed to Moses that He has sovereign authority over healing.

Deut 32: 39 “See now that I myself am He! There is no god besides me. I put to death and I bring to life, I have wounded and I will heal, and no one can deliver out of my hand”.

When Moses went up to Mount Sinai for the eighth time, he met God face to face and received a complete understanding of God’s Law, a revelation of His perfect character and will. As a result of this encounter Moses’ face glowed with the glory of God. This glory was so awesome that he had to wear a veil over his face so as not to frighten the people. Moses canonized these revelations in the Torah and Talmud. These documents defined the Laws, Statutes and Judgments of God and became the legal basis for the contract (Covenant) God had with the House of Israel and the House of Judah. As much as they tried, the House of Israel and the House of Judah could not uphold their contract with God because the lawlessness of Adam was passed on to them.

Man was created in the image of God.

Gen 1:26 Then God said, “Let Us make man in our image, according to our likeness”.

Initially, Adam acted with the righteousness of God in the created realm. He was given authority over the whole earth. In that sense Adam was the first king… but he was not a sovereign king. Adam was in agreement with God as much as he could be but he was limited by space and time.

Gen 1 :31 “God saw all that he had made, and it was very good” [מְאֹד (mehode) very, exceedingly; טֹוב (tobe)-good, bountiful, pleasant to the senses, prosperous for man’s sensuous nature, good for man’s intellectual nature].

God provided man (male and female) with an environment that was good for his soul nature, his intellect and his senses. In this peaceful environment God was able to tell Adam all that had to know about creation. He even told Adam how he could keep this relationship by being obedient to His voice. Adam’s human will had to be in continuous agreement with God’s will. He had to do what God told him. God knew that Adam would eventually fail because He knew the limitations that creation placed on Adam so He warned Adam:

Gen 2:17 “of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.”

God told Adam that he would have life as long as he was obedient to this law. God thereby established His primacy as the law giver over those who come under the law, that is, mankind. He would be gracious to Adam, (mankind) as long as they did not violate His law. If Adam ever tried to usurp God’s sovereignty, he would die. He would no longer be under grace but under the judgment of the law. The punishment for that was physical death. That is exactly what happened. Adam was deceived into thinking that he could be “as a god”. He disobeyed God’s Law, he usurped his authority and became mortal, that is he died. We, as descendents of Adam have inherited the liability for Adam’s debt (sin is a debt) and must also die. We are cursed with sickness which is an antecedent to death.

We too are lawless. We rebel at a need to depend on God. Because of our pride we do not trust Him and do not care to listen to His voice either personally or when it is given to kings, prophets, apostles or disciples. Instead we lean on our own understanding. God warned us through King Solomon not to do this.

Pro 3:5 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding”.

As a consequence of not obeying God’s voice, man has developed elaborate systems of law which promote their own understanding of God’s Law such as: the Laws of Hammurabi; the Tenach, a rabbinic interpretation of the law given to Moses; Roman law; the Justinian Code, a replacement by the church of Roman law into Church law. In addition many cultures have laws, as in: Hinduism, Buddhism, Confucionism, Shintoism, Animism and Islam to name a few. These are based on human interpretation or the “traditions of men” regarding the Law of God. In paganism laws are based entirely on human wisdom because of a denial that God has any influence in the affairs of men. Most scientists, including those in medicine, ignore the place of God in the laws that govern science. None the less, He is the creator of all of the laws that govern creation, including the laws of science.

And yet God stated His position in the Gospel of John.

John 1:1-4 “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made”.

Jesus Christ is the manifestation of God in the earth. Isa 12; 2 Jehovah has become my salvation (Yahshua in Hebrew; Iesous in Greek; Jesus in English).

As such, He is God’s lawgiver. Isa 33; 22 “the LORD is our lawgiver” and a mediator for us before God. John 16;23 “whatever you ask the Father in My name He will give you”.

He has legally redeemed the debt note (mortality) we carry because of the sin of Adam. Now we are able to be completely healed through Him.

Isa 53:5But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed”

These words to Isaiah pointed to the death work of Christ on the cross, a redemptive work that freed us from mortality caused by Adam’s lawlessness and opened to us the effects of the live work of Christ that will result complete restoration of our health in spirit, soul and body. Complete obedience to the Will and Laws of God and the corrective judgments of our lawlessness by God will bring us into complete agreement with Him. Even the laws of science will be brought into agreement with God’s will and will used in righteousness according to the purposes and plans that God has made for His creation.

This word spoken by God to Isaiah recognizes that Yeshua (Jesus), by His suffering and death made healing possible. To believe this is not even a consideration in most health care systems today. Many believe there is no place for this type of thinking in modern medicine. It is an offense to some because it is subjective and difficult to prove. Even if one had a favorable outcome, one could not prove that God did it. We have become “as gods” by denying God’s sovereignty over sickness and death. Yet the current system of health care has shown only a slight improvement in the survival, mostly due to improved sanitation and to a decrease of infectious diseases, but the death rate is still 100%.

As we move into the kingdom age, it is imperative that we repent, that is, change our way of thinking about the place God has in the process of healing.

Jesus said in Mark 1: 15 “The time has come,” he said. “The kingdom of God is near. Repent and believe the good news!”

Today we assume that we will be healed with a pill, a vaccine, gene therapy, surgery, nutrition or some future technologic advance. Even though these may be legitimate tools that lead to some healing, it is God who has ability to heal completely, not the physician or the technology. We must not ignore Him any longer! We must listen to His voice as he directs our medical understanding as to how we can be healers through Him.

In order to have complete healing there must reconciliation between the created and the Sovereign realm.

2Cor 5:17, 18 “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come! All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation”.

Much of our failure to heal is because of our inability to bring about reconciliation by our effort alone. Christ is the mediator between these two realms. He has given us the ministry of reconciliation through the power of the Holy Spirit.

John 6:44 “No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me, draw him”.

No, it is not “between God and me” that we can heal. Rather, it is “God through Christ that we may minister healing”. After His resurrection, He appeared before the heavenly throne proving that He was alive and had overcome death. He and those whom His Father draws were given authority over death and have power to overcome things that lead to death. The one who heals is therefore identified with the pattern Son, Jesus Christ. No unclean thing may come before God. Those who heal must not be unclean and those that are healed are to be made clean.

Deut 24: 14 “For the LORD your God walks in the midst of your camp, to deliver you and give your enemies over to you; therefore your camp shall be holy, that He may see no unclean thing among you…”.

Paul survived a venomous snake bite when he landed on Malta after his shipwreck. The local people thought he was a god because he did not die, so they asked him to see, the ailing father of governor Publius, who had fever and bloody diarrhea.

Acts 28; 8 “His (Publius) father was sick in bed, suffering from fever and dysentery. Paul went in to see him and, after prayer, placed his hands on him and healed him”.

Publius’ father had bloody diarrhea (δυσεντέριον dysenterion (bloody flux- KJV)

Just to put it in the context of our current medical understanding, Publius’ father most likely had colitis from one the following bacteria: E. coli O157:H7; Shigella; Salmonella species or Campylobacter.

The process of healing in this case demonstrated several factors worth noting:

Paul prayed to God as Jehovah Rophe

Faith on the part of Paul in knowing that he could be used to by God to heal

Faith on the part of those who saw Paul healed of the venomous snake bite. They judged him to be able to heal

Faith on the part of Publius to authorize to Paul’s healing intervention for his father

Faith on the Part of Publius’ father to allow Paul to try to heal him

Paul’s reconciliation of Jehova Rophe with Publius’ father through prayer

Contact with the patient by the laying on of hands. Paul was the human vehicle through which the healing took place.

The medical effect of this intervention resulted in: An “antibiotic” or killing effect of the organism involved e.g. E. coli, Shigella, Salmonella or Campylobacter.

A decrease of fever by regulating pyrogens, those elements in the body that produce fever.

Pyrogens are made internally by the white blood cells of the immune system or they are made externally by the cell walls of the bacteria that are being destroyed.

Pyrogens release biochemicals (prostaglandins) that stimulate a deep part of the brain (hypothalamus) to produce fever.

Neither Paul, nor do we, today, understand all of the mechanisms used in restoring Publius’s father to health, but Jehovah Rophe certainly did and He healed Publius’ father. After all, God is the creator and He knows everything about His creation

Gen 1: 1 “In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth”.

How then could this healing come about? We do not know because we do not understand all of the dimensions of creation or healing. They are hidden from our understanding at this time, they are not measurable. For this reason we must rely on faith in God for healing. When we are purified and become one with God then we will understand these dimensions. I believe that those who will return with Christ at His coming will help us in this understanding as well.

Romans 8: 22 “The creation waits in eager expectation for the sons of God to be revealed”.

This we do know in the case of Publius’ father. There was prayer to God (Jehovah Rophe) by Paul, faith in a divine healing by Publius and his father, and physical contact between the healer and the one who is healed. These are the essential features in this case. It was not necessary to know the biochemical or microbiologic causes of his sickness since the mechanism of healing was governed by the other factors of prayer, faith and contact. These factors played an essential part in removing the bacterial cause of Publius’ father’s infection and in eliminating his fever. In that way they had a higher priority in the healing process then just dealing with the fever and infection.

When God spoke to Paul in his letter to the church in Thessalonica he emphasized that our entire being consisted of spirit, soul and body

1 Th 5: 23 “May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ”.

The spirit of man is his innermost being. It is ruled by the Spirit of God or by unclean spirits. In this case, Paul was able to cleanse the spirit of Publius’ father through prayer so that Jehoveh Rophe could cleanse him from any uncleanness of his heart and be healed.

Prov 20: 27 “The spirit of a man is the lamp of the lord, searching all the inner depths of his heart”.

Publius’ father’s soul (נֶפֶשׁ nephesh), that living part of him with an intellect, will and emotion, was also healed by Paul’s intervention. This part of the healing is attested to by the faith that was exhibited and the resignation of the wills of Publius and his father.

Other than the laying on of hands, there is no evidence of Paul treating Publius’ father with medicine. So, treatment, as we practice it today, was not given. The physical contact between Paul and Publius’ father was essential because it indicated that Paul was anointed with a ministry of healing and was a vessel through whom the healing from Jehovah Rophe could flow.

Healing took place quickly after prayer and the placing on of hands. Normally it takes days to weeks to heal infections such as this. In this case he was healed immediately indicating there was a change in time of healing as well as a change in his spirit, soul and body. This was an awesome response, clearly outside of the ordinary. Because of it God was glorified.

It is understandable why there is skepticism about the role that Jehovah Rophe has in ordinary medical care of today. We are only under a Passover or Pentecostal anointing.

We have been deceived into believing that results of scientific studies, the “wisdom of men” are the sole key to healing and we have neglected the role of Jehovah Rophe.

Isa 29: 13 “The Lord says: “These people come near to me with their mouth and honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. Their worship of me is made up only of rules taught by men”.

As we emerge from the dim light of Pentecost and enter the brilliant light of Tabernacles, the preeminence of Jehovah Rophe will be revealed in bringing about complete healing of the nations.
