A Sensitive Heart

Thursday, July 28th, 2022

Life can be simple but it won’t be easy. It requires total commitment to THE LORD!

However, a complex life is guaranteed to be difficult and less rewarding.

Paul wrote by The Holy Spirit in Romans chapter 1:

18  For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness,

19 because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them.

20 For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse,

21   because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened (hardened).

If we want to make ourselves more sensitive to FATHER, Jesus, and The Holy Spirit, we must do the opposite of what causes men’s hearts to become hardened or darkened.  It is that simple!

We will glorify GOD because HE is worthy and valuable to our lives.

We will be thankful and remember what HE has done in our lives.

We will think on Spiritual things thus producing a positive imagination which precedes hope.  Hope precedes faith and faith precedes manifestation of FATHER’S Divine Intent in our lives.

As we do the above, our hearts will become sensitive to GOD rather than sensitive to what the world is promoting.

People with hardened hearts promote division, anger, and rage.

It is written by The Holy Spirit in Hebrews chapter 11:

8   Faith motivated Abraham to obey God’s call and leave the familiar to discover the territory he was destined to inherit from God. So he left with only a promise and without even knowing ahead of time where he was going, Abraham stepped out in faith.

9 He lived by faith as an immigrant in his promised land as though it belonged to someone else. He journeyed through the land living in tents with Isaac and Jacob who were persuaded that they were also co-heirs of the same promise.

10 His eyes of faith were set on the city with unshakable foundations, whose architect and builder is God Himself.

11 Sarah’s faith embraced the miracle power to conceive even though she was barren and was past the age of childbearing, for the authority of her faith rested in the One who made the promise, and she tapped into His faithfulness.

12 In fact, so many children were subsequently fathered by this aged man of faith—one who was as good as dead, that he now has offspring as innumerable as the sand on the seashore and as the stars in the sky!

13 These heroes all died still clinging to their faith, not even receiving all that had been promised them. But they saw beyond the horizon the fulfillment of their promises and gladly embraced it from afar. They all lived their lives on earth as those who belonged to another realm.

14 For clearly, those who live this way are longing for the appearing of a Heavenly city.

We too are to embrace the other realm as we navigate through this temporary life.

15 And if their hearts were still remembering what they left behind, they would have found an opportunity to go back.

16 But they couldn’t turn back for their hearts were fixed on what was far greater, that is, the Heavenly realm! So because of this God is not ashamed in any way to be called their God, for He has prepared a Heavenly city for them.

We must also forget what we left behind and keep our focus and faith looking forward just as Abraham and Sarah did.  They were fully committed to what FATHER showed them and did not allow themselves to look back at the past as they moved forward into uncharted territory. They had sensitive hearts to THE LORD.

Seedtime And Harvest

Wednesday, July 27th, 2022

One sows the seed and another reaps the harvest.

After His initial encounter with the woman at the well, Jesus spoke in John chapter 4:

31  Then the disciples began to insist that Jesus eat some of the food they brought back from the village, saying, “Teacher, you must eat something.”

32 But Jesus told them, “Don’t worry about Me. I have eaten a meal you don’t know about.”

33 Puzzled by this, the disciples began to discuss among themselves, “Did someone already bring Him food? Where did He get this meal?”

34 Then Jesus spoke up and said, “My food is to be doing the Will of Him Who sent Me and bring it to completion.

The word Jesus uses isn’t the common word for “food,” but is actually a word that means “nutrients.” It is also a homonym (the same word but different meanings) that is more commonly translated “kingdom.” Jesus has a Kingdom feast that no one else knows about. He feasts upon the devotion of His bride. The church is truly the “woman at the well.”

As it is written by The Holy Spirit in Song of Songs chapter 4:

15 Your life (Jesus) flows into mine, pure as a garden spring. A well of living water springs up from within you, like a mountain brook flowing into my heart!

35 As the crowds emerged from the village, Jesus said to his disciples, “Why would you say, ‘The harvest is another four months away’? Look at all the people coming—now is harvest time! For their hearts are like vast fields of ripened grain—ready for a spiritual harvest.

36 And everyone who reaps these souls for eternal life will receive a reward. And those who plant spiritual seeds and those who reap the harvest will celebrate together with great joy!

With all that is going on in the world, people are ready for a true solution to their problems: poverty, sickness, disease, etc.  Jesus IS the solution and it is up to us to plant Seeds (The Word) when the opportunity arises.  The Word will enter into their hearts and some will soon be ready for harvest.  Yes, there will be some who reject The Word but we must not be discouraged with them.  There are plenty of others who have nowhere else to turn.

37 And this confirms the saying, ‘One sows the Seed and another reaps the harvest.’

38 I have sent you out to harvest a field that you haven’t planted, where many others have labored long and hard before you. And now you are privileged to profit from their labors and reap the harvest.”

Let us profit from those who labored in the past but we must prepare ourselves for those opportunities by renewing our minds daily, coming to full maturity.

39 So there were many from the Samaritan village who became believers in Jesus because of the woman’s testimony: “He told me everything I ever did!” 40 Then they begged Jesus to stay with them, so He stayed there for two days,

41 resulting in many more coming to faith in Him because of His teachings.

42 Then the Samaritans said to the woman, “We no longer believe just because of what you told us, but now we’ve heard Him ourselves and are convinced that He really is the true Savior of the world!

Jesus Loved the people of the Samaritan village and stayed two days with them.  This was a testimony to the disciples who were constantly being challenged because of the past teachings by the Pharisees.  We must set aside traditions and opinions so that we can fully embrace seedtime and harvest of souls for The Kingdom.

Wellspring Of Life

Tuesday, July 26th, 2022

Do you have a “well springing forth life” or are you half-empty?

Do most Christians have an overflowing life?  These writings are intended to move each of us to such a life and in all areas.

Jesus spoke in John chapter 4:

5   Jesus arrived at the Samaritan village of Sychar, near the field that Jacob had given to his son, Joseph, long ago.

6 Wearied by his long journey, he sat on the edge of Jacob’s well. He sent His disciples into the village to buy food, for it was already afternoon. Soon a Samaritan woman came to draw water. Jesus said to her, “Give me a drink of water.”

Jewish Law prevented them from associating with Samaritans but the Law of Love is above all other laws and traditions.  Legalism has caused many to fail in the area of Love.

9 Surprised, she said, “Why would a Jewish man ask a Samaritan woman for a drink of water?”

10 Jesus replied, “If you only knew who I am and the gift that God wants to give you—you’d ask Me for a drink, and I would give to you living water.”

Jesus made it clear that He was here for all of mankind no matter who they are.  The disciples were not ready for this revelation yet.

11 The woman replied, “But Sir, you don’t even have a bucket and this well is very deep. So where do You find this ‘living water’?

12 Do you really think that You are greater than our ancestor Jacob who dug this well and drank from it himself, along with his children and livestock?”

13 Jesus answered, “If you drink from Jacob’s well you’ll be thirsty again and again,

14 but if anyone drinks the Living Water I give them, they will never thirst again and will be forever satisfied! For when you drink the Water I give you it becomes a gushing fountain of the Holy Spirit, springing up and flooding you with endless life!”

Only Jesus can totally fulfill us, nothing else.  Men are never content with what they have so they are always looking for fulfillment.  They think entertainment, cars, houses, etc. will fill their void.  Only Jesus and The Holy Spirit can do that.  Are we good examples of the fulfillment?  We were at a hotel in Missouri this weekend when a Pentecostal church convention was to begin.  The Pentecostal ladies had scowls on their faces and the kids were running amuck.  The men were not happy either. There was no indication of joy in their expressions… sadly.

15 The woman replied, “Let me drink that water so I’ll never be thirsty again and won’t have to come back here to draw water.”

16 Jesus said, “Go get your husband and bring him back here.”

17 “But I’m not married,” the woman answered. “That’s true,” Jesus said,

18 “for you’ve been married five times and now you’re living with a man who is not your husband. You have told the truth.”

Jesus was not moved by her past sins.

19 The woman said, “You must be a prophet!

20 So tell me this: Why do our fathers worship God here on this nearby mountain, but Your people teach that Jerusalem is the place where we must worship. Which is right?” Jesus responded,

21 “Believe me, dear woman, the time has come when you won’t worship the Father on a mountain nor in Jerusalem, but in your heart.

22 Your people don’t really know the One they worship. We Jews worship out of our experience, for it’s from the Jews that salvation is made available.

23 From here on, worshiping the Father will not be a matter of the right place but with the right heart. For God is a Spirit, and He longs to have sincere worshipers who worship and adore Him in the realm of the Spirit and in Truth.

It is vital that we keep this revelation at the forefront of our daily walk!

25 The woman said, “This is all so confusing, but I do know that the Anointed One is coming—the true Messiah. And when He comes, He will tell us everything we need to know.”

26 Jesus said to her, “You don’t have to wait any longer, the Anointed One is here speaking with you— I am the One you’re looking for.”

Consider the fact that Jesus revealed Himself to this woman before He revealed Himself to most of the Jews.

27 At that moment the disciples returned and were stunned to see Jesus speaking with the Samaritan woman. Yet none of them dared to ask Him why or what they were discussing.

Jesus challenged the disciples’ mindsets with this encounter.  The teachings of the Pharisees were shattered.

28 All at once, the woman dropped her water jar and ran off to her village and told everyone,

29 “Come and meet a Man at the well who told me everything I’ve ever done! He could be the Anointed One we’ve been waiting for.”

30 Hearing this, the people came streaming out of the village to go see Jesus.

How many people are running out to see us as The Sons and Daughters?  Revival will begin when the power and authority is manifested in us.  Once that happens, the current system will begin to come apart and the unrighteous activities will no longer be tolerated among the masses.

Kids In Need Update

Monday, July 25th, 2022

A fasted life should be lived based on Love.

Isaiah spoke by THE SPIRIT in chapter 58:

6 “Is this not the fast that I have chosen:

To loose the bonds of wickedness,

To undo the heavy burdens,

To let the oppressed go free,

And that you break every yoke?

7 Is it not to share your bread with the hungry,

And that you bring to your house the poor who are cast out;

When you see the naked, that you cover him,

And not hide yourself from your own flesh?

Now the results of a fasted life based on Love:

8 Then your light shall break forth like the morning,

Your healing shall spring forth speedily,

And your righteousness shall go before you;

The glory of the LORD shall be your rear guard.

9 Then you shall call, and the LORD will answer;

You shall cry, and He will say, ‘Here I am.’

The wiles

Friday, July 22nd, 2022

When Adam and Eve were first in the Garden, they lived a rather perfect life without any scarcity.  They had no needs so how did the serpent manage to get Eve to sin?  It was solely by deception and now it is no different.

Paul wrote by The Holy Spirit in Ephesians chapter 6:

10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. 11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

What are wiles?  They are deceptions, schemings, lies, cunningness, craftiness.  Does that sound familiar with what is happening around the world?

Paul also wrote by The Holy Spirit in 2nd Corinthians chapter 11:

3 But I fear, lest somehow, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, so your minds may be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.

We must remain vigilant when it comes to listening/watching Christian teachers for they may lead us astray because of their own errors and opinions.  I myself have been deceived in the past so I am very cautious about what I watch, read, or listen to.  If things get to complex, most likely they are not preaching the pure Word of Christ.  Paul warned of this potential even back then.

The adversary would have us believe that FATHER has not provided for you and me individually and he uses “wiles” to promote that idea.  We need to simply renew our minds to Ephesians chapter 1 as I have written in the past.

Now is the time to stand up against the deceptions and know that FATHER’S Love has full provision for us!

Obedience To Love

Tuesday, July 19th, 2022

True obedience is equated to Love.

Jesus spoke in John chapter 14:

23  Jesus replied, “Loving Me empowers you to obey My Word. And My Father will Love you so deeply that We will come to you and make you Our dwelling place. 24 But those who don’t Love me will not obey My Words. The Father did not send Me to speak My own revelation, but the Words of my Father.

25 I am telling you this while I am still with you.

26 But when the Father sends the Spirit of Holiness, the One like Me Who sets you free, He will teach you all things in My Name. And He will inspire you to remember every Word that I’ve told you.

As we mature in obedience to The Word, we are expressing our Love for Our Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ, and The Holy Spirit.  As this maturity occurs, Truth springs forth in our consciousness and we begin to see the world for what it truly is.  We are led to see or experience situations which are clearly true or false in our matured discernment.  We are no longer manipulated by man’s soulish intent but are now aware of falsehoods which were previously thought to be viable outcomes.

Our needs and desires change.  We no longer need bigger this or a more luxurious that.  We become practical to what is needful for us to fulfill our callings.  Everything else is simply nonessential to our walk.

Jesus did not need a PhD behind His Name.  He did not need a 25,000 square foot mansion to call home.  He did not need a Rolls Royce to drive around nor did He need the latest jet aircraft to zoom around in.  He was all about the people who needed Him.  People needed to relate to Him and feel comfortable that He was not condescending in His acts, speech, or possessions.  He did not perpetuate a false impression but instead led a humble life while ministering on earth.  He was and is the Perfect Example of what life is all about… Love in action and perfect obedience to FATHER’S Divine Intent.  Actions speak louder than words or perceptions.
