This morning I was awaken a few minutes past 3 A.M. and was immediately instructed to arise and write a warning concerning pride. We find in Job 33:
14 “Indeed God speaks once, Or twice, yet no one notices it.
15 “In a dream, a vision of the night,
When sound sleep falls on men, While they slumber in their beds,
16 Then He opens the ears of men, And seals their instruction,
17 That He may turn man aside from his conduct,
And keep man from pride;
18 He keeps back his soul from the pit,
And his life from passing over into Sheol.”
When FATHER gives men and women revelation or sacred knowledge, they become accountable and responsible for its use. They are not to exalt themselves by acting as though their calling is above and beyond that of others. Revelation is given to establish FATHER’S Kingdom not your own. Revelation is intended to bring all men to a higher state of relationship with FATHER, not a select few. This is precisely why I encourage everyone to seek HIS Face. We are all encouraged to come up higher and be lights unto the world and that is why the disciples were mandated to go into all the world.
In Proverbs 16, Wisdom spoke:
18 Pride goes before destruction, And a haughty spirit before a fall.
19 Better to be of a humble spirit with the lowly, Than to divide the spoil with the proud.
20 He who heeds the word wisely will find good, And whoever trusts in the LORD, happy is he.
When we are better able to hear FATHER, we must maintain a sincere humbleness especially toward those who are having a difficult time hearing HIM. Each of us has a unique history and those who are mature will not leverage themselves because of their relationship with FATHER. Love serves others rather than lifting and exalting one’s self.
Again Wisdom spoke in chapter 29:
23 A man’s pride will bring him low,
But the humble in spirit will retain honor.
When you exalt yourself above others and entice them to follow you, then you have effectively promoted yourself as others’ source of revelation rather than FATHER. You have turned men’s eyes away from HIM and that is a very dangerous place to be for it leads to destruction.
In Daniel Chapter 5 Belshazzar the king of Babylon was about to be removed from power. He was given the writing on the wall because of his pride:
20 But when his heart was lifted up, and his spirit was hardened in pride, he was deposed from his kingly throne, and they took his glory from him.
21 Then he was driven from the sons of men, his heart was made like the beasts, and his dwelling was with the wild donkeys. They fed him with grass like oxen, and his body was wet with the dew of heaven, till he knew that the Most High God rules in the kingdom of men, and appoints over it whomever He chooses.
In 1 John chapter 2, the Beloved Disciple warns us:
15 Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
16 For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father but is of the world.
17 And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever.
We must be vigilant to protect ourselves from pride in its various expressions. We must critically assess our motives toward others as we minister FATHER’S Words HE shares. We should minister Love and serve with the sacred knowledge graciously given to us for the purpose of edifying others and lifting them up higher.
