Commissioned

Saturday, December 13th, 2025

We are commissioned when we are in submission to the primary mission!

We are called to be co-laborers with THE LORD.  Both Power and authority are given to us to walk out our calling, not create a personal kingdom.

When did Jesus Himself receive power and authority?

Luke recorded by The Holy Spirit in Luke 3:

21-22 One day, Jesus came to be baptized along with all the others. As He was consumed with the Spirit of prayer, the Heavenly realm ripped open above Him and the Holy Spirit descended from Heaven in the form of a dove and landed on and remained upon Him. Then God’s audible Voice was heard, saying, “My Son, You are My Beloved Son. Through You I am fulfilled (well pleased).”

When The Holy Spirit descended on Jesus, His public ministry began.  The adversary attempted to undermine His ministry but failed.  Jesus walked in power and He came in authority because He was commissioned by THE FATHER.

Where does our authority come from?  It comes from our “yes” to the commission given to us by Our Heavenly Father.  HE can do everything better than we can and He can do everything better without us, yet HE has chosen us… co-missioned us to operate on HIS behalf.  FATHER’S pleasure is working through us.  HE takes delight in the concept of us being co-laborers with HIM.

Jesus imparted to His disciples authority and power in Matthew chapter 10:

5 These twelve Jesus sent out and commanded them, saying: “Do not go into the way of the Gentiles, and do not enter a city of the Samaritans.

6 But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

7 And as you go, preach, saying, ‘The kingdom of Heaven is at hand.’

8 Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give.

This was a precursor (and temporary in nature) to their full commission after Jesus’ resurrection.  It was to prepare them for their ministry after Jesus sat down at the Right Hand of THE FATHER.

Jesus spoke in Matthew chapter 28:

16 Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, to the mountain which Jesus had appointed for them.

17 When they saw Him, they worshiped Him; but some doubted.

18 And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in Heaven and on earth.

19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the Name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,

20 teaching them to faithfully follow all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.

It is vital to embrace the Truth that we have been co-missioned to do the same.  This commission is effective throughout the age we are now in.

Jesus came to earth with authority because He was commissioned by HIS FATHER.  Why did He come?

The Beloved Disciple wrote by The Holy Spirit in 1st John chapter 3:

8 He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil.

Jesus’ primary mission was to reveal THE FATHER and HIS Divine Intent for mankind.  The captives are to be set free!  Jesus had to have an encounter with The Spirit of God for Him to have power.  The authority of the adversary was successfully eliminated at the cross.  We now have legal authority to walk in the power of The Holy Spirit.

Authority comes in our “yes” to His mission.  Power comes in the encounter with The Holy Spirit.  Power and authority is as necessary right now as it’s ever been in human history.  Let us embrace and walk in both!

You Have Been Chosen

Friday, December 12th, 2025

Many Christians simply live off what FATHER brings to them!

They use the sovereignty of GOD as their justification of living a passive, unfruitful life without any accountability or responsibility to act.  FATHER will always bring what you need, but most of what you want, you’ll have to pursue.

Paul wrote by The Holy Spirit in 1st Timothy chapter 1:

18 So Timothy, my son, I am entrusting you with this responsibility, in keeping with the very first prophecies that were spoken over your life, and are now in the process of fulfillment in this great work of ministry, in keeping with the prophecies spoken over you. With this encouragement use your prophecies as weapons as you wage spiritual warfare by faith and with a clean conscience. For there are many who reject these virtues and are now destitute of the true faith,

Every one of us has promises spoken over our life concerning our future.  FATHER did not form us in the womb without a specific plan for each of us.  It is our responsibility to seek out that plan, not just tread water until we pass away and get to Heaven.  We are not called to be on a perpetual vacation or living a life in a remote cabin doing nothing.

Spiritual warfare denotes taking the offensive.

When the dream dies, you lose the willingness to fight for what GOD has put in your heart, a sense of destiny, a sense of purpose.  What you know can keep you from what you need to know if you don’t remain childlike where you constantly pursue greater understanding of your purpose.  Don’t allow your knowledge to harden you to your own personal growth.

You have been chosen for something that HE will reveal if you pursue what HE has for you.  Did Peter the fisherman or Matthew the tax collector ever thought that they would be world changers?  Jesus came along and exposed them to potential and to possibility.  Don’t discount yourself!

The more time they spent with Him, the more they actually considered that they were significant.  Jesus never rebuked the disciples for their desire for greatness.  He redefined it.  Who is the greatest in the Kingdom?  Those who are willing to serve everyone.

Jesus spoke in Matthew chapter 18:

1 At that time the disciples came to ask Jesus, “Who is considered to be the greatest in Heaven’s Kingdom realm?”

2 Jesus called a little one to his side and said to them,

3 “Learn this well: Unless you dramatically change your way of thinking and become teachable like a little child, you will never be able to enter in.

4 Whoever continually humbles himself to become like this little child is the greatest one in heaven’s kingdom realm.

And Jesus spoke in Mark chapter 9:

33 Then they came to Capernaum. And as soon as Jesus was inside the house, he asked his disciples, “What were you arguing about on the way here?”

34 No one said a word, because they had been arguing about which one of them was the greatest.

35 Jesus sat down, called the twelve disciples to come around Him, and said to them, “If anyone wants to be first, he must be content to be last and become a servant to all.”

A person who is self-centered serves only himself.  A person who is GOD-centered, serves everyone.

While Jesus was with the disciples, they operated under His power and authority.  Those two realms rested on them.  After He was resurrected, He instructed them to stay in Jerusalem because they had to get power and authority for themselves.  This happened at the Day of Pentecost.

Power and authority is given to us to walk out our calling, not create a personal kingdom.  If you don’t pursue the fullness of The Holy Spirit in your life, you will become an observer only as the Kingdom comes forth on the earth.

We Cannot Change Our Assignments

Thursday, December 11th, 2025

You don’t have the right to change your assignment!

Who initiated and provided your gifts and calling?  Our Heavenly Father did.  As we surrender to HIM, HE will enable us to receive whatever resources we need to fulfill our individual callings.  As we pray in The Holy Spirit, our prayers will build us up in The Holy Spirit to properly administer our assignments.

It is written by The Holy Spirit in Jude verse 20:

But you, my delightfully loved friends, constantly and progressively build yourselves up on the foundation of your most Holy faith by praying every moment in the Holy Spirit.

Our responsibility is to pray in THE SPIRIT, a perfect prayer to THE FATHER.

Paul wrote by The Holy Spirit in 1st Thessalonians chapter 5:

16 Rejoice evermore.

17 Pray without ceasing.

18 In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

19 Quench not the Spirit.

In other Words, never restrain or put out the fire of the Holy Spirit.  I begin each day by praying in The Holy Spirt.  This corrects any issues with my mindset as I start the day.

Jesus warned us about guarding ourselves from the mindsets of the world.

Jesus spoke in Mark chapter 8:

15 And as they were sailing across the lake, Jesus repeatedly warned them, “Be on your guard against the yeast (leaven) inside of the Pharisees and the yeast (leaven) inside of Herod!”

There are three mindsets and Jesus warned us of the two that are destructive to our assignment:

First, the way of religion or religious spirit: The religious spirit has GOD in the center of everything, but HE’S impersonal and powerless.  HE’S there in theme, in idea, in concept, but not in relationship, not in power, not in Presence.

Second, the way of politics or political spirit:  The political spirit is humanism; it has man at the center of everything.  It doesn’t mind a belief in GOD, just don’t bring HIM into the equation.

The third way is The Kingdom of GOD, the only acceptable mindset we should live by.  It is opposed to worldly reasoning.  It is the only mindset that is meant to spread throughout the earth.

Back in Mark chapter 8 Jesus spoke:

16 And they reasoned among themselves, saying, “It is because we have no bread.”

17 But Jesus, being aware of it, said to them, “Why do you reason because you have no bread? Do you not yet perceive nor understand? Is your heart still hardened?

18 Having eyes, do you not see? And having ears, do you not hear? And do you not remember?

The disciples were yet to walk in the Kingdom mindset even though they observed Jesus operating in the Kingdom mindset.

Have you had a supernatural miracle of provision before?  After that miracle, have you had another financial challenge?  Were you confident of a miracle the second time, or did you forget?  It is the intentional calling to mind what you’ve seen and or have heard of the mighty works of GOD.

Real faith does deny the existence of a problem.  Real faith denies the problem a place of influence.  We must not allow ourselves to be moved by resistance to our individual assignments.  We are meant to overcome anything that stands in the way of completing our assignments.  Real faith silences the voice of a problem.

Temporary scarcity is not an excuse; Jesus provided us examples when He turned the water into wine and prayed over the bread and fishes to be multiplied thus providing more than enough to feed the multitudes.  Jesus fed more and had more leftovers when He started with less.  That is an example of the Kingdom economy that enables our callings.

Be Faithful To His Commands

Sunday, December 7th, 2025

Be faithful to the commands of Jesus!

His commands span yesterday, today, and forever… not only for the early church in the Book of Acts.

Moses recorded by The Holy Spirit in Deuteronomy chapter 7:

9 “Therefore know that the LORD Your God, He is God, the faithful God Who keeps covenant and mercy for a thousand generations with those who Love Him and keep His commandments;

I can’t emphasize enough the importance of keeping the commands of Jesus.  If you don’t, can you truly say that you Love Him and are diligent to keep His Word?

“For many are called, but few chosen.”

Jesus spoke to the Beloved Disciple who was called to write down His Words directed to the church at Ephesus in Revelation chapter 2:

4 But I have this against you: you have abandoned the passionate love you had for me at the beginning.

5 Think about how far you have fallen! Repent and do the works of Love you did at first. I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place of influence if you do not repent.

6 Although, to your credit, you despise the practices of the Nicolaitans, which I also despise.

7 The one whose heart is open let him listen carefully to what the Spirit is saying now to all the churches. To the one who overcomes I will give access to feast on the fruit of the Tree of Life that is found in the paradise of God.

The church at Ephesus had lost its first Love.  Their focus had gone from revelation to performing rituals as a substitute for true worship.  Jesus despises rituals.

A ritual is a religious or solemn ceremony consisting of a series of actions performed according to a prescribed order.  Are you being led by a ritual in place of being led by The Holy Spirit?  The Nicolaitans promoted error in the church rather than the Truth revealed by The Holy Spirit.

What is the purpose of a lampstand?  It is to provide light in the darkness.  How is the lampstand replenished?  By The Holy Spirit, the Holy Oil!

It is written by The Holy Spirit in Zechariah chapter 4:

1 And the angel who was speaking with me came back and awakened me, like a man who is awakened out of his sleep.

2 He said to me, “What do you see?” I said, “I see, and behold, a lampstand all of gold, with its bowl [for oil] on the top of it and its seven lamps on it with seven spouts belonging to each of the lamps which are on the top of it.

3 And there are two olive trees by it, one on the right side of the bowl and the other on its left side [supplying it continuously with oil].”

4 So I asked the angel who was speaking with me, “What are these, my lord?”

5 Then the angel who was speaking with me answered me, “Do you not know what these are?” And I said, “No, my lord.”

6 Then he said to me, “This [continuous supply of oil] is the Word of the LORD to Zerubbabel [prince of Judah], saying, ‘Not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit [of whom the oil is a symbol],’ says the LORD of hosts.

Any person or church that does not acknowledge the importance and specific ministry of The Holy Spirit will be judged by OUR LORD.

Jesus spoke in John chapter 14:

25 “These things I have spoken to you while being present with you.

26 But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, Whom the Father will send in My Name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.

We are to be full Gospel, not 2/3 Gospel!

The Holy Spirit is to teach us all things in the Name of Jesus and, He will inspire to remember every Word Jesus spoke… including His Commands to us.  The church at Ephesus had no excuse, neither do we!

Embracing His Authority

Friday, December 5th, 2025

We are to understand our assignment given to us by Jesus Himself!

Our authority comes from the commission given to us by Jesus.  Our power comes from the encounter.  As I wrote yesterday:

Luke recorded by The Holy Spirit in Acts chapter 2:

32 This Jesus God has raised up, of which we are all witnesses.

33 Therefore being exalted to the Right Hand of God, and having received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, He poured out this which you now see and hear.

And in verse 38:

Then Peter said to them, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the Name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Peter speaks of three different actions:

Repent

Be baptized in water

Receive the gift of The Holy Spirit

These are commands, not suggestions!

Peter continued:

39 For the promise is to you and to your children, and to all who are afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call.”

In other Words, God’s promise of the Holy Spirit is for you and your families, for those yet to be born and for everyone whom the Lord our God calls to Himself.

This Word includes you and me.

Concerning the Parable of the Workers in the Vineyard, Jesus spoke in Matthew chapter 20:

16 So the last will be first, and the first last. For many are called, but few chosen.”

An angel spoke to John and he recorded by The Holy Spirit in Revelation chapter 17:

14 These will make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb will overcome them, for He is Lord of lords and King of kings; and those who are with Him are called, chosen, and faithful.”

Notice that those who were chosen are also known to be faithful.

The Baptism of The Holy Spirit was given to that initial generation of disciples and believers.  It started with the 11 in the upper room.  It went to the upper room with 120, and then it spread to thousands.  In the first day, there were 3,000 more added.  The Promise of THE FATHER continued to spread.

People realized that they were not just on planet earth to occupy space and lead a good upright life, but they were here to make a difference in the course of history for entire nations.

This Promise is for you, your children, the next generation, and to all who will come forth in the future.  What started 2,000 years ago was never meant to decline.  It was supposed to increase in momentum in every generation following.

When you give your children what you received and you steward what you were given correctly, it actually creates the platform for increase.

For whatever reason, people dropped the responsibility for healing, dropped the responsibility for deliverance, and in many cases, dropped the responsibility of preaching the Gospel for salvation.

Thankfully, there was always a remnant.  There was always people living in what I am writing about.

Jesus spoke in John chapter 14:

12 “I tell you this timeless Truth: The person who follows Me in faith, believing in Me, will do the same mighty miracles that I do—even greater miracles than these because I go to be with My Father!

This Promise of The Holy Spirit was always meant to increase, never to decline.

The outpouring of The Holy Spirit was supposed to be the New Testament standard for how we do Life.  That lifestyle of walking in the assignment of THE LORD, the commission of THE LORD, the power of THE LORD, is for every single believer.

After the resurrection, Jesus appeared to the disciples to commission them (and us) in Matthew chapter 28:

18 And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in Heaven and on earth.

Jesus is identifying Himself as the Son of man in this statement for GOD has never lost authority.  Since Jesus took on flesh, in doing so, the Perfect Lamb of GOD qualified you and me for an inheritance.  He got for us a position, an assignment, Eternal Life, but a specific purpose for Life that we could not have earned if we had all of Eternity to earn it.  It was a gift!  HE qualified us for it through His death and resurrection.

19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the Name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,

20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.

Jesus conveyed to us His authority to do what He has called us to do.  Our authority comes in our “YES” to His commission.  If Jesus has all authority, it tells us that the accuser of the brethren has no authority.  All he can do is talk until somebody with authority believes him.  Don’t be that “somebody”!  It is time for us to walk in His authority, but there’s more.

Paul’s Warning Against Unholiness

Monday, November 24th, 2025

In that last days, men will be unthankful to GOD!

What does it mean to be full Gospel versus two-thirds Gospel?  GOD is triune: THE FATHER, THE SON, and THE HOLY SPIRIT.  How many church services include the teaching and ministry of The Holy Spirit?

In the early church, the ministry of The Holy Spirit was widespread, beginning in Acts chapter 2 and other references were recorded.  Paul had to correct the Corinthian church and establish the proper order of the gifts of The Holy Spirit during their assembly.  How many churches today allow the gifts of The Holy Spirit to operate within their building?

Let’s refer back to Paul’s warning of what the last days would look like.

Paul wrote by The Holy Spirit in 2nd Timothy chapter 3:

1 But you need to be aware that in the final days the culture of society will become extremely fierce.

2 People will be self-centered lovers of themselves and obsessed with money. They will boast of great things as they strut around in their arrogant pride and mock all that is right. They will ignore their own families. They will be ungrateful and ungodly.

3 They will become addicted to hateful and malicious slander. Slaves to their desires, they will be ferocious, belligerent haters of what is good and right.

4 With brutal treachery, they will act without restraint, bigoted and wrapped in clouds of their conceit. They will find their delight in the pleasures of this world more than the pleasures of the Loving God.

If you are ungrateful to GOD, you will also be ungodly.  Your focus will move away from Holiness and focus on the pleasures of the world.

5 They may pretend to have a respect for God, but in reality, they want nothing to do with God’s power. Stay away from people like these!

They may ask GOD or Jesus to heal someone, but they disregard the Words of Jesus in the Great Commission commanding us to heal the sick by the power of The Holy Spirit, in Jesus’ Name.

6 For they are the ones who worm their way into the hearts of vulnerable women, spending the night with those who are captured by their lusts and steeped in sin.

7 They are always learning but never discover the revelation-knowledge of Truth.

You can get a degree in Religious Studies and become a minister or chaplain, but without The Holy Spirit, you are simply puffed up with knowledge.  You have achieved a form of godliness but are denying its power.

How many churches are restricting their services to 25 minutes of “worship”, 5 minutes of activities announcements, and 30 minutes for a short sermon?  How many churches teach on Acts chapter 2, 1st Corinthians chapter 12 and 14?

What is the opposite of being thankful?  It is murmuring.

In Scripture, “murmuring” is low-voiced complaining, grumbling, or discontent, often directed at God or leaders, and it is condemned as a sin that shows a lack of gratitude and faith. This behavior is seen as a form of rebellion, as demonstrated by the Israelites’ constant complaints against God and Moses in the wilderness. Murmuring is associated with creating discord, undermining authority, and leading to serious consequences, as seen in examples like the destruction of those who murmured against God.

Paul warns us and provides an example as he wrote by The Holy Spirit in 1st Corinthians chapter 10:

1 My dear fellow believers, you need to understand that all of our Jewish ancestors who walked through a wilderness long ago were under the glory cloud and passed through the waters of the sea on both sides.

2 They were all baptized into the cloud of glory, into the fellowship of Moses, and into the sea.

3 They all ate the same Heavenly manna

4 and drank water from the same Spiritual Rock that traveled with them—and that Rock was Christ Himself.

5 Yet God was not pleased with most of them, and their dead bodies were scattered around the wilderness.

6 Now, all these things serve as types and pictures for us—lessons that teach us not to fail in the same way by callously craving worthless things

7 and practicing idolatry, as some of them did. For it is written: The people settled in to their unrestrained revelry, with feasting and drinking, then they rose up and became wildly out of control!

8 Neither should we commit sexual immorality, as some of them did, which caused the death of twenty-three thousand on a single day.

9 Nor should we ever provoke the Lord, as some of them did by putting Him to outrageous tests that resulted in their death from snakebites day after day.

10 And we must not embrace their ways by complaining—grumbling with discontent, as many of them did, and were killed by the destroyer!

They were murmuring against THE LORD.

11 All the tests they endured on their way through the wilderness are a symbolic picture, an example that provides us with a warning so that we can learn through what they experienced. For we live in a time when the purpose of all the ages past is now completing its goal within us.

12 So beware if you think it could never happen to you, lest your pride becomes your downfall.

We must not disregard the signs of the times and allow ourselves to be satisfied with a watered-down Gospel designed to tickle our ears and make us feel good about ourselves as we do nothing to truly further The Kingdom here on earth.

Let us be continuously thankful to Our Heavenly Father and allow The Holy Spirit to lead us each day.

Without Thanksgiving

Sunday, November 23rd, 2025

Without thanksgiving, the gate to GOD’S Presence is inaccessible!

What happens to society when they are no longer thankful for all that GOD has done?  Paul provides us the details of what we will observe.

Paul recorded by The Holy Spirit in Romans chapter 1:

18 For the wrath of God is revealed from Heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the Truth in unrighteousness,

19 because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them.

20 For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His Eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse,

21 because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened.

22 Professing to be wise, they became fools,

When we cease being thankful, we are starting on a downward, slippery path.  If you start down that path, it is hard to turn around and make your way back up again.

The Holy Spirit found it necessary to provide us with much detail of this slippery slope once men have turned away from their Creator.  It is important to view this list with what is going on today.

24 This is why God lifted off His restraining Hand and let them have full expression of their sinful and shameful desires. They were given over to moral depravity, dishonoring their bodies by sexual perversion among themselves—

25 all because they traded the Truth of God for a lie. They worshiped and served the things God made rather than the God who made all things—glory and praises to Him forever and ever! Amen!

26-27 For this reason God gave them over to their own disgraceful and vile passions. Enflamed with lust for one another, men and women ignored the natural order and exchanged normal sexual relations for homosexuality. Women engaged in lesbian conduct, and men committed shameful acts with men, receiving in themselves the due penalty for their deviation.

28 And because they thought it was worthless to embrace the true knowledge of God, God gave them over to a worthless mind-set, to break all rules of proper conduct.

29 Their sinful lives became full of every kind of evil, wicked schemes, greed, and cruelty. Their hearts overflowed with jealous cravings, and with conflict and strife, which drove them into hateful arguments and murder. They are deceitful liars full of hostility. They are gossips

30 who love to spread malicious slander. With inflated egos they hurl hateful insults at God, yet they are nothing more than arrogant boasters. They are rebels against their parents and totally immoral.

31 They are senseless, faithless, ruthless, heartless, and completely merciless.

32 Although they are fully aware of God’s laws and proper order, and knowing that those who do all of these things deserve to die, yet they still go headlong into darkness, encouraging others to do the same and applauding them when they do!

What an indictment of where much of society is today!  Do you think that FATHER is unaware of the seriousness of this situation?  Is there judgment around the corner?

Paul also wrote by The Holy Spirit in 2nd Timothy chapter 3:

5 They may pretend to have a respect for God, but in reality they want nothing to do with God’s power. Stay away from people like these!

6 For they are the ones who worm their way into the hearts of vulnerable women, spending the night with those who are captured by their lusts and steeped in sin.

7 They are always learning but never discover the revelation-knowledge of Truth.

The lists above confirm that we are in the final days.  It is critical that we not allow ourselves to be swayed by society but instead, we move closer to Our Heavenly Father Who will protect us as judgment comes forth.  Let us be thankful at all times.

The Holy Spirit has sufficiently warned us of the alternative and its ramifications.

Effective, Strategic Prayer

Sunday, November 16th, 2025

GOD has strategically arranged for you as HIS representative of HIS world to be positioned here on earth at this time to make a difference!

Each of us has gifts and a calling Divinely appointed by Our Heavenly Father.  HE co-labors with us to bring forth HIS Kingdom on earth as it is in Heaven.  We have been placed here for such a time as this.

Prayer is an essential part of our lives in receiving our dreams and desires from FATHER.  I wrote about praying for our daily needs yesterday.  We need not use vain repetitions as though we can persuade FATHER to provide our daily needs.

In Matthew chapter 6, Jesus spoke of this type of prayer.  In Matthew chapter 7, He speaks of another type of prayer:

7 “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.

8 For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.

9 Or what man is there among you who, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone?

10 Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent?

11 If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father Who is in Heaven give good things (gifts) to those who ask Him!

In other Words, “Ask, and the gift is yours. Seek, and you’ll discover. Knock, and the door will be opened for you.  For every persistent one will get what he asks for. Every persistent seeker will discover what he longs for. And everyone who knocks persistently will one day find an open door.”

Why must we be persistent in this type of prayer?  Our persistence changes us so that we can properly steward the gift we are requesting.

When Jesus gave us the assignment to pray, He never told us to pray to keep us busy.  He did not create prayer as a Christian activity to occupy our time, to occupy our thoughts, or to engage us emotionally knowing that we’ll never see the fulfillment of what we’re praying.

James wrote by The Holy Spirit in his Epistle, James chapter 5:

13 Are there any believers in your fellowship suffering great hardship and distress? Encourage them to pray! Are there happy, cheerful ones among you? Encourage them to sing out their praises!

14 Are there any sick among you? Then ask the elders of the church to come and pray over the sick and anoint them with oil in the name of our Lord.

15 And the prayer of faith will heal the sick and the Lord will raise them up, and if they have committed sins they will be forgiven.

16 Confess and acknowledge how you have offended one another and then pray for one another to be instantly healed, for tremendous power is released through the passionate, heartfelt prayer of a godly believer!

The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much!

The design of prayer comes out of this place where HE says, “Come up here.”  It is an engagement with the Heart of THE FATHER.  We have already been blessed with every Spiritual blessing in Christ in Heavenly places.

Paul wrote by The Holy Spirit in Ephesians chapter 1:

3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the Heavenly places in Christ,

In other Words, every spiritual blessing in the Heavenly realm has already been lavished upon us as a Love gift from Our Wonderful Heavenly Father, the Father of our Lord Jesus.  Those spiritual blessings are already in my account.  However, it’s not all in my possession.  Prayer facilitates possession!

The Christian life is learning to make withdrawals.  As we mature, we will effect change on the earth and bring forth HIS Kingdom.
