The ultimate destination of a Son is to ascend in the Spirit to the highest realm of existence, HIS Presence.  In order to do this, we must first “come out”:

Revelation 18:4   And I heard another voice from heaven saying, “Come out of her, my people, lest you share in her sins, and lest you receive of her plagues.

“Come out” means to depart.  We must leave “Egypt” behind, we must depart from the sin nature.  Egypt is where the children of Israel were in judgment and bondage.  This is where the captives must be set free.

2 Corinthians 6:17 Therefore

​​​“Come out from among them

​​And be separate, says the Lord.

​​Do not touch what is unclean,

​​And I will receive you.”

18 ​​“I will be a Father to you,

​​And you shall be My sons and daughters,

​​Says the LORD Almighty.”

The first step to sonship is to come out and away from the old man.  We must leave behind the old nature and “self”.  We must get away from the worldliness and forsake the former path we were on.

Next, we are called to “come up”:

Revelation 4:1  After these things I looked, and behold, a door standing open in heaven. And the first voice which I heard was like a trumpet speaking with me, saying, “Come up here, and I will show you things which must take place after this.”

Our focus and priority must move toward HIS higher ways.  We are to meet HIM in the air in order to be shown greater mysteries, not below in the muck and mire.  Jesus Christ ascended and so shall we.  We must not look at the external but focus on the internal.  If you think that FATHER will do an external work first and then somehow you will absorb HIS Glory internally, you have it backwards.  Inside of us is the Temple of the Holy Spirit.  We are called to a higher revelation and understanding within us.  As we change internally, the external fruit will be produced for others to see.  Jesus had a corrective interview with the Pharisees concerning their focus:

Matthew 23:25 “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you cleanse the outside of the cup and dish, but inside they are full of extortion and self-indulgence.  26 Blind Pharisee, first cleanse the inside of the cup and dish, that the outside of them may be clean also.

27 “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like whitewashed tombs which indeed appear beautiful outwardly, but inside are full of dead men’s bones and all uncleanness.28 Even so you also outwardly appear righteous to men, but inside you are full of hypocrisy and lawlessness.

We must have a change of heart, then we must proceed and focus on the the higher aspects of Spiritual maturity.  The fruit we produce should be easily seen and inspected.  Are we promoting life or death, Love or hate, peace or division?

Revelation 3:20  “Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.”

How would you like to have Jesus Christ as your dinner companion?  As you ascend in the Spirit, you are transformed into the express image of Christ.  You become One with Him!  You are fed Word wrapped in the revelation and intent of it.  This is what will nourish your spirit, soul, and body.  The toxic substances of your carnal nature will be removed as you sup with Him.  When you come in to HIS Presence you have ascended beyond the Outer Court and the Holy Place.  The veil is no longer a hindrance to you since He initiated the ingress into the Holy of Holies, the highest realm.

Do you feel unworthy?  Don’t let the old man keep you from coming out.  Jesus always focused on restoration no matter what state the person was in.  After all, the whole world was ungodly when He arrived on the scene in the physical.  He is not moved by your imperfections just as a refiner knows how to remove imperfections in precious metals… just turn up the heat!

Come out, come up, and come in.  Don’t delay.

I must conclude that many who continue to read this site are being drawn toward full maturity in Christ.  If you are like me, you have an intense desire to proceed to full spiritual maturity and you know you have not yet arrived.  Deep inside there is an expectation of a calling that has not yet fully manifested.  You will know it when you see it.  Your path has taken you beyond the understanding of those who were once your teachers and it seems as though you extracted all the revelation they had to offer but there was still something missing.  “You know that you know” there is more.  Paul reveals this reality in Ephesians 1:

3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ,

4 just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love,

5 having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will

Our Heavenly Father chose us in HIM before the foundation of the world, before our formation in the womb, and before our “birthday” to our designated set of parents.  Do you dare comprehend this reality?  We were chosen before the foundation of this world was laid!  Once you embrace this truth, you come to realize the quest to ascend to the fullness of maturity in HIM.

My friend Roy and I have made several backpacking trips to Colorado.  The mountains are majestic.  Of course we sought to go to the top of the mountain.  Why?  Because it is there, we saw it.  From the base of the mountain, it doesn’t look that far away but as you proceed up the mountain, you find that it takes hours to ascend… not minutes.  The air gets thinner and you are easily winded.  How do you get to the top?   One step at a time, slowly but surely.  One particular mountain we ascended is known as Pyramid Peak.  At times we had to crawl by hand and foot in the ascension.  There was more than one trail option to arrive at the top, some were easier than others.  When we finally made it to the apex, there was a tube with pencil and paper to record your success but more important, the view was second to none.  You could see other peaks for miles and miles.  It was breathtaking.

Our road to maturity is similar.  Less and less people will be found as you are ascending toward maturity.  Many will try by emotion but that fades as the air gets thinner.  They will look back at the comfort of the valley and turn back.  But you will continue the climb as you are drawn to the mountain.  Yes it can seem lonely at times but Our Heavenly Father will send like-minded brethren across your path.  The trials and tests are offset by HIS blessings and encouragement providing you with assurance that you are on the right path which will get you to the desired destination.

Exodus 34:2 So be ready in the morning, and come up in the morning to Mount Sinai, and present yourself to Me there on the top of the mountain.

3 And no man shall come up with you, and let no man be seen throughout all the mountain; let neither flocks nor herds feed before that mountain.”

When Moses was told to get the “stones” of the renewed Covenant, he was to go alone.  He did not lead an entourage with him.  When we are called into HIS Presence it will be fulfilled at the individual level.  No one will be with us as we enter the Holy of Holies of HIS Presence.  A door or portal separates us from HIS Presence.  Each of us must open this door when we hear the knocking.  As we open the door, we will hear the words “Come up hither”.  Don’t hesitate, HE chose us before the foundation of the world.  Let me encourage you to proceed on and be not dismayed.  What appears to be a delay is actually ordained to complete the process of your maturity.  The wheat and the tares were allowed to grow together until both were fully mature.  Each of us must focus on our individual journey.  Don’t think that the actions of others will somehow transfer to your account.  Each must make the trip up the mountain individually.  See you at the top.

The summary of the process to maturity:  foreknow, predestinate, called, justified, glorified

Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.

29 For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren.

30 Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified.

In October of 1971 I was being fed the Word and received the Holy Spirit at a Christian coffee house by the name of “The Open Door”.  I knew hardly anything of the Spiritual nature back then but a whole new life opened before me.  I received the baptism of the Holy Spirit that particular month in the “upper room”.  Yes, they literally had an little upper room accessible by a set of wooden stairs inside the building.  This is when I met my wife-to-be as well.  It was quite a month!  At this point in time, I became Heavenly minded.

This was the time when the Door was opened for me to go through in order to hear and see the Spiritual.  Heaven and its attributes became alive to me and our Lord Jesus Christ became personal rather than a distant Lord.  I experienced the Holy Spirit as an immature “child” in the WORD.  Spiritually speaking, the Door was opened to me at that time.  I now had eyes to see and ears to hear.  Little did I realize that 43 years later I would experiencing such greater aspects of HIS Kingdom.

A door is a portal separating two realms: the inside from the outside.  The outside environment encompasses our house and our front door acts as the entrance into the house.  The house itself is contained in the environment.  While inside the house, I am restricted from the greater expanse of the outside environment.  The door allows me access to this greater expanse.  A closed door is designed to limit access, normally for our protection and especially for immature children.

Jesus Christ is the Door into the Heavenlies:

John 10:9 I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture. 10 The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.  NKJV

HIS Door is the portal to abundant life.  This life is not in some distant far away country.  It is here and now surrounding us but in a higher realm.  Just as radio waves are all around us and we cannot see them does not negate the fact that they are there.  We simply need a receiver to experience and enjoy their existence.  Those waves seem to defy distance.  Cell phones operate under the same set of laws and we have no problem in accepting those laws we cannot see.

Now is the time for us to be “Heavenly minded” rather than “earthly minded”.  The solutions to the problems of mankind are found in a higher state than the world’s thinking.  Focusing on worldly things will not produce a solution.  The solution is found only at a higher level of understanding and knowledge.  Accessing the Wisdom from Above will lead us through the portal.  The world is searching for answers in the external but the answers are found in the internal.  Our spiritual eyes and ears must be fully opened to see the abundant life all around us.

The types and shadows in Scripture point to the reality of this higher realm.  Would you prefer to act out the types and shadows as the Levitical priesthood did in the Old Testament or fully experience HIS Presence in the here and now?  People continue to run to and fro looking for a formula to bring forth HIS Glory when in fact you only need to go into your prayer closet and seek, find, and open the Door.

Hebrews 11:6   But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.   NKJV

Martin Paulat had this particular vision concerning me in the late 1990’s:  I was in a jail cell that had two adjoining walls of brick and the other two walls were bars.  There was no apparent door.  I was pacing back and forth trying to figure out how to get out of the jail cell but could not find a door.  Suddenly, the door appeared among the bars and I was able to open it and left the confinement of the cell.  (End of vision)

Now is the time of the fulfillment of this vision!  Rejoice, this vision was not for me only but all who have been apprehended by HIM.

(As a side note, my wife-to-be’s phone number in 1971 had the assigned suffix of 3168.  This number happens to be the gematria (numerical value) of “Lord Jesus Christ” (800 + 888 + 1480 = 3168) and is the foundational prime number of the universe according to Bonnie Gaunt.  I had no recollection of her number and its coincidental relevance until yesterday.)

Ephesians 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ,

4 just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love,

5 having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will,

6 to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us accepted in the Beloved.

HE chose us IN HIM before the foundation of the world!  HE knew us before we were formed in the womb and predestined us to become the full expression of Christ.  We are called to become mature sons as part of HIS Body to serve all of mankind but we must open the door!  Each of us must take an action toward full maturity.  There will be no couch potatoes chosen.

Revelation 20:6  Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.

Those who are called to be Sons are to be priests who rule and reign.  A priest from Above shall be known by his Love, mercy, reconciliation, and grace.  Ruling and reigning is meant to be from an intent of Love not control.  As priests we will bring mankind to Love and peace as all see the full expression of Christ in us.  As we operate in the Seven Spirits, men will be unable to resist the Wisdom from Above and will have their eyes opened to the Love of Christ.  Mankind will be redeemed from death and destruction and will learn the ways of THE LORD.  The SONS will be the standard of the land and the lawlessness of men will be fully exposed and no longer accepted.

The desire of carnal men is to be served by all whereas the Sons will serve all.   As Paul states in Philippians 2:

3 Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself.

4 Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others.

5 Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus.

We are to put on the Mind of Christ.  Our trials and tests are designed to provide us with perspective and compassion for others.  As I have endured pain, I have compassion for others who suffer.  As I have endured loss, I have compassion for those who have lost someone dear.

How is it that we will successfully become the full expression of Christ?  By overcoming!  This is an action we must take, not a passive acceptance of something bequeathed.  We must overcome our flesh and take on HIS nature.  We must fully accept what the Holy Spirit spoke through Paul:

Galatians 2:20  “I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.”

The power and authority of Christ is resident in us waiting for us to open the door.  It is as a seed waiting to be activated for its purpose.  Until it is watered and nourished it will remain dormant.  The seed has the full expression of the tree locked up inside but it must grow and mature to fulfill its calling.  It must overcome the elements that would prevent its full expression.  It must be rooted and grounded properly in order to handle the weight, the exposure to the wind, and other elements of resistance.  As we are rooted and grounded in Love, we will be able to rise to full stature as Sons and take on the office of priests who rule and reign.

Knock, knock!

Mark 1:35   In the early morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house, and went away to a secluded place, and was praying there.  NASB

The public ministry of Jesus was an outworking of His relationship with Our Heavenly Father.  Everyone is in awe of the miracles He performed and the wisdom and understanding that proceeded our of His mouth.  Those who are called to be Sons need only to look at Jesus as their pattern for their pursuit toward Spiritual perfection.  Jesus walked in the fullness of the Holy Spirit and we should expect the same.  Yes, the fullness!

The Age of Pentecost was known for its “moves” of the Holy Spirit, paralleling the moves of the children of Israel in the wilderness.  The moves of the Spirit started as genuine moves but later the light and anointing departed and only tradition was left.  Many ended up soulishly attempting to keep the move going but without success.  Impurities and imperfections invaded the moves and men often succumbed to the love of money and fame.  They became “full of themselves”.

The fullness of the Age to come will not arrive on some designated day by historical reckoning.  I could prophesy each day of the year and ultimately claim to be correct in a prophecy.  The fullness will come to each of us in a secluded place, not a meeting or public gathering.  Yes, we may see its outworking publicly, after all, fruit is the outworking of life in the vine and the branches.

Moses was prepared for his calling while being isolated.  Jesus was prepared as He went through His daily life for 30 years, without any fanfare.  Each of us must go to that secluded place to listen.  As we do, we prepare our hearts to hear HIM.  As we respond to HIS Word and Spirit, we move toward Spiritual perfection and maturity.

Soon by all accounts, we will face our destiny with the crumbling of the world’s current, temporary systems.  Only those who have been prepared in their secluded place will be ready to minister according to Our Heavenly Father’s perfect plan, will, and purpose.  The world will be desperate for answers, not more of the same rhetoric, but for solutions from Above.  There are those who have awaken out of their slumber who are pursuing the fullness of being “IN HIM”.  They are the ones who are opening the door that Jesus knocked on.

“Not my will but YOURS FATHER!” is the cry of those who are awaken while it is still dark on the earth.  There are no distractions or noise.  There is no duty to divide your attention and focus.  Your strength will be renewed by HIS Presence and the loss of sleep will have no impact on the coming day.

Matthew 6:6  “But you, when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.  NKJV

Athletes in training spend countless hours in preparation.  Runners run and train for miles and miles in isolation before the big race.  They see the prize set before them.  We too have had our eyes opened to embrace the “prize”.

As you are awaken by HIM in the early morning, respond!  HE is calling you to spend quality time with HIM for a purpose.  As you become accustomed to responding, you are preparing yourself for ascending to HIS Ways.  This is where your high calling resides.  Are you willing to pay the price?

Isaiah 11:1 There shall come forth a Rod from the stem of Jesse,

​​And a Branch shall grow out of his roots.

2 ​​The Spirit of the LORD shall rest upon Him,

​​The Spirit of wisdom and understanding,

​​The Spirit of counsel and might,

​​The Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD.  NKJV

The seventh Spirit listed is the Spirit of the Fear of THE LORD.   The Fear of the Lord is an awareness that you are in the presence of a Holy, Just, and Almighty GOD and that HE will hold you accountable for your motives, thoughts, words, and actions. To fear GOD is to desire to live in harmony with HIS righteous standards and to honor HIM in all that you do.

The more immature the person, the less regard for others.  A baby has no regard for anyone but his own needs.  Immature sons and daughters tend to plead for their needs to be met, they are always in “petition” mode.  Only mature Sons can really embrace the Spirit of the Fear of THE LORD.  This reverence for the CREATOR of the universe is finally realized after maturing in the other six manifestations of THE SPIRIT.  Those who are blinded are unable to perceive the fullness of HIS Majesty.  They are satisfied to remain in the outer darkness, the furthest point from the Throne.

Our Heavenly Father’s wisdom, understanding, knowledge, and skill defy man’s comprehension.  Astronomers continue to discover new galaxies and solar systems in the vastness of outer space, a display of HIS handiwork.  Yet the CREATOR of all has taken a special interest in you and me.

Many fear the created vessels more than the Potter.  Why focus on those in power, those with wealth, or those with prestige?  Ultimately they will grow old and die.  None of them possess some fountain of youth to perpetuate their current position.  Yet their CREATOR hardly gets the time of day from most.  Only after an event such as 9/11 do people regain perspective about their relative position in the universe and pray for protection.  Who else could hear all the prayers around the world? 

We no longer have confidence in the flesh for it profiteth nothing!  We have turned away from things associated with the flesh and those outward acts, customs, feasts, rituals, etc.  Just as HE removed HIS Glory from the physical temple and all of its outward rituals, we too no longer regard the external.  Instead we focus on the internal.

Psalm 111:10  The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom;
A good understanding have all those who do His commandments.
His praise endures forever.

When we repent, we turn toward Our Heavenly Father and open ourselves up for correction.  HE is able to discern what is in each man’s heart and provides a customized training plan and schedule to mature us.  As we mature, our awareness of what “Almighty” really means comes into proper perspective.

The Sons must mature in order to walk and fully embrace the Seven Spirits.  No impartation will be given to the untried, untested, and unproven.  In Scripture, gold often refers to Divine nature.  Pure gold must have the dross removed and it is only accomplished by fire.  As our cleansing and purification brings us to perfection, we can truly say “As HE is, so are we”.

The sixth of the Seven Spirits is that of Knowledge.  Knowledge without the Spirit is limited in scope.  Carnal men acquire knowledge in hope of being fulfilled.  They pursue knowledge as ravenous wolves seek their prey.  Worldly knowledge is increasing at an exponential rate yet mankind continues to walk in lack, division, war, pestilence, conflict, etc.  Knowledge by itself is not the answer.  Yet when knowledge is acquired by the SPIRIT, fruitfulness occurs.  In the Pentecostal Age, the “gifts” of the SPIRIT include a word of knowledge.  This infers a limitation.  However the Spirit of Knowledge is as unfathomable as OUR FATHER.  There is knowledge beyond the intellect of man which can only be accessed by the SPIRIT and appropriately applied in response to those who are led by the SPIRIT.

What knowledge should we seek first?  The Apostle Paul shared the following in Philippians 3:

8 Yet indeed I also count all things loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as rubbish, that I may gain Christ.

We must put on the Mind of Christ for in HIM is the relevant knowledge to live by.  With the knowledge from Above we will properly perceive in response to each situation or circumstance  that presents itself to us.  We will not be caught unaware.  When you are confronted by an enemy or those who despitefully use you and persecute you, not only will you Love them but by the SPIRIT of Knowledge will you be able to properly minister to them.  No longer will you be disturbed, upset, or frustrated in your interaction with them.

Knowledge requires comprehension.  The word “comprehend” means to lay hold of so as to make’s one’s own.  Knowledge becomes integrated into you and nobody can take it from you.  When you know something, it is available to you for your use for you possess it.  When Christ dwells in us, we have the fullness of FATHER available to us.  Paul wrote in Ephesians 3:

16 that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man,

17 that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love,

18 may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height—

19 to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.

The fullness of FATHER is the treasure of all treasures.  It can only be comprehended by those rooted and grounded in Love.  Our comprehension will be impeded until we have fully embraced Love in our lives.  Knowledge will not be given to those who would misuse it for their own agenda or intent.  The SPIRIT of Knowledge will not perpetuate any direction other than that of Love.

Discovery of facts leads you to knowledge.  Knowledge properly applied leads you to Truth.  The Spirit of Knowledge will lead you into all Truth for you to use it in practical application to your calling.  Paul prayed “that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth” (1 Timothy 2-4).  As we walk in the Spirit of Knowledge, we will be fully exposed to HIS fullness, we will be able to comprehend GODLINESS, and our eyes will be fully opened.  As a result reverence for HIS majesty will be fully and completely realized for we now realize we reside on HOLY ground.  The external things of the world will no longer have appeal for the treasury of the internal will displace the former priorities.  The riches of the world will no longer be of value.  HE has made known to us the riches of HIS Glory.  Nothing else compares to this treasure.
