The Apostle Paul understood Love. He was an enemy of Christians and the Love of Our Heavenly Father transformed him into a follower of Christ. He had followed his fleshly man and had lived a life of blindness. Nevertheless, his calling remained intact. He was called to preach the Gospel. He lived all of his early life preparing for his calling but did not realize it. He thought he was called to another path. His gifts were being developed while he was yet blind. But in the end, he fulfilled his calling. The Love of Our Heavenly Father is greater than your blindness and HIS mercy endures all of your lawlessness and selfishness, also known as self preservation. It is never too late to walk out your calling, no matter what your past and present would otherwise suggest. You are one moment away from change.
The foundation of our entire existence is Love… period. GOD is Love, that is undeniable. You must take stock of your walk and assess your motives. Are you motivated by Love or by self preservation, at the expense of others. Do you exalt yourself, promote a spirit of superiority? Do you act elusive as though you have some superior position in life inaccessible to others? Do you pout when you don’t get your way? Do you demand justice when you have been wronged yet expect mercy when you screw up? Each of us must take off the blinders and look in the mirror. The division among families, friends, and others will only cease as we become rooted and grounded in Love. If Love can convert Saul to Paul, then your enemies can be converted as well.
The reality is that you need to change. I need to change. We all need to change. Our change will occur as we continue to be cleansed by HIS Word. We must dwell and meditate on HIS Love to the point where we may are filled with HIS fullness. We must ascend to HIS Love. The Good News is He is drawing us to HIM.
Paul prayed in Colossians 1:
9 For this reason we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; 10 that you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God; 11 strengthened with all might, according to His glorious power, for all patience and longsuffering with joy.
I also pray:
that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man, that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height— to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.
Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.
