Hearing GOD’S Voice: Part 10

August 23rd, 2024

It is impossible to follow THE LORD unless you hear HIS Voice!

We cannot follow Jesus by simply reading the Logos Word, we must hear the rhḗma Word that guides us daily in our speech and activities.  If two of us hear His rhḗma Word, we will be in total unity.  If 153 of us hear His rhḗma Word, all of us will be in complete unity.

The Beloved Disciple wrote by The Holy Spirit in John chapter 21:

1 After these things Jesus showed Himself again to the disciples at the Sea of Tiberias, and in this way He showed Himself:

2 Simon Peter, Thomas called the Twin, Nathanael of Cana in Galilee, the sons of Zebedee, and two others of His disciples were together.

3 Simon Peter said to them, “I am going fishing.” They said to him, “We are going with you also.” They went out and immediately got into the boat, and that night they caught nothing.

Sound familiar?

4 But when the morning had now come, Jesus stood on the shore; yet the disciples did not know that it was Jesus.

5 Then Jesus said to them, “Children, have you any food?” They answered Him, “No.”

6 And He said to them, “Cast the net on the right side of the boat, and you will find some.” So they cast, and now they were not able to draw it in because of the multitude of fish.

Supernatural power and authority will be recognized when it manifests itself.

7 Therefore that disciple whom Jesus Loved said to Peter, “It is the Lord!” Now when Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he put on his outer garment (for he had removed it), and plunged into the sea.

8 But the other disciples came in the little boat (for they were not far from land, but about two hundred cubits), dragging the net with fish.

9 Then, as soon as they had come to land, they saw a fire of coals there, and fish laid on it, and bread.

10 Jesus said to them, “Bring some of the fish which you have just caught.”

11 Simon Peter went up and dragged the net to land, full of large fish, one hundred and fifty-three; and although there were so many, the net was not broken.

12 Jesus said to them, “Come and eat breakfast.” Yet none of the disciples dared ask Him, “Who are You?”-knowing that it was the Lord.

13 Jesus then came and took the bread and gave it to them, and likewise the fish. 14 This is now the third time Jesus showed Himself to His disciples after He was raised from the dead.

After Jesus’ resurrection, there were 153 fish that willingly came into the net to be eaten.  Everything is established by two or three witnesses and the disciples saw Jesus for the third time.

The number 153 is the amount of water turned into wine:

The Beloved Disciple wrote by The Holy Spirit in John chapter 2:

1 On the third day there was a wedding in Cana of Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there.

2 Now both Jesus and His disciples were invited to the wedding.

3 And when they ran out of wine, the mother of Jesus said to Him, “They have no wine.”

4 Jesus said to her, “Woman, what does your concern have to do with Me? My hour has not yet come.”

5 His mother said to the servants, “Whatever He says to you, do it.”

6 Now there were set there six waterpots of stone, according to the manner of purification of the Jews, containing twenty or thirty gallons apiece.

7 Jesus said to them, “Fill the waterpots with water.” And they filled them up to the brim.

8 And He said to them, “Draw some out now, and take it to the master of the feast.” And they took it.

9 When the master of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine, and did not know where it came from (but the servants who had drawn the water knew), the master of the feast called the bridegroom.

10 And he said to him, “Every man at the beginning sets out the good wine, and when the guests have well drunk, then the inferior. You have kept the good wine until now!”

11 This beginning of signs Jesus did in Cana of Galilee, and manifested His glory; and His disciples believed in Him.

There are eight signs in the Gospel of John.  The first and last reference the number 153, and both were to manifest His Glory to the disciples.  All of creation will submit to the Word of GOD.

The number 153 is the numeric value of “the Sons of GOD”.  This number represents unity among those mature sons and daughters who hear GOD’S Voice and submits to HIS directives.  They are in unity with HIM and each other.  These are the ones who will establish the Kingdom of GOD on the earth.

Hearing GOD’S Voice: Part 9

August 22nd, 2024

Hearing and responding to GOD’S Voice will put you in the right place, at the right time!

Our daily prayer should include:

FATHER, I ask you to order my steps today and put me in the right place, at the right time.

The Beloved Disciple wrote by The Holy Spirit in John chapter 11:

1 Now a certain man was ill, Lazarus of Bethany, the village of Mary and her sister Martha.

2 It was Mary who anointed the Lord with ointment and wiped his feet with her hair, whose brother Lazarus was ill.

3 So the sisters sent to him, saying, “Lord, he whom you Love is ill.”

4 But when Jesus heard it he said, “This illness does not lead to death. It is for the glory of God, so that the Son of God may be glorified through it.”

Jesus heard from Heaven what was to take place and when to carry our FATHER’S instructions.  The adversary would like us to either be early or late to whatever HE has called us to do.

5 Now Jesus Loved Martha and her sister and Lazarus.

6 So, when He heard that Lazarus was ill, He stayed two days longer in the place where he was.

How many of us would be compelled by our flesh to go immediately?

7 Then after this He said to the disciples, “Let us go to Judea again.”

8 The disciples said to Him, “Rabbi, the Jews were just now seeking to stone you, and are you going there again?”

There was a plan in place to kill Jesus, yet He did not succumb to the timing of their plot.

9 Jesus answered, “Are there not twelve hours in the day? If anyone walks in the day, he does not stumble, because he sees the light of this world.

In other Words, you can go through a day without the fear of stumbling when you walk in the One Who gives light to the world.

10 But if anyone walks in the night, he stumbles, because the light is not in him.” 11 After saying these things, He said to them, “Our friend Lazarus has fallen asleep, but I go to awaken him.”

Jesus now refers to His mission and the timing of it.

12 The disciples said to Him, “Lord, if he has fallen asleep, he will recover.”

13 Now Jesus had spoken of his death, but they thought that he meant taking rest in sleep.

14 Then Jesus told them plainly, “Lazarus has died,

15 and for your sake I am glad that I was not there, so that you may believe. But let us go to him.”

Jesus was about to fully reveal the supernatural power to raise the dead even after four days in the tomb.

16 So Thomas, called the Twin, said to his fellow disciples, “Let us also go, that we may die with him.”

Yes, there was unbelief to deal with.

17 Now when Jesus came, he found that Lazarus had already been in the tomb four days.

18 Bethany was near Jerusalem, about two miles off,

19 and many of the Jews had come to Martha and Mary to console them concerning their brother.

20 So when Martha heard that Jesus was coming, she went and met him, but Mary remained seated in the house.

21 Martha said to Jesus, “Lord, if you had been here, my brother would not have died.

22 But even now I know that whatever you ask from God, God will give You.”

Martha expressed faith in Jesus whereas Thomas walked in unbelief.

23 Jesus said to her, “Your brother will rise again.”

24 Martha said to him, “I know that he will rise again in the resurrection on the last day.”

25 Jesus said to her, “I am the Resurrection and the Life. Whoever believes in Ne, though he die, yet shall he live,

Jesus finally reveals the Divine Intent of the timing and the associated revelation.

26 and everyone who lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?”

27 She said to him, “Yes, Lord; I believe that you are the Christ, the Son of God, Who is coming into the world.”

32 Now when Mary came to where Jesus was and saw Him, she fell at His Feet, saying to Him, “Lord, if You had been here, my brother would not have died.”

Mary had not heard the revelation, so her perspective was one of loss.

33 When Jesus saw her weeping, and the Jews who had come with her also weeping, He was deeply moved in His spirit and greatly troubled.

34 And He said, “Where have you laid him?” They said to Him, “Lord, come and see.”

35 Jesus wept.

36 So the Jews said, “See how He Loved him!”

37 But some of them said, “Could not He Who opened the eyes of the blind man also have kept this man from dying?”

Men will have their own opinion of how things ought to go.  They have a very limited view of Spiritual power and authority.

38 Then Jesus, deeply moved again, came to the tomb. It was a cave, and a stone lay against it.

39 Jesus said, “Take away the stone.” Martha, the sister of the dead man, said to him, “Lord, by this time there will be an odor, for he has been dead four days.” 40 Jesus said to her, “Did I not tell you that if you believed you would see the glory of God?”

Jesus reveals an important Truth to be confirmed by manifestation for all to see:

41 So they took away the stone. And Jesus lifted up His Eyes and said, “Father, I thank You that You have heard Me.

42 I knew that You always hear Me, but I said this on account of the people standing around, that they may believe that You sent Me.”

43 When He had said these things, He cried out with a loud Voice, “Lazarus, come out.”

44 The man who had died came out, his hands and feet bound with linen strips, and his face wrapped with a cloth. Jesus said to them, “Unbind him, and let him go.”

Lazarus could not be bound by death.  Jesus defied man’s timing and most of all, He revealed the revelation of being in the right place and at the right time for the anointed power and authority to operate in one’s life.

Hearing GOD’S Voice: Part 8

August 21st, 2024

Hearing GOD’S Voice includes responding to HIS timing of words and actions!

Matthew wrote by The Holy Spirit in Matthew chapter 9:

18 While Jesus was still speaking, an influential Jewish leader approached and knelt before Him, saying, “Help me! My daughter has just died. Please come and place Your Hand upon her so that she will live again.”

19 So Jesus and his disciples got up and went with him.

Being led by The Holy Spirit, Jesus proceeded.

23 When Jesus finally entered the home of the Jewish leader, He saw a noisy crowd of mourners, wailing and playing a funeral dirge on their flutes.

24 He told them, “You must leave, for the little girl is not dead; she’s only asleep.” Then everyone began to ridicule Him.

25 After He made the crowd go outside, He went into the girl’s room and gently took hold of her hand. She immediately stood to her feet!

26 And the news of this incredible miracle spread everywhere.

While on His way to the little girl, the woman with the issue of blood was healed without any direct intervention by Jesus.  Her faith in Him made her whole.  She perceived that the power to heal was on Jesus.

27 As Jesus left the house, two blind men began following him, shouting out over and over, “Son of David, show us mercy and heal us!”

Jesus did not stop to immediately heal them even though they were persistent.  It was all about timing.

28 And they followed Him right into the house where Jesus was staying. So Jesus asked them, “Do you believe that I have the power to restore sight to your eyes?” They replied, “Yes Lord, we believe!”

29 Then Jesus put His Hands over their eyes and said, “You will have what your faith expects!”

30 And instantly their eyes opened—they could see! Then Jesus warned them sternly, “Make sure that you tell no one what just happened!”

31 But unable to contain themselves, they went out and spread the news everywhere!

Luke recorded by The Holy Spirit in Luke chapter 5:

17 One day, many Jewish religious leaders known as Pharisees, along with many religious scholars, came from every village in Galilee, throughout Judea, and even from Jerusalem to hear Jesus teach. And the power of the Lord God surged through Jesus to instantly heal the sick.

Jesus perceived the anointing, surging power to heal the sick and He responded accordingly.  The Holy Spirit prepared Jesus as He saw the faith and tenacity of four men expecting Jesus to heal the paralytic man.

18 And behold, some men were bringing on a bed a man who was paralyzed, and they were seeking to bring him in and lay him before Jesus,

19 but finding no way to bring him in, because of the crowd, they went up on the roof and let him down with his bed through the tiles into the midst before Jesus.

20 And when he saw their faith, he said, “Man, your sins are forgiven you.”

Most would have assumed that Jesus would simply lay hands on the man.  Instead, The Holy Spirit addressed the core issue to be resolved.  In response, the man was healed.

21 And the scribes and the Pharisees began to question, saying, “Who is this who speaks blasphemies? Who can forgive sins but God alone?”

22 When Jesus perceived their thoughts, he answered them, “Why do you question in your hearts?

23 Which is easier, to say, ‘Your sins are forgiven you,’ or to say, ‘Rise and walk’?

Jesus revealed the Divine Intent of FATHER, forgiveness of sins and healing are related.

24 But that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins”-he said to the man who was paralyzed-“I say to you, rise, pick up your bed and go home.”

25 And immediately he rose up before them and picked up what he had been lying on and went home, glorifying God.

26 And amazement seized them all, and they glorified God and were filled with awe, saying, “We have seen extraordinary things today.”

Paul wrote by The Holy Spirit in Romans chapter 8:

14 The mature children of God are those who are moved (only) by the direction, impulses, and commands of the Holy Spirit.

What, when, where, and how.

Whatever He says, do it.  Whenever He says, do it only then.  How He says to do it, do it according to His instructions.

Hearing GOD’S Voice: Part 7

August 20th, 2024

Being led by The Holy Spirit requires commitment to hear GOD’S Voice in all areas of your life… every Word HE speaks!

Jesus spoke in Matthew chapter 4:

4 But Jesus answered and said, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every Word that proceeds from the Mouth of God.'”

Though bread would satisfy physical hunger, only the rhḗma Word of GOD will satisfy the Spirit and soul of man.

Jesus further spoke in Matthew chapter 5:

6 Blessed are those who are hungering and thirsting for righteousness, For they shall be filled.

7 Blessed are the merciful, For they shall obtain mercy.

8 Blessed are the pure in heart, For they shall see God.

9 Blessed are the peacemakers, For they shall be called Sons of God.

10 Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, For theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven.

Jesus spoke of the qualifiers to live in Holiness.  These are facets of being led by The Holy Spirit.  Jesus was full of power and authority as He was led by The Spirit into the wilderness.  He emptied Himself of physical sustenance and relied totally on Every Word coming from the Mouth of GOD.  When He spoke, His Words were directly given to Him from The Holy Spirit so that He would be the Perfect Example for us to live by.

His witness as a man subject to like passions as you and me, show us that we too can walk in total and complete Holiness.  What does it take?  To be led by The Holy Spirit in all aspects of our daily walk.  He was preparing us to receive The Holy Spirit Who was soon to come.

Jesus spoke in Luke chapter 24:

49 Behold, I send the Promise of My Father upon you; but tarry in the city of Jerusalem until you are endued with power from on High.”

To tarry is to linger, to stay longer than expected, to not have an agenda, or to encounter God’s Presence for an extended period of time.

We must empty our minds and remove all distractions of the world so that we can focus on The Spiritual realm.  I find that early morning is the ideal time for me to hear The Holy Spirit’s instructions for the day.  There is little or no noise from the world to distract my mind.  My wife, on the other hand, often hears The Holy Spirit’s instructions while water is running, whether it be in the shower or at the sink.  The common thread is some type of separation from distractions.

Jesus spoke in Acts chapter 1:

4 And while staying with them Jesus ordered them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the promise of the Father, which, He said, “you heard from Me;

5 for John baptized with water, but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.”

6 So when they had come together, they asked him, “Lord, will You at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?”

7 He said to them, “It is not for you to know times or seasons that the Father has fixed by His own authority.

8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

Have you ever spent ten consecutive days in prayer and fasting to receive power and authority from The Holy Spirit?  Effectively, this is what the disciples did.  There is a price to pay to receive power from Heaven.  It takes commitment.  Is this a formula?  By no means.  It is simply an example of their level of commitment to the Words of Jesus.

Luke recorded in Acts chapter 2:

1 When the day of Pentecost arrived, they were all together in one place.

2 And suddenly there came from Heaven a sound like a mighty rushing wind, and it filled the entire house where they were sitting.

3 And divided Tongues as of fire appeared to them and rested on each one of them. 4 And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance.

Why do people challenge the manifestation of The Holy Spirit in verse 4?  Paul spoke in Tongues more than all.  I have been praying in Tongues for over 50 years.  Why challenge a Gift from GOD?  Embrace HIS Word in all areas and you will move on to fully maturity as a Son of Daughter of GOD.  If you reject any aspect of HIS written Word, how can you expect to hear GOD’S Voice in all aspects of HIS leading?

Hearing GOD’S Voice: Part 6

August 19th, 2024

Reading the Bible by Itself does not bring forth unity among believers!

It is estimated that there are more than 45,000 denominations globally. Followers of Jesus span the globe. But the global body of more than 2 billion Christians is separated into thousands of denominations. Pentecostal, Presbyterian, Lutheran, Baptist, Apostolic, Methodist — the list goes on.

If they all have Bibles, why aren’t the 2 billion Christians in unity?  Words written on white pages are not sufficient to bring forth unity in THE SPIRIT.

Jesus spoke in John chapter 10:

27 My sheep hear My Voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.

There are three qualifiers of true believers mentioned by Jesus:

They hear His Voice

Jesus knows, recognizes, and acknowledges them

They follow/obey Him

Jesus did not say that reading Scripture would qualify you as sheep.  The Pharisees knew the Scripture but could not hear Jesus.  Sheep will only respond to One Voice and no other!  Understanding this Truth is vital to our future.

Jesus spoke in Matthew chapter 25:

31 “When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the Holy angels with Him, then He will sit on the Throne of His glory.

32 All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats.

33 And He will set the sheep on His Right Hand, but the goats on the left.

34 Then the King will say to those on His Right Hand, ‘Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the Kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:

35 for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in;

36 I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.’

Jesus gave us qualifiers that identified His true sheep.  He listed some of their actions that resulted from hearing His Voice.

37 “Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You drink?

38 When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You?

39 Or when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’

40 And the King will answer and say to them, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.’

We must keep our hearing sensitive to this expectation that Jesus shared.

41 “Then He will also say to those on the Left Hand, ‘Depart from Me, you cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels:

42 for I was hungry and you gave Me no food; I was thirsty and you gave Me no drink;

43 I was a stranger and you did not take Me in, naked and you did not clothe Me, sick and in prison and you did not visit Me.’

Those who are greedy and self-centered are classified as goats.  Goats cannot be led by a shepherd.  They are stubborn.

44 “Then they also will answer Him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not minister to You?’ 45 Then He will answer them, saying, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to Me.’

46 And these will go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”

Each of us must critically assess where we stand in responding to The Holy Spirit.  Reading the Bible without hearing The Holy Spirit is not the answer.  The prophets had to hear The Word in order to carry out their mission.  We do too!

Those who develop their ability to hear what The Holy Spirit is directing, will come into unity with other believers.  They will all walk in Holiness.

Hearing GOD’S Voice: Part 5

August 18th, 2024

Reading the Bible is not the same as Hearing GOD’S Voice!

Jesus spoke in Matthew chapter 11:

11 “Assuredly, I say to you, among those born of women there has not risen one greater than John the Baptist; but he who is least in the Kingdom of Heaven is greater than he.

12 And from the days of John the Baptist until now the Kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force.

13 For all the prophets and the law prophesied until John.

14 And if you are willing to receive it, he is Elijah who is to come.

15 He who has ears to hear, let him hear!

And Jesus spoke again in Matthew chapter 13:

3 Then He spoke many things to them in parables, saying: “Behold, a sower went out to sow.

4 And as he sowed, some seed fell by the wayside; and the birds came and devoured them.

5 Some fell on stony places, where they did not have much earth; and they immediately sprang up because they had no depth of earth.

6 But when the sun was up they were scorched, and because they had no root they withered away.

7 And some fell among thorns, and the thorns sprang up and choked them.

8 But others fell on good ground and yielded a crop: some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.

9 He who has ears to hear, let him hear!”

Jesus was speaking but people were not truly listening and responding to His Message.

10 And the disciples came and said to Him, “Why do You speak to them in parables?”

11 He answered and said to them, “Because it has been given to you to know the mysteries of the Kingdom of heaven, but to them it has not been given.

12 For whoever has, to him more will be given, and he will have abundance; but whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him.

Hearing begets greater revelation by further hearing.

13 Therefore I speak to them in parables, because seeing they do not see, and hearing they do not hear, nor do they understand.

14 And in them the prophecy of Isaiah is fulfilled, which says: ‘Hearing you will hear and shall not understand, And seeing you will see and not perceive;

15 For the hearts of this people have grown dull. Their ears are hard of hearing, And their eyes they have closed, Lest they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, Lest they should understand with their hearts and turn, So that I should heal them.’

16 But blessed are your eyes for they see, and your ears for they hear;

17 for assuredly, I say to you that many prophets and righteous men desired to see what you see, and did not see it, and to hear what you hear, and did not hear it.

In the third dispensation of The Gospel, it is all about hearing and seeing.  The Jews had problems hearing because of their dull hearts.

Paul too experienced this very issue as he recorded by The Holy Spirit in Acts 28:

23 So they set a time to meet with Paul. On that day an even greater crowd gathered where he was staying. From morning until evening Paul taught them, opening up the Truths of God’s Kingdom. With convincing arguments from both the Law and the Prophets, he tried to persuade them about Jesus.

24 Some were converted, but others refused to believe. They argued back and forth,

25 still unable to agree among themselves. They were about to leave when Paul made one last statement to them: “The Holy Spirit stated it well when He spoke to your ancestors through the prophet Isaiah:

26 ‘I send you to this people to say to them, “You will keep learning, but not understanding. You will keep staring at Truth but not perceiving it.

27 For your hearts are hard and insensitive to Me—you must be hard of hearing! For you’ve closed your eyes so that you won’t be troubled by the Truth, and you’ve covered your ears so that you won’t have to listen and be pierced by what I say. For then you would have to respond and repent, so that I could heal your hearts.” ’

28-29 “So listen well. This wonderful salvation given by God is now being presented to the non-Jewish nations, and they will believe and receive it!”

You become dull of hearing when you refuse to believe the Truth when It is set before your very eyes.  Refusing to believe the Truth makes you blind to all Truth.

We are to hear Truth from FATHER and HE will always confirm what HE has spoken to you by HIS written Word.  If you rely solely on The written Word, you will miss the point of personally hearing GOD’S Voice.

Hearing GOD’S Voice: Part 4

August 17th, 2024

Obey My Voice and I will be Your GOD!

It is recorded by THE SPIRIT in Jeremiah chapter 7:

23 But this is what I commanded them, saying, ‘Obey My voice, and I will be Your God, and you shall be My people. And walk in all the ways that I have commanded you, that it may be well with you.’

Can it get any simpler than that?

24 Yet they did not obey or incline their ear, but followed the counsels and the dictates of their evil hearts, and went backward and not forward.

If you feel like you are not progressing, consider the above verses.  You may not be adequately hearing FATHER’S Voice.  The essence of Israel’s problems was that they hearkened not to the Voice of THE LORD.

I have gone off course many times in my life and it necessitated me to stop, repent, and listen to what FATHER wanted to tell me.  I needed a course correction, and HE provided it.

Your progress is totally dependent on who and what you listen to and respond to in your daily life.  If you have the TV or radio blaring, it will be difficult to hear The Holy Spirit in that still, small Voice.  I used to enjoy loud music but now I don’t.  I am providing a better environment to hear HIS Voice and obey It.

The one essential requirement to be blessed is to hear and obey HIS Voice.  Every writing that I post is a result of being led by The Holy Spirit.  I could not write to you and be of any assistance other than hearing His Voice and responding with appropriate Scripture.  I am simply not that good at writing without His intervention and direction.  After I pray first thing each morning, He provides details of what to write and what to exclude.  I benefit first by these writings myself!

Jesus emphasized hearing and obeying when He spoke in John chapter 10:

1 “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who does not enter the sheepfold by the door, but climbs up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber.

2 But he who enters by the door is the Shepherd of the sheep.

3 To Him the doorkeeper opens, and the sheep hear His Voice; and He calls His own sheep by name and leads them out.

4 And when He brings out His own sheep, He goes before them; and the sheep follow Him, for they know His Voice.

5 Yet they will by no means follow a stranger, but will flee from him, for they do not know the voice of strangers.”

6 Jesus used this illustration, but they did not understand the things which He spoke to them.

7 Then Jesus said to them again, “Most assuredly, I say to you, I am the Door of the sheep.

8 All who ever came before Me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not hear them.

9 I am the Door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture.

10 The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have Life, and that they may have it more abundantly.

Do you want to follow life and its abundance?  You must hear and obey His Voice.  Jesus will never lead His sheep astray and they will pay attention to His Voice and no other.

Sermons emphasize John 10:10 but need to qualify the expectation of success by hearing and obeying HIS Voice.  Otherwise, they subject themselves to the stranger who steals, kills, and destroys.  The sheep will not pay attention to false teachers or anyone who promotes another “gospel”.

27 My sheep hear My Voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.

There are three qualifiers of true believers mentioned by Jesus:

They hear His Voice

Jesus knows, recognizes, and acknowledges them

They follow/obey Him

Hearing GOD’S Voice: Part 3

August 16th, 2024

Our daily priority should be to hear GOD’S Voice, including HIS warnings and corrections!

It is as important to hear FATHER’S corrections as it is to hear any other commands that result in blessings.  If we are being led astray by the subtleties of adversaries and unknowingly embraces lies, we need to repent and carry out corrective actions.

Paul wrote by The Holy Spirit in 1st Corinthians chapter 4:

14 I do not write these things to make you ashamed, but to admonish (correct) you as my beloved children.

15 For though you have countless guides in Christ, you do not have many fathers. For I became your father in Christ Jesus through the Gospel.

16 I urge you, then, be imitators of me.

17 That is why I sent you Timothy, my beloved and faithful child in the Lord, to remind you of my ways in Christ, as I teach them everywhere in every church.

18 Some are arrogant, as though I were not coming to you.

19 But I will come to you soon, if the Lord wills, and I will find out not the talk of these arrogant people but their power.

20 For the Kingdom of God does not consist in talk but in power.

A father is called to correct his children when necessary.

Paul also wrote by The Holy Spirit in 2nd Timothy chapter 3:

16 All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness,

17 that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.

If we were perfect, we would not need correction.  A Loving FATHER corrects His Sons and Daughters so they will be equipped for every good work.  Embrace correction!

It is recorded by THE SPIRIT in Jeremiah chapter 7:

1 This is the message that YAHWEH gave to Jeremiah.

2 “Go stand at the gate of YAHWEH’s house and proclaim this word: ‘Hear this word from YAHWEH, all you people of Judah who come through these gates to worship Him.

3 Here’s what the God of Israel, YAHWEH, Commander of Angel Armies, says: Change your ways and start living right, and I will let you dwell in this land.

4 Don’t fool yourselves by trusting the deceptive words, saying: “The temple of YAHWEH is here, the temple of YAHWEH is here, the temple of YAHWEH is here, so we are safe.”

5 For if you truly change your ways and start living right, if you deal justly with one another,

6 if you don’t mistreat the foreigner, the orphan, and the widow, if you don’t shed innocent blood in this land, if you stop your self-destructive ways of chasing after other gods,

7]then I will let you dwell in this place, here in the land that I gave to your forefathers for all time.

The Israelites were trusting deceptive words and FATHER had to send many prophets to correct them.

8 “ ‘Look, you keep putting your trust in worthless lies.

9 You think you can steal and murder, commit adultery and perjury, burn incense to Baal, and go after other gods that you have not known,

10 and then come and stand in My Presence? You think you can come into this house called by My Name and say, “We are safe!”—only to keep doing all these disgusting things?

11 Do you really consider this house that bears My Name to be a robbers’ den? I know everything that you have been doing! I, YAHWEH, have spoken.

Why do people pursue the opinions and subtle lies spewed out by the world’s representatives?  They have proven themselves gullible to the persistent falsehoods spread by the vessels of dishonor.  It is clearly a “psyop” strategy of the adversary.

23 Rather, I commanded them: “Listen to My Voice, and I will be your God, and you will be My people. Live your lives according to what I command you that all may go well with you.”

24 But they did not listen or obey. They followed their own stubborn plans of their evil hearts. They disrespected Me and went backward, not forward.

25 From the day that I led your ancestors out of Egypt until now, I have persistently sent you My servants the prophets,

26 but My people did not listen to Me or obey; rather, they stubbornly did more evil than their fathers.’

Whose words are you going to place your trust in?  The words that appeal to your soul and/or flesh, or are you going to place your trust in FATHER, even when His Words of correction may be painful or inconvenient?

Hearing GOD’S Voice: Part 2

August 15th, 2024

Our daily priority should be to hear GOD’S Voice!

As a devoted believer walking in Holiness, there was an unvarying requirement that is consistent throughout Scripture: the requirement to hear GOD’S Voice.

Moses wrote by THE SPIRIT in Exodus chapter 15:

26 and said, “If you diligently heed the Voice of the LORD your God and do what is right in His Sight, give ear to His Commandments and keep all His Statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you which I have brought on the Egyptians. For I am the LORD Who heals you (Jehovah Rapha).”

The Hebrew says: if you will listen, listening.  We are to use both ears without distractions.  If Israel obeyed, they would never be sick.  FATHER would take on full responsibility to keep everyone in Israel healthy, no exceptions.  Think about it!  What would happen if we who are devoted believers, fully embraced this revelation and expectation?  No more medical bills!

Everywhere where GOD speaks to us about healing, the emphasis is on what we listen to.  Those of us who will hearken diligently to HIS Voice, will be free of sickness and disease.

And in Exodus 19:

3 And Moses went up to God, and the LORD called to him from the mountain, saying, “Thus you shall say to the house of Jacob, and tell the children of Israel:

4 ‘You have seen what I did to the Egyptians, and how I bore you on eagles’ wings and brought you to Myself.

5 Now therefore, if you will indeed obey My voice and keep My covenant, then you shall be a special treasure to Me above all people; for all the earth is Mine.

6 And you shall be to Me a Kingdom of priests and a Holy nation.’ These are the Words which you shall speak to the children of Israel.”

In order to walk in mature Holiness, we must hear HIS Voice and carry out HIS commands.  How can we expect to walk in Holiness without hearing HIS Voice?

First, GOD brought Israel to HIMSELF, the primary purpose of redemption.  Secondly, HE wanted them to obey HIS Voice so that they would be living at a higher level of provision and blessing unknown to other people.  Third, they were to keep HIS Covenant which finalizes their relationship with HIM.  Forth, they would be a Kingdom of priests and a Holy nation.  This is true for us as well.  FATHER’S Word and Divine Intent do not change with time.

And Moses recorded by THE SPIRIT in Deuteronomy chapter 28:

1 “Now it shall come to pass, if you diligently obey the Voice of the LORD your God, to observe carefully all His commandments which I command you today, that the LORD your God will set you high above all nations of the earth.

2 And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, because you obey the Voice of the LORD your God:

15 “But it shall come to pass, if you do not obey the Voice of the LORD your God, to observe carefully all His commandments and His statutes which I command you today, that all these curses will come upon you and overtake you:

This chapter sets out two different things that could come upon Israel: blessings of obedience, or the curses of disobedience, depending on their response.  In each case, it is determined by whether or not they hear GOD’S Voice.  It begins and ends with diligently listening to GOD’S Voice.

If we diligently listen to GOD’S Voice, all the blessings in verses 3 through 14 will apply to us.
