Fear of THE LORD: Part 3

The Fear of GOD is awe and reverence toward GOD, the Creator of Heaven and earth and there is nothing commonplace about being in HIS Presence and reverencing HIS Name above all.

HE is our Source of life and all its benefits so we should never take our relationship with Our Heavenly Father lightly.  It should be at the forefront of our consciousness every day.  The adversary’s goal is to get us to focus on anything else.  Why?  When we walk in the Fear of THE LORD, we begin taking real estate from the devil and establish the Kingdom of GOD on earth.

As Mary said in her song in Luke chapter 1:

51 Mighty power flows from Him

to scatter all those who walk in pride.

52 Powerful princes He tears from their thrones

and he lifts up the lowly to take their place.

Power and authority over the earth flowed from Jesus and It is meant to flow through us for the same purposes mentioned above.

FATHER spoke in Exodus chapter 20:

6 but I show mercy to thousands, to those who Love ME and keep MY commandments.

And Luke recorded by The Holy Spirit in Luke chapter 1:

50 And HIS mercy is on those who fear HIM

From generation to generation.

This Fear of THE LORD and Love are used interchangeably.  If we truly Love FATHER, we will treat HIM with reverence, honor HIM, and be in awe of HIM!

It is written by The Holy Spirit in Leviticus chapter 19:

32 ‘You shall rise before the gray headed and honor the presence of an old man, and Fear your GOD: I am THE LORD.’

We are to respect and honor the “gray headed” old man.  As society has lost the Fear of THE LORD so have the failed to respect those who are in this classification.  They may have revelation and experience that would benefit the young and inexperienced who often think they already know everything though they often lack Wisdom and understanding.  There is a rebellion toward authority and this is a warning against rebellion.

Paul wrote by The Holy Spirit in Colossians chapter 3:

22b For we are to live our lives with pure hearts in the constant awe and wonder of Our Lord God.

23 Put your heart and soul into every activity you do, as though you are doing it for the Lord Himself and not merely for others.

24 For we know that we will receive a reward, an inheritance from THE LORD, as we serve the Lord Yahweh, the Anointed One! 25 A disciple will be repaid for what he has learned and followed, for GOD pays no attention to the titles or prestige of men.

As we fully walk in the Fear of THE LORD, we will walk with pure hearts of Agape Love toward others.  We will receive a reward and an everlasting inheritance from Our Beloved Father.  What more could one ask for in this life?

Paul also wrote by The Holy Spirit in Romans chapter 13:

1 Every person must submit to and support the authorities over him. For there can be no authority in the universe except by God’s appointment, which means that every authority that exists has been instituted by God. 2 So to resist authority is to resist the Divine order of God, which results in severe consequences. 3 For civil authorities don’t intimidate those who are doing good, but those who are doing evil. So do what is right and you’ll never need to fear those in authority. They will commend you for your good citizenship.

4 Those in authority are God’s servants for the good of society. But if you break the law, you have reason to be alarmed, for they are God’s agents of punishment to bring criminals to justice. Why do you think they carry weapons? 5 You are compelled to obey them, not just to avoid punishment, but because you want to live with a clean conscience.

6 This is also the reason you pay your taxes, for governmental authorities are God’s officials who oversee these things. 7 So it is your duty to pay all the taxes and fees that they require and to respect those who are worthy of respect, honoring them accordingly.

8 Don’t owe anything to anyone, except your outstanding debt to continually Love one another, for the one who learns to Love has fulfilled every requirement of the law.

FATHER knows what HE is doing when HE places certain people in authority.  HE has a plan and those who are in authority will often carry out HIS plan without realizing it.  They might evoke judgment on a rebellious nation who supports killing babies whom FATHER put in the womb with specific assignments know as their destiny.

FATHER has the big picture and we only have a glimpse of it.  Let us not allow ourselves to judge election results but instead know that FATHER’S plan will be carried out in a timely and effective manner.  In the meantime, simply be led by The Holy Spirit in all areas and remain in the Fear of THE LORD.

When we pay our tithes we confirm that we FEAR THE LORD.  HE clearly established the tithe before the Law was even given.  Why?  The tithe establishes ownership of WHO all things belong.

In Genesis chapter 28, Jacob’s Vow to FATHER is recorded by The Holy Spirit after Jacob had his Heavenly encounter at Bethel:

10 Now Jacob went out from Beersheba and went toward Haran. 11 So he came to a certain place and stayed there all night, because the sun had set. And he took one of the stones of that place and put it at his head, and he lay down in that place to sleep. 12 Then he dreamed, and behold, a ladder was set up on the earth, and its top reached to heaven; and there the angels of God were ascending and descending on it.

13 And behold, the LORD stood above it and said: “I am the LORD God of Abraham your father and the God of Isaac; the land on which you lie I will give to you and your descendants. 14 Also your descendants shall be as the dust of the earth; you shall spread abroad to the west and the east, to the north and the south; and in you and in your seed all the families of the earth shall be blessed. 15 Behold, I am with you and will keep you wherever you go, and will bring you back to this land; for I will not leave you until I have done what I have spoken to you.”

16 Then Jacob awoke from his sleep and said, “Surely the LORD is in this place, and I did not know it.” 17 And he was afraid and said, “How awesome is this place! This is none other than the House of God, and this is the gate of Heaven!”

18 Then Jacob rose early in the morning, and took the stone that he had put at his head, set it up as a pillar, and poured oil on top of it. 19 And he called the name of that place Bethel; but the name of that city had been Luz previously. 20 Then Jacob made a vow, saying, “If GOD will be with me, and keep me in this way that I am going, and give me bread to eat and clothing to put on, 21 so that I come back to my father’s house in peace, then the LORD shall be my GOD. 22 And this stone which I have set as a pillar shall be God’s house, and of all that You give me I will surely give a tenth to You.

Jacob discovered the Fear of THE LORD and was in awe of THE LORD.  He immediately reverenced FATHER and the place of his encounter.  In immediate response to his Covenant with FATHER establishing their relationship, Jacob committed to tithing all.
