Melchizedek’s Blessing

THE SPIRIT wrote in Hebrews chapter 7:

1 For this Melchizedek, king of Salem, priest of the Most High God, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings and blessed him,

2 to whom also Abraham gave a tenth part of all, first being translated “king of righteousness,” and then also king of Salem, meaning “king of peace,”

3 without father, without mother, without genealogy, having neither beginning of days nor end of life, but made like the Son of God, remains a priest continually.

The Holy Spirit provides us the meaning of Melchizedek’s name as being the King of righteousness and peace thus we do not have to do some exhaustive word search. In addition His genealogy does not restrict the blessings of His priesthood.  Whether you were born Jew or Gentile it matters not to the blessings to be derived from Melchizedek.

In John chapter 18 when Jesus was betrayed in the garden, Malchus who is the servant of the Jewish High Priest had his ear cut off by Peter:

10 Then Simon Peter, having a sword, drew it and struck the high priest’s servant, and cut off his right ear. The servant’s name was Malchus.

The name Malchus means "king or kingdom" (Hebrew: Melech) which is a metaphor of the ability to hear about the Kingdom of GOD was cut off yet Jesus immediately restored the ability to hear by healing Malchus as mentioned in Luke chapter 22:

50 And one of them struck the servant of the high priest and cut off his right ear.

51 But Jesus answered and said, “Permit even this.” And He touched his ear and healed him.

It is FATHER’S will as shown by the actions of His first begotten Son that we are able to hear and not be cut off from the HIS Kingdom yet the Jewish nation has yet to fully hear about the Kingdom.  Prophetically, they will have their hearing restored by Jesus Christ and the Sons of GOD at some point in the future.  Love desires for all to have ears to hear.

In Matthew chapter 13, Jesus explained the parable of the tares:

41 The Son of Man will send out His angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom all things that offend, and those who practice lawlessness,

42 and will cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth.

43 Then the righteous will shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears to hear, let him hear!

As we align ourselves with Melchizedek (Jesus Christ, the King of peace and righteous) we will shine forth as bright lights.  We are able to receive this revelation for we have ears to hear because Jesus has restored our hearing as well as our sight.  As we partake of Holy Communion and consider it as Sacred and Holy and not as a custom or duty established by the church, we are able to better hear and receive revelation of the Kingdom.

In Hebrews chapter 7:

7 Now beyond all contradiction the lesser is blessed by the better.

8 Here mortal men receive tithes, but there he receives them, of whom it is witnessed that he lives.

9 Even Levi, who receives tithes, paid tithes through Abraham, so to speak,

10 for he was still in the loins of his father when Melchizedek met him.

This statement clearly establishes that FATHER is the ONE WHO blesses the tither.  Giving the tithe is the lesser act whereas the blessings received by FATHER are far greater.  This is what unconditional Love does.  Those who do not have the revelation of tithing miss out on this aspect of FATHER’S blessing.  The tithe must be given with the proper intent (revelation) for it to bring forth the Intent of FATHER.  It is not a “system” to work but a walk and act of righteousness which FATHER acknowledges.  As we take Holy Communion in the proper manner and give of ourselves out of Love, we are able to receive Melchizedek’s blessing which is far greater than anything we have to give.
