Melchizedek’s Communion

It is written by THE SPIRIT in Genesis chapter 14:

18 Then Melchizedek king of Salem brought out bread and wine; he was the priest of God Most High.

19 And he blessed him and said:

“Blessed be Abram of God Most High,

Possessor of heaven and earth;

20 And blessed be God Most High,

Who has delivered your enemies into your hand.”

And he gave him a tithe of all.

This recorded communion occurred about 430 years before the Law was given.  Notice that Melchizedek spoke blessing both to Abraham and MOST HIGH GOD and within this blessing there were no curses mentioned at all.  FATHER is given full credit for delivering Abraham’s enemies into his hand.  What is your enemy?  An enemy is anyone or anything hostile to our calling.  Sickness and death both come to mind for both impede our ministry and service to others.

In Psalm 110 it is written by THE SPIRIT:

1 The LORD said to my Lord, “Sit at My right hand, Till I make Your enemies Your footstool.”

2 The LORD shall send the rod of Your strength out of Zion. Rule in the midst of Your enemies!

3 Your people shall be volunteers In the day of Your power; In the beauties of holiness, from the womb of the morning, You have the dew of Your youth.

4 The LORD has sworn And will not relent, “You are a priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek.”

Jesus is clearly our High Priest Who blesses us as we take Holy Communion with Him.  Notice that FATHER is more than willing to deal with our enemies on our behalf for we too are Sons and Daughters.  Melchizedek is mentioned again in Hebrews beginning in chapter 5:

9 And having been perfected, He (Jesus Christ) became the author of eternal salvation to all who obey Him,

10 called by God as High Priest “according to the order of Melchizedek,”

11 of whom we have much to say, and hard to explain, since you have become dull of hearing.

Let us open our hearts and our ears to the importance of Communion first mentioned in Genesis.  The writer mentions the lack of understanding about the importance of this Holy Priesthood and its benefits.  If we do not understand the benefits of Communion then we are weak in that area of our life.  Our faith will be weak and the benefits derived from Communion will be impacted.  The Truth contained in Melchizedek is not received by everyone but we will not be denied as we seek out this Truth.  FATHER wants us to receive benefit from Communion.

Tithing is not for everybody and should not be done out of obligation or fear.  It should only be done by revelation.  Tithing came before the Law thus there is no rule requiring us to tithe.  As we understand the blessings of Melchizedek then we begin to get revelation about tithing as well just as Abraham did during his encounter.  In tithing, 1/10 represents “all”.

In Hebrews chapter 6:

13 For when God made a promise to Abraham, because He could swear by no one greater, He swore by Himself,

14 saying, “Surely blessing I will bless you, and multiplying I will multiply you.”

15 And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise.

16 For men indeed swear by the greater, and an oath for confirmation is for them an end of all dispute.

17 Thus God, determining to show more abundantly to the heirs of promise the immutability of His counsel, confirmed it by an oath,

18 that by two immutable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we might have strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold of the hope set before us.

19 This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which enters the Presence behind the veil,

20 where the forerunner has entered for us, even Jesus, having become High Priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek (King of Righteousness).

As we give unto the King of Righteousness, that is to say Jesus Christ, we endure patiently to obtain the promise of the blessings associated with FATHER’S oath to bless.  The blessings will come in various forms so we should simply and patiently walk by THE SPIRIT and be thankful as these blessings manifest in our lives.  The blessings are not restricted to any one area even though many focus on the financial aspect.  Healing, restorations, and other areas will also be blessed.  All aspects of life are subject to blessing and restoration as we take Holy Communion lifting up Jesus Christ and expressing our faith to be one with Him and allowing His righteousness to permeate every aspect of our being.
