The Emphatic Statement

In Matthew 28 Jesus spoke:

18 And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority (and power) has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.”

If there is any emphatic statement we should rely on it is this one spoken by Jesus.  Have we been lulled into thinking that power and authority simply rests with a small group of elite men who have an agenda of their own without regard to FATHER’S Divine Will and Purpose?  I Think not.

As long as we submit to man’s will rather than FATHER’s, the wicked one will remain as one with derived, assigned power by us.  This is why FATHER is speaking each day to us to move toward full maturity so that we can walk in and be led by HIS SPIRIT to overcome the plan of the wicked one.

The number of demons did not matter to Jesus when He confronted the man in Mark chapter 5:

When he saw Jesus from afar, he ran and worshiped Him.
And he cried out with a loud voice and said, “What have I to do with You, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? I implore You by God that You do not torment me.”

For He said to him, “Come out of the man, unclean spirit!”
Then He asked him, “What is your name?”

And he answered, saying, “My name is Legion; for we are many.”
10 Also he begged Him earnestly that He would not send them out of the country.

11 Now a large herd of swine was feeding there near the mountains.
12 So all the demons begged Him, saying, “Send us to the swine, that we may enter them.”
13 And at once Jesus gave them permission. Then the unclean spirits went out and entered the swine (there were about two thousand); and the herd ran violently down the steep place into the sea, and drowned in the sea.
Demons are spiritual entities who want bodies to express themselves.  Many had taken up residence in this one man but Jesus was not moved by their intent.  They knew Him and knew His power and authority.  Jesus did not hesitate to cast out these demons and did so without some big prayer campaign to lengthy procedure.  Shouldn’t we come to expect the same as we walk in His power and authority?  Let us set aside the excuses and man’s reasoning and grow closer to FATHER so that we too can minister in like manner.  Let us no longer settle for the diluted version of the Gospel which has been interpreted by man’s own weaknesses in order to justify his current state.  Jesus is our example and none else.
