The Abundant Life

The written word does not express the intensity of what I want to convey.  Let the Holy Spirit minister the fullness of life in these Words that Jesus spoke:

In John chapter 10:

7 Then Jesus said to them again, “Most assuredly, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep.

8 All who ever came before Me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not hear them.

9 I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture.

10 The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.

Who else could make such a proclamation?  Only Jesus Whom FATHER sent could make such a claim.  Why do we focus on the temporal when our future lies with the Words of Jesus?  Who cares what the world thinks and propagates through the air waves?  There is only one answer and one door to the fullness of life and Jesus came to show us that door.

Let us highly esteem the Words of Jesus above all else and let no other path be tempting for it will only lead to sorrow, destruction, and ultimately death.  As we take on this Life Jesus urges us to choose, we will then experience the Love and peace He walked in.  Materialism will no longer be a temptation once we embrace Life.  The quest for comfort will be fulfilled by the Comforter, the Holy Spirit.

Stop!  Take time to consider these words and ask yourself if you have truly focused and highly esteemed the Words of the Son of THE MOST HIGH GOD or do you treat them in a lesser manner?   If FATHER took the time and effort to send HIS Son with the answers to life, why don’t we embrace them to the same degree?

People want abundance in their life and many will work night and day to achieve abundance.  Once achieved they will hoard their resources as though FATHER is limited in what HE can provide.  Where is their faith? The disciples could not cast a demon out of a young boy.  The son’s father had asked the disciples to heal him but they were unable so he approached Jesus Who then cast out the demon.  In Matthew chapter 17 Jesus responded to their inability to heal the boy:

20 So Jesus said to them, “Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.

21 However, this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting.”

In this very same event found in Luke 9, Jesus spoke:

41 Then Jesus answered and said, “O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you and bear with you? Bring your son here.”

We must focus our attention on maturing in our relationship with FATHER which will allow our faith to increase.  As we hear HIS Word faith comes.  Jesus called His disciples a “faithless and perverse” generation.  What would He call this generation we are in?  The word “perverse” means” to distort, turn aside, to oppose; plot against the saving purposes and plans of God; to turn aside from the right path, to pervert, corrupt.  Our path should contain life-producing fruit.  Each of us should press in and focus on the Words of Jesus for they should be the emphasis and basis of our life.

Let us not pervert the priorities in our life anymore.  Let us return to the simplicity of Christ and pursue the fullness of a relationship with FATHER.  It is time for a “reset” for it is never too late to return to that narrow path.  Some wandered away from the path only to find the alternatives brought forth an emptiness and were unable to fill the void.  People are looking for comfort in drugs, alcohol, sex, and anything else that might provide at least a temporary escape from their problems.  The reality is those areas of temporary comfort are “perverse” when considering what Jesus represents- abundant life.  Mary, the mother of Jesus, said it best in John chapter 2:

5 His mother said to the servants, “Whatever He says to you, do it.
