Our Purification

The Beloved Disciple wrote by THE SPIRIT in 1 John chapter 3:

1 Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God! Therefore the world does not know us, because it did not know Him.

2 Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is.

3 And everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure.

I am convinced that those who consistently read the postings on this site understand that we are the Sons and Daughters of Our Heavenly Father.  These writings are intended to increase our maturity and revelation in Agape Love.  I press in daily myself toward the full maturity FATHER has shown me which is available to those are willing to truly abide in Christ Jesus.

The world does not know you and me according to our spiritual walk because they don’t know Our Heavenly Father.  They have accepted the world’s ways and do not realize that their path does not lead to eternal life but rather it leads to death and destruction.  I believe that after they physically die, they will be corrected and they will ultimately bow their knee and proclaim Jesus Christ as Lord and the Son of GOD.

We must continue to press in based on the hope FATHER has expressed to us and purify ourselves with The Word.  This is why every posting includes The Word which FATHER gives me prior to writing to my Beloved Brothers and Sisters.

Jesus perfected the covenant we have with FATHER so I believe we must keep our focus on His teachings and those which specifically refer to the New Covenant.  As my friend Alan has conveyed, “The Old Testament contains metaphors and examples which point to the Truths in the New Testament.”

Many teachers focus on dates, times, and seasons… I don’t.  Why?  I prefer to focus on the “now” because that is where you and I live daily.  If we focus too much on the external, we tend to deemphasize the need to purify ourselves.  This purification process must be our priority on a daily basis.  Do you really think that FATHER is going to suddenly empower on the 8th day of Tabernacles if you have not focused on purifying yourself and “die daily” to the flesh?

Do you think that if you don’t walk in unconditional Love today that FATHER is going to raise you up and have you rule and reign at some specific feast day in the future?

What is the essence of the parable of the ten virgins?  Isn’t it to become pure and maintain that purity by being led by The Holy Spirit and keeping our lamps trimmed with the oil?

7 Little children, let no one deceive you. He who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous.

8 He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil.

We are explicitly told to practice righteousness on a daily basis.  We are told to purify ourselves and this too is a daily activity.  Let us not allow sin to be found among us for this indicates that the devil is still being effective in our lives.

Jesus’ specific purpose is to destroy the works of the devil and that should be our purpose as well.  How we do this?  By maturing into full purity, by being cleansed by The Word, and being led by The Holy Spirit.  Some might say, “I don’t know if I can do this?”  I assure you that if it was not realistic to pursue, FATHER would not urge us to take on such a path.

I look back on my life and frankly I am appalled at my impurities and selfish acts over the years.  How could I ever expect to become pure?  By HIS great grace and mercy in my life.  FATHER has provided us with examples such as Paul and Peter to show us how we are able to set aside the past by receiving the fullness of HIS unconditional Love.  Let us accept the fullness of the ministry of Jesus Christ.  Let us honor Him by focusing on our own purification so that we can fully function as mature Sons and Daughters.
