To be carnally minded is death, but to be Spiritually minded is life and peace. How simple is the decision to choose which mind-set to pursue and walk in!
Jesus spoke in John chapter 6:
63 “The Holy Spirit is the One Who gives Life, that which is of the natural realm is of no help. The Words I speak to you are Spirit and Life. But there are still some of you who won’t believe.”
Jesus Himself explains the value of being led by The Holy Spirit for He is the One Who gives Life. He also shows us the importance of focusing on His Words in the Gospels. Anyone who spends more time in the Old Testament misses the opportunity to mature in Spirit and Life. Old Testament stories have a “conditional” aspect whereas the New Testament replaces the conditional with unconditional Love and Intent.
Jesus also warns us that unbelief will keep us from walking in THE SPIRIT and Life. We can choose to walk in unbelief which is the essence of being carnally minded. We should be dominated by what The Word says rather than what our physical senses say. The physical is temporary and subject to change. In contrast, The Word does not change.
Perfect peace comes to those who focus on The Word no matter what circumstances arise.
Paul wrote by The Holy Spirit in Galatians chapter 5:
22 But the fruit produced by the Holy Spirit within you is Divine Love in all Its varied expressions:
joy that overflows,
peace that subdues,
patience that endures,
kindness in action,
a life full of virtue,
faith that prevails,
gentleness of heart,
and strength of spirit.
Never set the Law above these qualities, for they are meant to be limitless.
Peace is one of the fruit of The Holy Spirit. As you are led by The Holy Spirit, you will walk in greater peace as well as the other fruit.
Paul wrote by The Holy Spirit in Ephesians chapter 4:
17 So with the Wisdom given to me from the Lord I say: You should not live like the unbelievers around you who walk in their empty delusions.
18 Their corrupted logic has been clouded because their hearts are so far from God—their blinded understanding and deep-seated moral darkness keeps them from the true knowledge of God.
19 Because of spiritual apathy, they surrender their lives to lewdness, impurity, and sexual obsession.
20 But this is not the way of life that Christ has unfolded within you.
21 If you have really experienced the Anointed One, and heard His Truth, it will be seen in your life; for we know that the ultimate reality is embodied in Jesus!
We are observing the increased moral darkness throughout the earth promoted by the adversary and the nefarious ones who are currently in power. However, I am not moved by their temporary power for greater is He Who is in me than he that is in the world! The power and authority deposited in The Sons of GOD are greater than the temporary power of those who walk in their empty delusions. Accessing this power is the key to changing this world!
