Setting Heavenly Expectations

We need to see things from a Divine perspective.  This will occur as we renew our mind.  A renewed mind is essential for continued victory in our lives.

In Matthew chapter 6, Jesus spoke concerning the Secret Place and how we are to pray to FATHER:

6 But whenever you pray, go into your innermost chamber and be alone with Father God, praying to Him in secret. And your Father, Who sees all you do, will reward you openly. 7 When you pray, there is no need to repeat empty phrases, praying like the Gentiles do, for they expect God to hear them because of their many words. 8 There is no need to imitate them, since Your Father already knows what you need before you ask Him.

9 Pray like this:

‘Our Beloved Father, dwelling in the Heavenly realms,

may the glory of Your Name

be the center on which our lives turn.

10 Manifest your kingdom realm,

and cause Your every purpose to be fulfilled on earth,

just as it is in Heaven.

11 We acknowledge you as our Provider

of all we need each day.

We are to pray that EVERY PURPOSE of FATHER be fulfilled on earth just as it is in Heaven.  There is nothing in Heaven that isn’t part of HIS purposes.  Those same purposes are meant to be brought forth to earth to us and through us.  We should have the expectation that all of His purposes are to come forth on earth.

This will occur as we are transformed by the renewing of our mind and praying daily, even continuously in The Holy Spirit.  His Directives will not only meet our daily needs, but we will be empowered to bring forth the fullness of His Kingdom.  Jesus set this expectation and we need to pray and speak this forth with true intent rather than simply quoting what is written without any commitment to be a part of the flow.

We are to assess our hearts and not allow unforgiveness to be found in us.  Jesus instructed us how to remove unforgiveness… release forgiveness to others.

12 Forgive us the wrongs we have done as we ourselves

release forgiveness to those who have wronged us.

Jesus revealed the fact that we will face opposition to establishing FATHER’S Kingdom on earth.  This is why we will be described as Overcomers.  FATHER accepts the responsibility to set us free from evil.  If HE didn’t have the power to do so, Jesus would not have included it in this prayer thus we need to expect HIM to perform.  Why?  This is part of our covenant with HIM by HIS own Word and we acknowledge that covenant every time we pray.

13 Rescue us every time we face tribulation

and set us free from evil.

For you are the King who rules

with power and glory forever. Amen.’

Jesus then emphasized the need to express forgiveness of the faults of others.  We are told to imitate GOD and HE forgave us of our faults thus as mature Sons and Daughters, we are to do the same toward others.  We must not allow unforgiveness to hinder the performance of our covenant with FATHER.

14 “And when you pray, make sure you forgive the faults of others so that your Father in heaven will also forgive you. 15 But if you withhold forgiveness from others, your Father withholds forgiveness from you.”

All authority has been given to us through the Name of Jesus for the King and His Kingdom has given us authority as ambassadors.  Paul wrote by The Holy Spirit in 2nd Corinthians chapter 5:

20 We are ambassadors of the Anointed One who carry the message of Christ to the world, as though God were tenderly pleading with them directly through our lips. So we tenderly plead with you on Christ’s behalf, “Turn back to God and be reconciled to Him.” 21 For God made the only One Who did not know sin to become sin for us, so that we might become the righteousness of God through our union with Him.

It is up to each of us to carry the message of Christ to the world.  Peter wrote in his 1st epistle chapter 4:

11 Whoever speaks, [let him do it as one who utters] oracles of God; whoever renders service, [let him do it] as with the strength which God furnishes abundantly, so that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ (the Messiah). To Him be the glory and dominion forever and ever (through endless ages). Amen (so be it).

Peter expresses the revelation that FATHER will provide abundantly and we need to grasp this Truth and doubt not.  Agape Love isn’t reluctant to bless and we are given the tools when we act according to FATHER’S Directives.  Jesus told us to constantly plant seed in our hearts and expect a good harvest of fruit.  This fruit includes every aspect of establishing the Kingdom on earth.  There is no limitation of strength, Wisdom, understanding, knowledge, skill, or finances because FATHER is ready to be our Provision in all areas.  HE is not the problem or the restriction, our less than mature mindset is where the problem lies.

12 Beloved, do not be amazed and bewildered at the fiery ordeal which is taking place to test your quality, as though something strange (unusual and alien to you and your position) were befalling you.

13 But insofar as you are sharing Christ’s sufferings, rejoice, so that when His glory [full of radiance and splendor] is revealed, you may also rejoice with triumph [exultantly].

Our quality and commitment will be tested to insure purity in our motives.  We must not ask amiss and this is why we need to meditate on His Word day and night.  There are no scarcities in Heaven.
