Confront Fear

Faith is all about manifestation.

After the 5,000 families had been fed, Mark recorded by The Holy Spirit in Mark chapter 6:

45 After everyone had their meal, Jesus instructed His disciples to get back into the boat and go on ahead of Him and sail to the other side to Bethsaida. 46 So He dispersed the crowd, said good-bye to His disciples, then slipped away to pray on the mountain.

47 As night fell, the boat was in the middle of the lake and Jesus was alone on land. 48 The wind was against the disciples and He could see that they were straining at the oars, trying to make headway.

Jesus could see in the spirit realm where the disciples were having resistance to His command (which was FATHER’S command) to go to the other side.  They were doing FATHER’S Will but the god of this world wanted to thwart their arrival and prevent ministry to others.

48b When it was almost morning, Jesus came to them, walking on the surface of the water, and He started to pass by them. 49–50 When they all saw Him walking on the waves, they thought He was a ghost and screamed out in terror. But He said to them at once, “Don’t yield to fear. Have courage. It’s really me—I Am!”

Jesus was not moved by the circumstances surrounding Him for He knew where FATHER had directed Him and the disciples to go.  He was not moved by the storm He was facing and kept above of the situation.  We are meant to do the same as we manifest faith IN HIM, the I AM.

51 Then He came closer and climbed into the boat with them, and immediately the stormy wind became still. They were completely and utterly overwhelmed with astonishment. 52 Their doubting hearts had not grasped His authority and power over all things in spite of just having witnessed the miraculous feeding.

How many times and events must we read, watch, and/or experience before we become fully convinced of Jesus’ authority over this world?  We will experience resistance as we fulfill our individual callings and destinies, so just expect it!  Jesus dealt with resistance at every turn but did not allow it to prevent Him from “going to the other side”.  Neither should we.

We need to focus on His power and authority and accept It in our lives as well.  Did He not say that we would do greater things?  We need to embrace them and meditate on them until they become real and manifest in our lives.

We must not yield to fear and understand that its source is the adversary.  He will exploit our weaknesses if there are any.  Let us become “strong in THE LORD” and focus outward to a dying world, they need us.  We need to be known as fearless as we deal with every challenge confronting us today.
