To confront means:
1. To stand face to face in full view; to face; to stand in front.
2. To stand in direct opposition; to oppose.
3. To set face to face; to bring into the presence of; as a accused person and a witness, in court, for examination and discovery of the truth; followed by with.
Many Christians talk about the devil and his demons but we are meant to confront them. In 2020, many of the devil’s devices were exposed for all to see but what did the “church” do about the lies and fraud? Nothing!
Ezekiel wrote by The Holy Spirit in chapter 16:
1 Again the word of the Lord came to me, saying,
2 Son of man, confront Jerusalem, understand, and realize her [idolatrous] abominations [that they] are disgusting, detestable, and shamefully vile.
As Sons and Daughters of GOD, we are not to back down when FATHER tells us to confront what is disgusting, detestable, and shamefully vile before HIS Eyes. We are not to cower down and hide in a corner allowing the sins of many to go unabated. We are to confront the enemy as Jesus did. FATHER had Jesus go across the water and confront the demons who were possessing a man in the region of the Gerasenes (Luke 8:22-39).
Jesus went, confronted, cast out, and then left the area. FATHER instructed Him to go across for one purpose- confront and remove the enemy from the man. This is a perfect example of one facet of spiritual warfare.
In Luke chapter 8, Jesus spoke:
22 One day Jesus said to his disciples, “Let’s cross to the other side of the lake.” So they got into a boat and started out. 23 As they sailed across, Jesus settled down for a nap. But soon a fierce storm came down on the lake. The boat was filling with water, and they were in real danger.
24 The disciples went and woke Him up, shouting, “Master, Master, we’re going to drown!”
When Jesus woke up, He rebuked the wind and the raging waves. Suddenly the storm stopped and all was calm. 25 Then He asked them, “Where is your faith?”
The disciples were terrified and amazed. “Who is this man?” they asked each other. “When He gives a command, even the wind and waves obey Him!”
Jesus was instructed by FATHER to cross the lake to another geographic area where demons were having their way with a particular man. Jesus never went anywhere unless FATHER directed Him so He went by Divine appointment to deal with a legion of demons.
Did FATHER cause the wind and raging waves once they were in the middle of the lake? No, the prince of the power of air attempted to kill them.
Paul reveals by The Holy Spirit in Ephesians chapter 2:
2 It wasn’t that long ago that you lived in the religion, customs, and values of this world, obeying the dark ruler of the earthly realm who fills the atmosphere with his authority, and works diligently in the hearts of those who are disobedient to the Truth of God.
Jesus easily dealt with the demonic prince and commanded the storm to depart and the sea became calm. Jesus had the authority to override the demonic force and we have the same authority as well if we walk in faith. Jesus chastised the disciples for failing to deal with this demon on their own. He did not coddle them and promote their immaturity. Instead, He gave them the example for them to follow in such circumstances. It was a training mission for them… and us.
Demonic forces are not in some passive state thus leaving us alone. They want to keep us subdued and only carry out their intent. We must no longer accept their directives in any subtle manner. This is why it is critical for us to be fully led by The Holy Spirit on a daily basis as Jesus was led.
Jesus was confrontational toward demons and religious leaders. He had no fear and expressed whatever FATHER directed in order to reveal the Truth as well as the lies and deception surrounding their actions. We must be willing to do the same.
Jesus spoke in Revelation chapter 2:
2 I know all that you’ve done for Me—you have worked hard and persevered. I know that you don’t tolerate evil. You have tested those who claimed to be apostles and proved they are not, for they were imposters. 3 I also know how you have bravely endured trials and persecutions because of My Name, yet you have not become discouraged. 4 But I have this against you: you have abandoned the passionate Love you had for Me at the beginning. 5 Think about how far you have fallen! Repent and do the works of Love you did at first. I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place of influence if you do not repent.
Have you abandoned that passionate Agape Love for Jesus? Are you actually working against Him as you sit in a religious pew thus promoting one of the 42,000 religions my friend Steve mentioned in a previous post? We need to be working with Jesus, not against Him. The power resides with Him, not the religious leaders we focused on in the past. It is time to confront these issues and change our mindset so that we will become mature vessels of Honor who work with Jesus solely based on His directives given to us by The Holy Spirit.
