Case Closed On Past Failures

Paul wrote by The Holy Spirit in Romans chapter 8:

26 And the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness. For example, we don’t know what God wants us to pray for. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that cannot be expressed in words. 27 And the Father who knows all hearts knows what the Spirit is saying, for the Spirit pleads for us believers in harmony with God’s own will. 28 And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who Love GOD and are called according to his purpose for them. 29 For God knew his people in advance, and HE chose them to become like HIS Son, so that HIS Son would be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters. 30 And having chosen them, HE called them to come to HIM. And having called them, HE gave them right standing with HIMSELF. And having given them right standing, HE gave them his glory.

Our Heavenly Father has already accounted for your failures in fulfilling your destiny.  HE knew us in advance thus HE also knew in advance when and where we would fail and HE still gave us right standing.  Our failures are accounted for in HIS Plan so we must not focus on past failures but instead focus on our Covenant with HIM.

If we focus on past failures, we will miss the opportunity for our next success.  FATHER wants our cooperation in order for us to fulfill our destiny thus we are to walk by faith concerning what HE has shown us.

When The Holy Spirit speaks to me, by faith, I respond and act.  It is up to me to submit to the Covenant I have with FATHER.  If I keep my focus on past failures, I allow those past failures to divide my focus thus I may invite a hindrance to my next success.  Leave that past where it belongs.  Do not allow the adversary to beat you up about the past.

Faith by itself isn’t enough.  In the past, many ministers have focused only on preaching faith without emphasizing the other virtues we are to develop to assure our maturity.  It is time we become “well rounded” in our walk.

Peter wrote by The Holy Spirit in 2 Peter 1:

5 So devote yourselves to lavishly supplementing your faith with goodness,

and to goodness add understanding,

6 and to understanding add the strength of self-control,

and to self-control add patient endurance,

and to patient endurance add Godliness,

7 and to Godliness add mercy toward your brothers and sisters,

and to mercy toward others add unending Love.

8 Since these virtues are already planted deep within, and you possess them in abundant supply, they will keep you from being inactive or fruitless in your pursuit of knowing Jesus Christ more intimately. 9 But if anyone lacks these things, he is blind, constantly closing his eyes to the mysteries of our faith, and forgetting his innocence—for his past sins have been washed away.

New Testament prophecies are conditional and require faith as well as these other virtues or characteristics found operational in a mature Son or Daughter.  If you perceive you are ineffective and unproductive then consider which of these virtues need further development.

If you walk in the above virtues, you will never fail for unending Love never fails.  Those who don’t walk according to these virtues are blind and ineffective.  They are inactive, ineffective, and produce no fruit for the Kingdom.  That is quite a statement that cannot be rationalized away to mean something else.  It forces us to make an assessment of where we stand in relation to this standard.

We have been cleansed of our past sins so let us not consider the past as we pursue these virtues.  Both Peter and Paul fully understood this as they no longer considered their past failures as they walked in the power and authority of The Holy Spirit.

As Paul wrote by The Holy Spirit in Romans chapter 8:

1 So now the case is closed. There remains no accusing voice of condemnation against those who are joined in life-union with Jesus, the Anointed One. 2 For the “law” of the Spirit of life flowing through the anointing of Jesus has liberated us from the “law” of sin and death. 3 For God achieved what the law was unable to accomplish, because the law was limited by the weakness of human nature.

Your case is closed so don’t try to reopen it.  Don’t allow that accusing voice of condemnation to gain traction in your mind, will, or emotions.  That “closed” case contains your past failures and they are no longer applicable to you… period!  The accusing voice has been silenced so simply accept it just as Paul and Peter did.

The Holy Spirit helps me in my weakness thus I purpose to begin each day by praying in THE SPIRIT.  This results in strengthening me in preparing for the day.  THE SPIRIT pleads for us believers to be in harmony with FATHER’S own will.  What better assistance could I ask for in preparation for the day?  I start out in harmony and synchronization with FATHER’s Will so I am better prepared to deal with any and all issues that may arise.

We know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who Love GOD and are called according to HIS purpose for them.  “Everything” includes your past failures so don’t allow the past failures to hinder the fulfillment of your destiny.
