Fear of THE LORD: Part 1

Many Christians want GOD’S blessings but not HIS Presence.  When in HIS Presence, the Fear of GOD is realized and expectations are placed on us to become active and fruitful in our walk.

Unbelief paralyzes you and causes you to be ineffective.  If you really know and experience the Fear of GOD you will not have unbelief or walk in sin.  It is written in Psalm 36 by The Holy Spirit:

1  The rebellion of sin speaks as an oracle of God,

speaking deeply to the conscience of wicked men.

Yet they are still eager to sin,

for the Fear of God is not before their eyes.

The problem with today’s society is that there is no Fear of THE LORD.  In the past, there was even a Fear of GOD among the heathen and It restrained them to a certain degree.  Now, that has been lost.  Even in most churches this Fear of THE LORD is virtually nonexistent.

The Fear of GOD is awe and reverence toward GOD, the Creator of Heaven and earth.  It is written in Psalm 38 by The Holy Spirit:

8 Let all the earth Fear the LORD;

Let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of HIM.

9 For HE spoke, and it was done;

HE commanded, and it stood fast.

10 The LORD brings the counsel of the nations to nothing;

HE makes the plans of the peoples of no effect.

11 The counsel of the LORD stands forever,

The plans of HIS Heart to all generations.

12 Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD,

The people HE has chosen as HIS own inheritance.

The words “fear” and “awe” are interchangeable.  We need to gain a greater understand and realization of our place in our relationship with FATHER.  HE is the ALMIGHTY ONE and we are His Beloved Sons who submit to HIM in all areas.  HE is the greater and we are the lesser.

Isaiah wrote by The Holy Spirit in chapter 11 concerning Jesus:

1 There shall come forth a Rod from the stem of Jesse,

And a Branch shall grow out of his roots.

2 The Spirit of the LORD shall rest upon Him,

The Spirit of wisdom and understanding,

The Spirit of counsel and might,

The Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD.

3 His delight is in the fear of the LORD,

And He shall not judge by the sight of His eyes,

Nor decide by the hearing of His ears;

4 But with righteousness He shall judge the poor,

And decide with equity for the meek of the earth;

He shall strike the earth with the rod of His mouth,

And with the breath of His lips He shall slay the wicked.

5 Righteousness shall be the belt of His loins,

And faithfulness the belt of His waist.

We are to honor and respect Our Heavenly Father above all others.  Jesus did so, we should do the same.  It is written in Acts chapter 9 by The Holy Spirit:

31 After this, the church all over Judea, Galilee, and Samaria experienced a season of peace. The congregations grew larger and larger, with the believers being empowered and encouraged by the Holy Spirit. They worshiped God in wonder and awe, and walked in the Fear of THE LORD.

Is this how churches are growing these days or are there marketing programs causing the increase?  Are the believers in these churches being empowered and encouraged by The Holy Spirit or are they lukewarm white sepulchers void of The Holy Spirit and His power?

Paul wrote by The Holy Spirit in 2 Corinthians chapter 7:

1 Therefore, having these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting Holiness in the Fear of GOD.

The only way we can walk in perfect Holiness is to walk in the Fear of THE LORD.  We must walk in the deepest respect and worship of GOD, we must remove everything from our lives that contaminates body and spirit, and continue to complete the development of Holiness within us.

The Sons and Daughters fully embrace these Words above because we comprehend the benefits of Spiritual maturity.  We know that the world needs a pure Light and Standard to expose the sin and wickedness.  It is benefits for us to walk in perfected Holiness and power.

Peter wrote by The Holy Spirit in 1 Peter chapter 3:

15 But give reverent honor in your hearts to the Anointed One and treat HIM as the HOLY MASTER of your lives. And if anyone asks about the hope living within you, always be ready to explain your faith 16 with gentleness and respect. Maintain a clean conscience, so that those who slander you for living a pure life in Christ will have to lie about you and will be ashamed because of their slander.

We cannot prevent people from slandering us, but when they do, they should be forced to lie.  If we are living a pure life in Christ, we are not concerned about those who lie about us.  They are the ones who will be accountable and judged for their lies.

When I walk out a pure life, I don’t have to worry about the words I speak and I can speak with boldness.  I am no longer concerned about what others will think since I am no longer concerned with “self”.  If I speak with hesitancy then I am still dealing with “self” and need to mature.

The Truth will offend those who are basing their life or opinions on lies.  Should I withhold the Truth?  No, speak it in Love but know that some will still be offended.  Truth cannot “fellowship” with lies.

We must give others the right to reject the Truth rather than allowing them to remain in sin and unbelief.  We don’t have the right to reject the Truth for the other person.

Each of us is should ask this question:  Am I walking in the Fear of THE LORD?
