Our Covenant

A covenant is a mutual consent or agreement of two or more persons, to do or to forbear some act or thing; a contract; stipulation. A covenant is created by deed in writing, sealed and executed; or it may be implied in the contract.

The covenant of redemption is the mutual agreement between the Father and Son, respecting the redemption of sinners by Christ.   The covenant of grace is that by which God engages to bestow salvation on man, upon the condition that man shall believe in Christ and yield obedience to the terms of the gospel.

Our Covenant with FATHER should be based on fellowship and relationship, not just “position” based on the minimum requirements of redemption and grace.  If you and I want to enjoy the fullness of our Covenant with FATHER, we must give HIM all aspects of our lives, not just a small portion.

It is written by The Holy Spirit in Deuteronomy chapter 7:

9 “Therefore know that the LORD your God, He is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and mercy for a thousand generations with those who love Him and keep His commandments; 10 and He repays those who hate Him to their face, to destroy them. He will not be slack with him who hates Him; He will repay him to his face. 11 Therefore you shall keep the commandment, the statutes, and the judgments which I command you today, to observe them.”

FATHER would not bring up a covenant between HIM and us if it were not possible for us to fulfill our part.  As we become mature in Agape Love, sin has lost its “hook” into our souls and we only desire to walk in Love, faith, and hope thus becoming a pleasing Son or Daughter to Our Heavenly Father.

We must keep our High Priest at the forefront of our Covenant since His Blood perfected our ability to walk in the Covenant with FATHER.  Though the children of Israel had the initial Covenant and benefits with FATHER, Our Lord Jesus Christ expanded and perfected the Covenant for you and me.  Paul wrote by The Holy Spirit in Ephesians 2:

11 Therefore remember that you, once Gentiles in the flesh—who are called Uncircumcision by what is called the Circumcision made in the flesh by hands— 12 that at that time you were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world. 13 But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ.

We must never de-emphasize The Blood of Jesus Christ for It is the basis of our Covenant with FATHER.  The Blood should always be at the forefront of our consciousness and we must not allow ourselves to ever lose our passion for expressing our gratitude to FATHER for HIS Son’s Blood.

We have an everlasting Covenant with the GOD of Heaven and earth and we must no longer allow ourselves to walk outside or disregard that Covenant.  My life depends on this Covenant and so does yours.  The angels enforce the Covenant and a great example is that of Passover.  The blood on the doorpost protected the people from the plague.

Today, if we will walk fully according to The Covenant, we will not be affected by any plague circling the earth.  We need to re-emphasize The Blood Covenant in our words and actions.  We must not be reluctant to declare the Blood of Jesus Christ when we are dealing with the adversary.  The demons disperse when Jesus’ Blood is declared in anything are involved in for there is power in The Blood!
