Praise And Action

It is written by THE SPIRIT in Psalm 150, the final Psalm:

1 Praise the LORD!

Praise God in His sanctuary;

Praise Him in His mighty firmament!

2 Praise Him for His mighty acts;

Praise Him according to His excellent greatness!

3 Praise Him with the sound of the trumpet;

Praise Him with the lute and harp!

4 Praise Him with the timbrel and dance;

Praise Him with stringed instruments and flutes!

5 Praise Him with loud cymbals;

Praise Him with clashing cymbals!

6 Let everything that has breath praise the LORD.

Praise the LORD!

When we praise The LORD, we acknowledge HIS preeminence in our lives.  This expression of gratitude also builds our faith IN HIM.  When we give FATHER praise, we are acting upon HIS Word and telling our body to line up with HIS Word in all areas.  When we pray according to The Word, we are to express praise and gratitude for the answer to our prayer.  We should also have corresponding expectations and actions according to our request.  James wrote by THE SPIRIT in chapter 2:

17 Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.

Many believers miss this point when they pray.  First, we must know what FATHER’S redemptive promises are in the area of our need.  Second, we pray according to HIS will to answer our petition.  Third, we give HIM the praise for answering our prayer.  Fourth, we act in faith, doubting not.  The third and fourth steps is where many have difficulty.  Our ego would challenge us when we express praise for something we have yet to see.  We may be told we look stupid when we confess the result before its physical manifestation.  Who cares?  The Spiritual realm is everlasting whereas the physical realm is temporary by nature.  I would rather trust in the everlasting than rely on something that is always changing.

As I thank FATHER for the answer to my prayer, I am acknowledging HIM as being superior to my current, temporary situation.  The more I praise FATHER, the more good seed is planted in my heart.  Seed enters our hearts through our eyes and ears.  What we listen to impacts what our heart receives.  The children of Israel heard two different reports about the Promised Land in Numbers chapter 13:

30 Then Caleb quieted the people before Moses, and said, “Let us go up at once and take possession, for we are well able to overcome it.”

31 But the men who had gone up with him said, “We are not able to go up against the people, for they are stronger than we.”

32 And they gave the children of Israel a bad report of the land which they had spied out, saying, “The land through which we have gone as spies is a land that devours its inhabitants, and all the people whom we saw in it are men of great stature.

33 There we saw the giants (the descendants of Anak came from the giants); and we were like grasshoppers in our own sight, and so we were in their sight.”

Only two men embraced FATHER’S Word concerning the Promised Land and aligned their thoughts and words with HIM.  The rest of the people rejected HIS Word and planted seeds of unbelief in their hearts resulting in their death before they could enter the land.  We must feed our hearts with FATHER’S Word and our expressed acknowledgment and praise.  Our ears hear the confirming praise from our lips and reinforce the growth of the good seed.  When our eyes see our actions which line up with HIS Word, further reinforcement occurs.  Our faith grows stronger as we give praise and act according to HIS Word.  The manifested answer to our petition will come forth as we doubt not but remain steadfast in faith.  Once manifestation occurs, we have a fresh testimony to share with others.
