Paul wrote by THE SPIRIT in Romans chapter 12:
3 For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith.
Every one of us has been given an adequate measure of faith to receive from HIM. There are no entitled people who start out with a greater portion thus causing us to feel inferior. FATHER is no respecter of persons but Loves all of beyond our comprehension. It is HIS Will for us to be blessed beyond measure and HIS Son Jesus proved it time and time again.
In Luke chapter 5, Jesus provided us perspective of His willingness to provide abundance to those who respond to His Word:
3 Then He (Jesus) got into one of the boats, which was Simon’s, and asked him to put out a little from the land. And He sat down and taught the multitudes from the boat.
4 When He had stopped speaking, He said to Simon, “Launch out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch.”
5 But Simon answered and said to Him, “Master, we have toiled all night and caught nothing; nevertheless at Your word I will let down the net.”
6 And when they had done this, they caught a great number of fish, and their net was breaking.
7 So they signaled to their partners in the other boat to come and help them. And they came and filled both the boats, so that they began to sink.
8 When Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus’ knees, saying, “Depart from me, for I am a sinful man, O Lord!”
9 For he and all who were with him were astonished at the catch of fish which they had taken;
When is the last time you were astonished at the provision given to you by FATHER? Do you think this was an isolated incident and not meant to convey FATHER’S nature and Divine Intent? You can focus on the prophetic aspect of the nets breaking thus losing some of the fish, but I prefer to focus on the blessing that resulted after hearing The Word preached. Simon was an accomplished fisherman and was familiar with the area. Peter responded to Jesus’ Word by faith and let down his net.
Simon was not a seasoned believer but he did respond to The Word according to his measure of faith. He did not try to verify that the fish were there but simply acted on faith. Once faith acts, manifestation comes forth. Simon did not question The Word but simply responded accordingly.
FATHER is not in the business of promoting scarcity among HIS children. Men without revelation would have us believe that FATHER is no longer in the miracle performing business but they fail to realize FATHER is no different today than when Simon experienced such a blessing. We have let the world convince us of a scarcity-based life. If we are walking in Love, there is no reason why FATHER will withhold blessings from us. Jesus revealed a truth in Mark chapter 11:
22 So Jesus answered and said to them, “Have faith in GOD.
23 For assuredly (I tell you the Truth), I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.
24 Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.
I know many are familiar with this passage but we should revisit it with a fresh resolve to walk in greater faith. Unless you are walking fully in all of FATHER’S promises, you will want to focus on increasing or improving your walk in faith and Love. I know my faith needs to be greater so that I can produce a greater harvest of good fruit in all areas. Our faith should become developed enough that it produces beyond our limited expectation. Jesus proved this reality to Simon whose boat was about to sink with such a great catch. Let us not bypass the obvious Truth related to Jesus’ actions. It is time to get out of our “comfort zone” and expect greater things to happen in our lives.
