Pulling Down Strongholds

By THE SPIRIT Paul wrote in 2 Corinthians chapter 10:

4 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds,

5 casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ,

6 and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled.

Strongholds are false arguments and human reasoning.  We are presented with these positions on a daily basis by those who are highly esteemed by men and cultures.  You can have knowledge and skill but without Wisdom and understanding, you have just another opinion about life.  All Truth and revelation come from FATHER and thus we must not let our imaginations take over when we are presented with mankind’s reasoning about the current state we find ourselves in.  If left in an uncontrolled state, our imaginations can create huge problems that don’t exist and promote fear to the point of being destructive to our walk.

We must bring every thought captive so that we can obey Christ in all aspects of our lives.  We must not be moved by what we see in the physical realm.  It is not that we should deny its existence but we should exalt the Spiritual over the physical.  We must understand that all the things in the physical were originated in the Spirit first, not the reverse.

Many churches have succumb to sense knowledge rather than revelation knowledge.  This simply produces lukewarm congregations who just barely get by and whose only hope is salvation fully realized at physical death.  Yet we are called to be more than conquerors in this life.  But how?  This is where we bring every thought captive.

Psalm 119:  I will meditate on Your precepts,
And contemplate Your ways.

Whatever area is plaguing you and attempting to produce vain arguments challenging your walk, this is when you must focus your attention on the applicable promises found in Scripture.  These anointed Words must become one with our spirits where they take precedent over the vain argument.  Let us become one with The Word and let us not be denied in our pursuit of pulling down the stronghold attempting to take control of our thought life.

The Word is our Light and Truth.  Paul wrote by THE SPIRIT in Ephesians chapter 5:

8 For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light

9 (for the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness, righteousness, and truth),

10 finding out what is acceptable to the Lord.

11 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them.

Our standard by which we live is The Word for we know It works when properly applied in our individual lives.  I know this to be a certainty because of the good fruit produced both now and in the past.  I have been healed by FATHER’S Word.  I have been restored by HIS Word.  I have been redeemed by THE BLOOD OF THE LAMB.  Do you think I would take the time to write virtually every single day if this were not absolutely true?  FATHER has made it clear that we must plant good Seed into those who are willing to read these blogs.  I am confident that as we sow seeds of the Kingdom into men and women, good fruit will ultimately result.

If you have read and studied men’s writings and look back without seeing any fruit produced whatsoever, maybe it is time to ask if the true Gospel is being promoted or just another opinion.  Jesus warned us in Matthew chapter 24:

24 “For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.

25 See, I have told you beforehand.”

One aspect of pulling down strongholds is to be a fruit inspector.  If there is no manifested progress after an appropriate amount of time, we must question the path taken.  Maybe the knowledge being expounded is not directly from FATHER but instead has been diluted by man’s reasoning and opinions.  Anyone can point to a sign or wonder and take credit for its existence.  Often, people will see signs and assign their significance to the argument being presented.  We must guard against being “sign” followers but instead hear Our Heavenly Father and set our course by HIS Word.  We must protect our hearts and our minds by removing anything exalting itself against FATHER’S Word.
