The Source of Our Sufficiency

By THE SPIRIT Paul wrote in 2 Corinthians chapter 3:

4   And we have such trust through Christ toward GOD.

5   Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think of anything as being from ourselves, but our sufficiency is from GOD,

6   Who also made us sufficient as ministers of the new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.

HIS SPIRIT is what makes us sufficient and adequate to minister the Gospel to others.  Our life is to be a testimony to others as we interact on a daily basis.  The words we speak either promote life or death, healing or destruction, positive or negative… let us be ministers that give life.

We must no longer submit to the selfish nature which would separate us from HIS SPIRIT but instead embrace FATHER’S Divine Intent of Love in our lives so that we can be effective ministers of Christ.  The solutions to the world’s problems center around the need for unity and it can only be found in aligning ourselves with the CREATOR of the universe by which all things were created.  If we choose otherwise, we simply will go against the flow of life as FATHER created it.   Constantly challenging HIS Intent only leads to death and destruction so why would we choose another path when the path of life is presented to us?

By definition any challenge to FATHER’S Divine Intent will be met with resistance.  Some people may call it “bad karma”  or bad luck but it is simply resisting HIS Plan, Will, and Purpose.  In Proverbs chapter 3, Wisdom wrote:

31 Do not envy the oppressor, And choose none of his ways;

32 For the perverse person is an abomination to the LORD, But His secret counsel is with the upright.

33 The curse of the LORD is on the house of the wicked, But He blesses the home of the just.

34 Surely He scorns the scornful, But gives grace to the humble.

35 The wise shall inherit glory, But shame shall be the legacy of fools.

The word perverse means- showing a deliberate and obstinate desire to behave in a way that is unreasonable or unacceptable, often in spite of the consequences.  These writings are intended to mature both you and me.  Since I only write as THE SPIRIT leads me, I am the first to receive instruction from these writings and I assure you they have a positive effect on me.  I look forward to hearing what is on FATHER’S Mind each day.  It has become critical to my life to be sensitive to HIS SPIRIT each and every day.  I have known what it means to be foolish and headstrong and I have learned from those mistakes and have chosen to walk according to HIS Wisdom, not mine.

As we continue to walk according to FATHER’S Divine Intent, our sufficiency is found IN HIM, not by our own hand.  We should be increasingly grateful that FATHER is accessible and willing to guide us through the turbulence ahead.  As Paul wrote by THE SPIRIT in Philippians chapter 4:

12 I know how to be abased, and I know how to abound. Everywhere and in all things I have learned both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.

13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

Whatever state we are in, Christ strengthens us and is our sufficiency.  As we dwell and meditate on this Truth, it will come alive in us.  Our meditation on these Truths needs to occur daily, not occasionally.  To strengthen our bodies we must discipline ourselves on a daily regimen of proper exercise, nutrition, and sleep.  Don’t think that when you need to act in peak performance you can simply rely on what you did years ago.  We must stay in shape by exercising ourselves on a daily basis.  It is true for our spirit, soul, and body.  FATHER, give us this day our daily bread that we may be sufficient to minister according to YOUR Divine Intent!
