In Matthew chapter 24, Jesus spoke:
11 “Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many.
12 And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold.
13 But he who endures to the end shall be saved.
14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.”
Jesus Himself is warning us of three things in the above passage- deception, lawlessness, and the loss of Love among people. The deception and lawlessness are a result of the loss of Love and if we allow our Love to grow cold, we become susceptible to deception and lawlessness. Protecting our Love walk is a daily focus, not an occasional one.
Each and every day I am more convinced of the critical importance of this Truth. I can see the positive effect it has had on my life and I want others to join in and receive the benefits of walking in Love. Deception is destructive to relationships and as our Love matures we can see how people control and manipulate without the revelation of Love. Instead of being offended, I am saddened when I see this deception play out in peoples’ lives. The solution is set before us but many are blinded and enslaved by their selfish motives. They walk in deception as they attempt to deceive and there is no future in the direction they have chosen.
Lawlessness breeds further lawlessness. If we don’t arrest the lawlessness in our lives it will become ingrained in our character and become rooted in our heart. This doesn’t happen overnight but suddenly one day the person finds himself in a huge mess and wonders how he got there. Once you set a course of deception and lawlessness, correction can become extreme.
Jesus urges us to endure to the end and that is what I am doing as FATHER has me write these blogs on a daily basis. I write these out of Love for you and gratitude for FATHER revealing HIS Love to me. I can think of no better opportunity to spread the Gospel than to communicate HIS Love to those who are willing to embrace HIS Message.
There are those who have come and gone in pursuit of revelation. They tend to want knowledge without requiring them to change. They view the Gospel as impacting external events where they are simply beneficiaries and observers. They are unwilling to make the daily commitment required for growth and maturity. Jesus spoke of these people in Luke chapter 8:
11 “Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God.
12 Those by the wayside are the ones who hear; then the devil comes and takes away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved.
13 But the ones on the rock are those who, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, who believe for a while and in time of temptation fall away.
14 Now the ones that fell among thorns are those who, when they have heard, go out and are choked with cares, riches, and pleasures of life, and bring no fruit to maturity.
15 But the ones that fell on the good ground are those who, having heard the word with a noble and good heart, keep it and bear fruit with patience.”
Are you willing to be patient for the fruit of Love to come forth in your life? Let patience have its perfect work. Bearing good fruit is a daily focus, not an occasional one when you have nothing else to do. It requires commitment and perseverance to bring forth fruit in one’s heart. For the seed to root you must protect it from lawlessness and deception for those are temptations. You will have to choose between focusing and pursuing Love or the world’s offerings. You must cast your care on FATHER in order for your attention to remain focused on Love. Riches and pleasures of life are only temporal and will be no substitute for FATHER’S Love flowing in you and through you.
I urge you to be alert and protect the Love in your heart. Once you realize how much of a treasure Love is, you will cherish it above all else. Be alert and don’t allow it to grow cold.
