Deliverance

There is a difference between being prepared and being paranoid!

Deliverance, discernment, and deception are areas that we must not be ignorant in the final days.

Deliverance means being rescued, set free, or preserved by God from spiritual, physical, emotional, or moral bondage.

King David wrote by The Holy Spirit in Psalm chapter 34:

9 Worship in awe and wonder, all you who’ve been made Holy! For all who fear Him will feast with plenty.

10 Even the strong and the wealthy grow weak and hungry, but those who passionately pursue the Lord will never lack any good thing.

11 Come, children of God, and listen to me. I’ll share the lesson I’ve learned of fearing the Lord:

12-13 Do you want to live a long, good life, enjoying the beauty that fills each day? Then never speak a lie or allow wicked words to come from your mouth.

14 Keep turning your back on every sin, and make “peace” your life motto. Practice being at peace with everyone.

15 The Lord sees all we do; He watches over His friends day and night. His Godly ones receive the answers they seek whenever they cry out to Him.

16 But the Lord has made up His Mind to oppose evildoers and to wipe out even the memory of them from the face of the earth.

17 Yet when Holy Lovers of God cry out to Him with all their hearts, the Lord will hear them and come to rescue them from all their troubles.

God is The Deliverer Who responds when His people call upon Him.

It is written by The Holy Spirit in Psalm chapter 91:

14 For here is what the Lord has spoken to me: “Because you loved Me, delighted in Me, and have been loyal to My Name, I will greatly protect you.

15 I will answer your cry for help every time you pray, and you will feel My Presence in your time of trouble. I will deliver you and bring you honor.

16 I will satisfy you with a full life and with all that I do for you. For you will enjoy the fullness of My salvation!”

Deliverance is connected to trust, Love, and relationship with God.

Paul wrote by The Holy Spirit in Colossians chapter 1:

12 giving thanks to the Father Who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light.

13 He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the Kingdom of the Son of His Love,

14 in Whom we have redemption through His Blood, the forgiveness of sins.

Through Christ, believers are transferred from satan’s authority into Christ’s kingdom.

Jesus spoke in Luke chapter 4:

16 So Jesus came to Nazareth, where He had been brought up. And as His custom was, He went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and stood up to read.

17 And He was handed the book of the prophet Isaiah. And when He had opened the book, He found the place where it was written:

18 “The Spirit of the LORD is upon Me, Because He has anointed Me To preach the Gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives And recovery of sight to the blind, To set at liberty those who are oppressed;

19 To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD.”

Jesus declared deliverance as part of His ministry.

James wrote by The Holy Spirit in James chapter 4:

7 “Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”

Deliverance often involves submission to God and active resistance against evil.

How do we describe deliverance?  We are free from sin; we are free from demonic oppression; we are rescued from danger; we are delivered from fear; we are preserved through trials.

Paul wrote by The Holy Spirit in 2nd Timothy chapter 4:

18 And my Lord will continue to deliver me from every form of evil and give me Life in His Heavenly Kingdom. May all the glory go to Him alone for all the ages of eternity!

Jesus will preserve us through all trials that come our way!
