Have you ever personally seen or experienced a miracle?
Those who have not tend to place less emphasis on expecting them in their midst.
The miraculous draws men to the Supernatural. Jesus’ ministry revealed Heaven’s solutions to sin, sickness, and deliverance… people responded by the thousands.
Miracles should be a part of ministering the Gospel.
Luke recorded what Peter spoke by The Holy Spirit in Acts chapter 10:
36 God sent His Word to the Jewish people first, announcing the wonderful news of hope and peace through Jesus, the Anointed One, the Lord of all.
37 You are well aware of all that began in Galilee and spread throughout the land of Israel immediately after John preached his message of baptism.
38 “Jesus of Nazareth was anointed by God with the Holy Spirit and with great power. He did wonderful things for others and Divinely healed all who were under the tyranny of the devil, for God had anointed Him.
39 We apostles were eyewitnesses to all the miracles that He performed throughout the land of Israel. Finally, in Jerusalem, He was crucified on a cross,
40 but God raised Him from the dead three days later, allowing Him to be seen openly.
41 He didn’t appear to everyone, but he appeared to us, His chosen witnesses. He actually ate and drank with us after He rose from the dead!
42 “Jesus ordered us to preach and warn the people that God had appointed Him to be the judge of the living and the dead.”
The miracles validated the ministry of Jesus versus religious persuasion and opinion. He displayed true power and authority. When GOD reveals an aspect of HIS nature, it always comes with an invitation to encounter. One aspect of GOD is that of miracles. We are meant to encounter the miraculous in our individual walks.
As we surrender ourselves and obey HIS Word to us, HE will reveal other facets of HIS nature to us. We have become worthy of trust. HE reveals WHO HE is as the need arises. When we are sick, we need HIM to reveal HIMSELF as Our Healer. Each encounter with HIM expresses a part of HIS nature. Once you know HIM as Healer, you then expect supernatural healing to come forth. When this happens, our perception changes.
Once the superior is revealed, we no longer want to settle for the inferior. However, we must not pursue a miracle for its own sake. Miracles are a result of WHO HE is. As we seek HIM, miracles will result.
Jesus spoke in Matthew chapter 6:
33 But seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
Don’t seek and become addicted to “things” that are added and lose sight of WHO HE is! I am here for the relationship with FATHER, not simply the fulfillment of my desires, dreams, or ambitions.
Paul wrote by The Holy Spirit in Philippians chapter 3:
7 Yet all of the accomplishments that I once took credit for, I’ve now forsaken them and I regard it all as nothing compared to the delight of experiencing Jesus Christ as my Lord!
8 To truly know him meant letting go of everything from my past and throwing all my boasting on the garbage heap. It’s all like a pile of manure to me now, so that I may be enriched in the reality of knowing Jesus Christ and embrace Him as Lord in all of His greatness.
9 My passion is to be consumed with Him and not cling to my own “righteousness” based in keeping the written Law. My only “righteousness” will be His, based on the faithfulness of Jesus Christ—the very righteousness that comes from God.
10 And I continually long to know the wonders of Jesus and to experience the overflowing power of His resurrection working in me. I will be one with Him in His sufferings and become like Him in his death.
11 Only then will I be able to experience complete oneness with Him in His resurrection from the realm of death.
Once Paul came into a relationship with Jesus Christ, his past became worthless, of no value. His priorities totally changed, and the things of the world no longer attracted him in any way. His relationship with Christ was his top priority, nothing else mattered. This opened the door for extraordinary and unusual miracles to occur through the hands of Paul.
Luke recorded by The Holy Spirit in Acts chapter 19:
11 God kept releasing a flow of extraordinary miracles through the hands of Paul. 12 Because of this, people took Paul’s handkerchiefs and articles of clothing, even pieces of cloth that had touched his skin, laying them on the bodies of the sick, and diseases and demons left them and they were healed.
As we mature in Christ, should we expect anything less?
