You are to walk in the Fear of THE LORD as Our Lord Jesus Christ did!
Jesus is our Perfect and complete Example of how we are to live as we walk in full Spiritual maturity.
Paul wrote by The Holy Spirit in Ephesians chapter 5:
1 Be imitators of God in everything you do, for then you will represent your Father as His Beloved Sons and Daughters.
In other Words, therefore become imitators of God [copy Him and follow His example], as well-beloved children [imitate their Father].
2 And continue to walk surrendered to the extravagant Love of Christ, for He surrendered His Life as a Sacrifice for us. His great Love for us was pleasing to God, like an aroma of adoration—a sweet healing fragrance.
We are commanded to walk in the same manner as Our Lord Jesus Christ. If it were not possible, we would not be commanded by The Holy Spirit to follow His Example.
Jesus spoke in John chapter 13:
12 After washing their feet, Jesus put His robe on and returned to His place at the table. “Do you understand what I just did?” Jesus said.
13 “You’ve called me your Teacher and Lord, and you’re right, for that’s Who I am.
14-15 So if I’m your Teacher and Lord and have just washed your dirty feet, then you should follow the example that I’ve set for you and wash one another’s dirty feet. Now do for each other what I have just done for you.
16 I speak to you timeless Truth: a servant is not superior to his master, and an apostle is never greater than the One Who sent him.
Jesus came to the earth as an Example to serve mankind and we should do the same in whatever capacity our gifts can be used.
It is also recorded by The Holy Spirit in Isaiah chapter 11:
1 The cut-off stump of Jesse will sprout, and a fruitful Branch will grow from his roots:
The name Jesse means upright, firm, and strong. The term sprout means to go forth in contrast with the arrogant branches that are cut off. This is a fruitful branch. Christ in us is the Vine and we are His fruitful branches. Overcomers are the branches that bring forth the fruit of Christ’s Life. This sprout will grow to become the Rod of God’s power.
Jesus affirmed this Truth in John chapter 15:
14 “You show that you are my intimate friends when you obey all that I command you.
15 I have never called you ‘servants,’ because a master doesn’t confide in his servants, and servants don’t always understand what the master is doing. But I call you My most intimate and cherished friends, for I reveal to you everything that I’ve heard from my Father.
16 You didn’t choose Me, but I’ve chosen and commissioned you to go into the world to bear fruit. And your fruit will last, because whatever you ask of My Father, for My sake, HE will give it to you!
17 So this is My parting command: Love one another deeply!”
Those of us who do what Jesus commands are known as His friends. What a privilege!
In the same regard, we should expect to walk in the same seven characteristics that Jesus walked in which are described in Isaiah chapter 11:
2 the Spirit of YAHWEH will rest upon Him,
the Spirit of Extraordinary Wisdom,
the Spirit of Perfect Understanding,
the Spirit of Wise Strategy,
the Spirit of Mighty Power,
the Spirit of Revelation,
and the Spirit of the Fear of YAHWEH.
3 He will find His delight in living by the Spirit of the Fear of the Lord. He will neither judge by appearances nor make His decisions based on rumors.
4 With righteousness He will uphold justice for the poor and defend the lowly of the earth. His Words will be like a scepter of power that conquers the world, and with His Breath He will slay the lawless one.
5 Righteousness will be His warrior’s sash and faithfulness His belt.
Notice that Jesus finds His delight in living by the Spirit of the Fear of THE LORD. This seventh characteristic of The Holy Spirit is emphasized above the others for a reason. We should pay close attention to this emphasis.
