Father’s Holiness is the sum of all HIS attributes!
How many different attributes does FATHER have? I have no idea! I would suggest innumerable, thus we cannot fully understand all the facets of HIS Holiness. We are given a list of various attributes by both Isaiah and John. Both men were given views of The Throne Room, one in the Old Testament and one in the New Testament.
The Beloved Disciple John wrote by The Holy Spirit in Revelation chapter 1:
4 John, to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace to you and peace from Him who is and who was and who is to come, and from the seven Spirits Who are before His Throne,
5 and from Jesus Christ, the Faithful Witness, the Firstborn from the dead, and the Ruler over the kings of the earth. To Him Who Loved us and washed us from our sins in His Own Blood,
6 and has made us kings and priests to His God and Father, to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.
John is shown Seven Spirits before The Throne. These Spirits are in complete unity and complement each other. There is no division or conflict in Heaven.
It is written by THE SPIRIT in Isaiah chapter 11 describing Seven Spirits:
1 There shall come forth a Rod from the stem of Jesse, And a Branch shall grow out of his roots.
2 The Spirit of the LORD shall rest upon Him, The Spirit of Wisdom and understanding, The Spirit of counsel and might, The Spirit of knowledge and of the Fear of the LORD.
In other Words, (1) the Spirit of YAHWEH will rest upon him, (2) the Spirit of Extraordinary Wisdom, (3) the Spirit of Perfect Understanding, (4) the Spirit of Wise Strategy, (5) the Spirit of Mighty Power, (6) the Spirit of Revelation, and (7) the Spirit of the Fear of YAHWEH. He will find his delight in living by the Spirit of the Fear of the Lord. He will neither judge by appearances nor make his decisions based on rumors.
In the Book of Revelation, the following seven groups of seven are mentioned: Seven Spirits, seven lampstands, seven horns, seven bowls, seven trumpets, seven thunders, and seven churches.
The jubilee in the Old Testament was determined to be 49 years: 7 x 7. Could jubilee be tied to the seven sevens in the Book of Revelation?
Jesus spoke in Matthew chapter 18:
21 Then Peter came to Him and said, “Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? Up to seven times?”
22 Jesus said to him, “I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to seventy times seven.”
FATHER’S Holiness envelopes HIS willingness to forgive as HE is longsuffering, patient, and kind to HIS creation. As we walk being led by the Holy Spirit, we take on the attributes of The Holy Spirit and produce fruit accordingly. These are all aspects of pursuing Holiness.
