Pursuing Holiness- Part 7

Father’s Holiness is of greatest importance in our understanding!

When The Word of GOD wants us to pay close attention to a particular passage, The Words are repeated twice.  Of greatest importance, The Words are repeated three times.  Pay close attention to Those Words, your life and future will depend on them!

Isaiah recorded by THE SPIRIT in Isaiah chapter 6:

1  In the year that King Uzziah died, I clearly saw the Lord. HE was seated on His exalted Throne, towering high above me. His long, flowing robe of splendor spread throughout the Temple.

2 Standing above Him were the angels of flaming fire, each with six wings: with two wings they covered their faces in reverence, with two wings they covered their feet, and with two wings they flew.

3 And one called out to another, saying: “Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord of hosts, Commander of Angel Armies! The whole earth is filled with His glory!”

4 The thunderous voice of the fiery angels caused the foundations of the thresholds to tremble as the cloud of glory filled the temple!

Jesus instructed John to ascend to the Third Heaven in Revelation chapter 4:

1  After these things I looked, and behold, a door standing open in heaven. And the first Voice which I heard was like a trumpet speaking with me, saying, “Come up here, and I will show you things which must take place after this.”

2 Immediately I was in the Spirit; and behold, a Throne set in Heaven, and One sat on the Throne.

3 And He Who sat there was like a jasper and a sardius stone in appearance; and there was a rainbow around the Throne, in appearance like an emerald.

4 Around the Throne were twenty-four thrones, and on the thrones I saw twenty-four elders sitting, clothed in white robes; and they had crowns of gold on their heads.

5 And from the Throne proceeded lightnings, thunderings, and voices. Seven lamps of fire were burning before the Throne, which are the seven Spirits of God. 6 Before the Throne there was a sea of glass, like crystal. And in the midst of the Throne, and around the Throne, were four living creatures full of eyes in front and in back.

7 The first living creature was like a lion, the second living creature like a calf, the third living creature had a face like a man, and the fourth living creature was like a flying eagle.

8 The four living creatures, each having six wings, were full of eyes around and within. And they do not rest day or night, saying: “Holy, Holy, Holy, Lord God Almighty, Who was and is and is to come!”

9 Whenever the living creatures give glory and honor and thanks to Him who sits on the Throne, Who lives forever and ever,

10 the twenty-four elders fall down before Him who sits on the Throne and worship Him Who lives forever and ever, and cast their crowns before the Throne, saying:

11 “You are worthy, O Lord, To receive glory and honor and power; For You created all things, And by Your Will they exist and were created.”

The seraphim revealed the great importance of Our Heavenly Father and we must pay close attention to this declaration.

In the Gospel of John, there are 25 times when Jesus began a sentence with “verily, verily”.  This means “pay close attention.”  When a word is tripled, it means pay the utmost importance to what is being conveyed.

The Beloved Disciple recorded by The Holy Spirit in John chapter 1:

47  Jesus saw Nathanael coming to him, and saith of him, Behold an Israelite indeed, in whom is no guile!

48 Nathanael saith unto Him, Whence knowest Thou me? Jesus answered and said unto him, Before that Philip called thee, when thou wast under the fig tree, I saw thee.

49 Nathanael answered and saith unto him, Rabbi, thou art the Son of God; thou art the King of Israel.

50 Jesus answered and said unto him, Because I said unto thee, I saw thee under the fig tree, believest thou? thou shalt see greater things than these.

51 And Jesus saith unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Hereafter ye shall see Heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of man.

The word “verily” is of Hebrew origin and means “amen, truly, so be it”.  In other words, pay close attention to what I am about to say.  Moreover, when a word is spoken three times, it demands our total attention and reverence.
