As A Man Thinks

Proverbs 23:7a   For as a man thinks in his heart, so is he.

This is such a vital Truth for us to consider.  You only have to spend time with someone to get an idea of what they truly think.  In the short term, people will try to project their best to you.  Spend a week with someone and their true nature will come out, good or bad.

Your life is going in the direction of your thoughts!

Paul wrote by The Holy Spirit in Hebrews chapter 1:

1  God, Who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets,

2 has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through Whom also He made the worlds;

3 Who being the brightness of His glory and the Express Image of His Person, and upholding all things by the Word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the Right Hand of the Majesty On High,

4 having become so much better than the angels, as He has by inheritance obtained a more excellent Name than they.

Do you want to know FATHER?  Then focus on Jesus’ Words and acts for He is the Express Image of FATHER.  Some people focus on prophets, angels, signs, etc. but we should focus on The Word made flesh as well as The Word expressed by those anointed to record the Epistles in the New Testament.  Am I saying to disregard the Old Testament?  No!  The Old points to the New.  The shadows and symbolism in the Old, point to the reality in the New.

In chapter 2:

1  Therefore we must give the more earnest heed to the things we have heard (from Jesus), lest we drift away.

2 For if the Word spoken through angels proved steadfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just reward,

3 how shall we escape if we neglect so great a salvation, which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed to us by those who heard Him,

4 God also bearing witness both with signs and wonders, with various miracles, and gifts of the Holy Spirit, according to His own will?

FATHER has placed everything under Jesus’ authority. This means that God has left nothing outside the control of His Son, even if presently we have yet to see this accomplished.

Are there any exceptions to His authority?  No!  We must not neglect what Jesus has done for us.

Paul continues in Hebrews chapter 3:

1  Therefore, Holy brethren, partakers of the Heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our confession, Christ Jesus,

2 Who was faithful to Him who appointed Him, as Moses also was faithful in all His house.

3 For this One has been counted worthy of more glory than Moses, inasmuch as He Who built the house has more honor than the house.

4 For every house is built by someone, but He Who built all things is God.

5 And Moses indeed was faithful in all His house as a servant, for a testimony of those things which would be spoken afterward,

6 but Christ as a Son over His Own House, Whose House we are if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm to the end.

In other Words:

Indeed, Moses served God faithfully in all He gave him to do. His work prophetically illustrates things that would later be spoken and fulfilled. But Christ is more than a Servant, He was faithful as the Son in charge of God’s House. And now we are part of His House if we continue courageously to hold firmly to our bold confidence and our victorious hope.

In chapter 4:

1Now the promise of entering into God’s rest is still for us today. So we must be extremely careful to ensure that we all embrace the fullness of that promise and not fail to experience it.

2 For we have heard the Good News of deliverance just as they did (the Israelites), yet they didn’t join their faith with the Word. Instead, what they heard didn’t affect them deeply, for they doubted.

You cannot twist FATHER’S Arm with repetitive prayers or seeking a prayer chain to convince HIM to act.  Begging and pleading do not help either.  HE already gave us HIS promises and we are by faith to stand on them, doubting not!  Faith pleases GOD.  Our mindsets need to line up with HIS Word.
