Jesus has a question for each of us!
Jesus spoke in Luke chapter 18:
35 Then it happened, as Jesus was coming near Jericho, that a certain blind man sat by the road begging.
36 And hearing a multitude passing by, he asked what it meant.
37 So they told him that Jesus of Nazareth was passing by.
38 And he cried out, saying, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!”
39 Then those who went before warned him that he should be quiet; but he cried out all the more, “Son of David, have mercy on me!”
40 So Jesus stood still and commanded him to be brought to Him. And when he had come near,
Jesus asked him,
41 saying, “What do you want Me to do for you?“
He said, “Lord, that I may receive my sight.”
42 Then Jesus said to him, “Receive your sight; your faith has made you well.”
43 And immediately he received his sight, and followed Him, glorifying God. And all the people, when they saw it, gave praise to God.
Complaining prayers are not communion with GOD. FATHER doesn’t need us to tell HIM what isn’t working and is wrong. We are to pray to HIM for what we want to manifest. We are to pray the solution.
The blind man did not come to Jesus to complain about his problem, he came for the solution: eyesight.
Each of us has an assignment given to us before we were formed in the womb.
David recorded by THE SPIRIT in Psalm chapter 139:
13 For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother’s womb.
14 I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well.
15 My frame was not hidden from You, When I was made in secret, And skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.
16 Your Eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your book they all were written, The days fashioned for me, When as yet there were none of them.
In other words: You saw who You created me to be before I became me! Before I’d ever seen the light of day, the number of days You planned for me were already recorded in your book.
Do you think that FATHER planned your days without giving you an assignment with an expected end?
No matter what your age, it is never too late to implement HIS plan for your life. We must quit being sin conscious as though we are unqualified to carry out HIS plan for our lives.
Paul wrote by The Holy Spirit in Romans chapter 6:
10 For by His sacrifice he died to sin’s power once and for all, but He now lives continuously for the Father’s pleasure.
11 So let it be the same way with you! Since you are now joined with him, you must continually view yourselves as dead and unresponsive to sin’s appeal while living daily for God’s pleasure in union with Jesus, the Anointed One.
12 Sin is a dethroned monarch; so you must no longer give it an opportunity to rule over your life, controlling how you live and compelling you to obey its desires and cravings.
13 So then, refuse to answer its call to surrender your body as a tool for wickedness. Instead, passionately answer God’s call to keep yielding your body to HIM as one who has now experienced resurrection Life! You live now for HIS pleasure, ready to be used for HIS noble purpose.
Jesus enabled us to fulfill our assignment, but we must accept the fact that we are dead to sin and alive IN HIM. Don’t allow the old man to prevail… he is dead.
14 Remember this: sin will not conquer you, for God already has! You are not governed by law but governed by the reign of the grace of God.
15 What are we to do, then? Should we sin to our hearts’ content since there’s no law to condemn us anymore? What a terrible thought!
16 Don’t you realize that grace frees you to choose your own master? But choose carefully, for you surrender yourself to become a servant—bound to the one you choose to obey. If you choose to love sin, it will become your master, and it will own you and reward you with death. But if you choose to Love and obey God, He will lead you into perfect righteousness.
17 And thanks be to God, for in the past you were servants of sin, but now your obedience is heart deep, and your life is being molded by Truth through the teaching you are devoted to.
I don’t need another prophet to tell me what my spirit already knows. Each of us gravitates to our calling. We only need to look back at our life as well as allow The Holy Spirit to clarify our specific calling.
When Jesus asks you the question, what will be your specific request?
