A daily prayer to consider and dwell on, based on Ephesians 1:17-23<\/p>\n\n\n\n
MY FATHER of our Lord Jesus Christ, WHO is the FATHER\nof glory, give to me the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of YOU\nand open the eyes of my understanding so that they are enlightened; and that I\nmay know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of\nHis inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of His power\ntoward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power which He\nworked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right\nhand in the heavenly places, far above all principality and power and might and\ndominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that\nwhich is to come. And He put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be head\nover all things to the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills\nall in all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Let\u2019s meditate on what THE SPIRIT provided us Romans\nchapter 8:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Living by the Power of the Holy Spirit<\/p>\n\n\n\n
8 So now the case is closed. There remains no\naccusing voice of condemnation against those who are joined in life-union with\nJesus, the Anointed One. 2 For the \u201claw\u201d of the Spirit of life flowing\nthrough the anointing of Jesus has liberated us from the \u201claw\u201d of sin and\ndeath. 3 For God achieved what the law was unable to accomplish, because the\nlaw was limited by the weakness of human nature.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Yet God sent us his Son in human form to identify\nwith human weakness. Clothed with humanity, God\u2019s Son gave his body to be the\nsin-offering so that God could once and for all condemn the guilt and power of\nsin. 4 So now every righteous requirement of the law can be fulfilled through\nthe Anointed One living his life in us. And we are free to live, not according\nto our flesh, but by the dynamic power of the Holy Spirit!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
5 Those who are motivated by the flesh only pursue\nwhat benefits themselves. But those who live by the impulses of the Holy Spirit\nare motivated to pursue spiritual realities. 6 For the mind-set of the flesh is\ndeath, but the mind-set controlled by the Spirit finds life and peace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
7 In fact, the mind-set focused on the flesh fights\nGod\u2019s plan and refuses to submit to his direction, because it cannot! 8 For no\nmatter how hard they try, God finds no pleasure with those who are controlled\nby the flesh. 9 But when the Spirit of Christ empowers your life, you are not\ndominated by the flesh but by the Spirit. And if you are not joined to the\nSpirit of the Anointed One, you are not of him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
10 Now Christ lives his life in you! And even though\nyour body may be dead because of the effects of sin, his life-giving Spirit\nimparts life to you because you are fully accepted by God. 11 Yes, God raised\nJesus to life! And since God\u2019s Spirit of Resurrection lives in you, he will\nalso raise your dying body to life by the same Spirit that breathes life into\nyou!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
12 So then, beloved ones, the flesh has no claims on\nus at all, and we have no further obligation to live in obedience to it. 13 For\nwhen you live controlled by the flesh, you are about to die. But if the life of\nthe Spirit puts to death the corrupt ways of the flesh, we then taste his\nabundant life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Sons and Daughters Destined for Glory<\/p>\n\n\n\n
14 The mature children of God are those who are\nmoved by the impulses of the Holy Spirit. \nTPT<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Doesn\u2019t this passage say it all as it relates to The\nHoly Spirit?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
