Jesus\nspoke in John chapter 17:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
1\nJesus spoke these words, lifted up His eyes to heaven, and said: \u201cFather, the\nhour has come. Glorify Your Son, that Your Son also may glorify You, <\/p>\n\n\n\n
2\nas You have given Him authority over all flesh, that He should give eternal\nlife to as many as You have given Him. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The\nword \u201cauthority\u201d is the right to exercise power. FATHER WHO created all things has the right\nto assign authority and power to whomever HE pleases and HE gave specific\nauthority to HIS Son in whom HE is well pleased. Jesus now expresses the results:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
3\nAnd this is eternal life, that they may\nknow You<\/strong>, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent. <\/p>\n\n\n\n 4 I have\nglorified You<\/strong>\non the earth. I have finished the work<\/strong>\nwhich You have given Me to do. <\/p>\n\n\n\n 5\nAnd now, O Father, glorify Me together with Yourself, with the glory which I\nhad with You before the world was.<\/p>\n\n\n\n This\nis the same work for each of us who are called as Sons and Daughters to\naccomplish. We are to do works which\nreveal FATHER and HIS heart toward mankind. \nWe are to glorify Our Heavenly Father in those works rather than seek glory\nourselves. We are called to complete our\nwork (our individual callings). Jesus\ncontinues:<\/p>\n\n\n\n 6\n\u201cI have manifested Your name to the men whom You have given Me out of the\nworld. They were Yours, You gave them to Me, and they have kept Your word. <\/p>\n\n\n\n 7\nNow they have known that all things which You have given Me are from You. <\/p>\n\n\n\n 8\nFor I have given to them the words which You have given Me; and they have\nreceived them, and have known surely that I came forth from You; and they have\nbelieved that You sent Me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Jesus\nequipped us to keep The Word and walk in It. \nHe was given clear authority to bring forth this Word along with the\npower to bring it into full manifestation. \nThat same power and authority has been given to us if we will only\nbelieve and trust in The Word.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Jesus\ncompleted His earthly ministry and now works with those who have aligned\nthemselves with FATHER\u2019S Will. Jesus was\nled by THE SPIRIT thus He did not act independently of FATHER\u2019S Will. Regrettably, there has been much teaching,\nespecially in the faith movement, that has omitted this key to fruitfulness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n For\nexample, Jesus did not come to conquer Rome even though there had been much\nprophecy concerning a conquering Messiah. \nSome of the faith movement teachers led us to believe that we could and\nshould believe for expensive new cars, large houses, and \u201cfat\u201d bank\naccounts. Many attempted this line of\nreasoning but failed miserably. They\nwere not aligned with FATHER\u2019S Will.<\/p>\n\n\n\n It\nis written by THE SPIRIT in Acts chapter 11:<\/p>\n\n\n\n 19\nNow those who were scattered after the persecution that arose over Stephen\ntraveled as far as Phoenicia, Cyprus, and Antioch, preaching the word to no one\nbut the Jews only. <\/p>\n\n\n\n 20\nBut some of them were men from Cyprus and Cyrene, who, when they had come to\nAntioch, spoke to the Hellenists, preaching the Lord Jesus. 21 And the hand\nof the Lord was with them, and a great number believed and turned to the\nLord.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Notice\nthat \u201cthe hand of the LORD\u201d was with the disciples when they preached Jesus\nChrist and His resurrection thus they produced good fruit. If we speak and act outside the expressed\nWill of Our Heavenly FATHER, HE will not endorse or act on our behalf. Paul expressed this Truth in Philippians chapter\n4:<\/p>\n\n\n\n 11\nNot that I speak in regard to need, for I have learned in whatever state I am,\nto be content: <\/p>\n\n\n\n 12\nI know how to be abased, and I know how to abound. Everywhere and in all things\nI have learned both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer\nneed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n 13\nI can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n We\ncan do all things if those \u201cthings\u201d are endorsed and directed through\nChrist. We are not given carte blanche\nto do anything outside of His Will and purpose. \nPaul was not moved by whatever physical state he was in, and neither\nshould we. We are only to be moved by\nTHE WORD.
