Proverbs 9:\u200b1 Wisdom has built her house, \u200b\u200bShe has hewn out her seven pillars;<\/p>\n
2 \u200b\u200bShe has slaughtered her meat, \u200b\u200bShe has mixed her wine, \u200b\u200bShe has also furnished her table. <\/p>\n
3 \u200b\u200bShe has sent out her maidens, \u200b\u200bShe cries out from the highest places of the city,<\/p>\n
4 \u200b\u200b\u201cWhoever is<\/em> simple, let him turn in here!\u201d \u200b\u200bAs for<\/em> him who lacks understanding, she says to him,<\/p>\n 5 \u200b\u200b\u201cCome<\/strong>, eat of my bread \u200b\u200bAnd drink of the wine I have mixed.<\/p>\n 6 \u200b\u200bForsake foolishness and live, \u200b\u200bAnd go in the way of understanding<\/p>\n Wisdom prepares a feast for us to partake. The number seven means\u201cSpiritual Perfection\u201d and here it is being associated with a feast. Messengers are sent out to notify the people of a feast of wisdom and understanding. It is a Feast of revelation.<\/p>\n Jesus also spoke a parable of a feast in Matthew 22:1-14.<\/p>\n The servants were sent out three times representing the revelation of three feasts: Passover, Pentecost, and Tabernacles in verses 3, 4, and 9: <\/p>\n 3 and sent out his servants<\/strong> to call those who were invited to the wedding; and they were not willing to come. <\/p>\n 4 Again, he sent out other servants<\/strong>, saying, \u2018Tell those who are invited, \u201cSee, I have prepared my dinner; my oxen and fatted cattle are<\/em> killed, and all things are<\/em> ready. Come<\/strong> to the wedding.\u201d \u2019 <\/p>\n 5 But they made light of it and went their ways, one to his own farm, another to his business. <\/p>\n 6 And the rest seized his servants, treated them<\/em> spitefully, and killed them.<\/em> <\/p>\n 7 But when the king heard about it,<\/em> he was furious. And he sent out his armies, destroyed those murderers, and burned up their city. <\/p>\n 8 Then he said to his servants, \u2018The wedding is ready, but those who were invited were not worthy. <\/p>\n 9 Therefore go into the highways, and as many as you find, invite to the wedding.\u2019<\/strong> <\/p>\n 10 So those servants went out into the highways and gathered together all whom they found, both bad and good. And the wedding hall<\/em> was filled with guests.<\/p>\n 11 \u201cBut when the king came in to see the guests, he saw a man there who did not have on a wedding garment. <\/p>\n 12 So he said to him, \u2018Friend, how did you come in here without a wedding garment?\u2019 And he was speechless. <\/p>\n 13 Then the king said to the servants, \u2018Bind him hand and foot, take him away, and cast him<\/em> into outer darkness; there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.\u2019<\/p>\n 14 \u201cFor many are called, but few are<\/em> chosen.\u201d<\/p>\n Notice in verse 8 there are those who are not worthy. Who are they? Jesus spoke on this topic in an earlier parable:<\/p>\n Mathew 10:37 He who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me. And he who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me. 38 And he who does not take his cross and follow after Me is not worthy of Me. 39 He who finds his life will lose it, and he who loses his life for My sake will find it.<\/p>\n Worthiness centers around \u201closing\u201d your life, dying to self. It is all about Love. Our Heavenly Father has issued the command to \u201cCome!\u201d and people are too busy to receive the revelation of being an active participant in the coming age. In all three dispensations, Our Heavenly Father issued the call. Each time those who were invited were too busy with worldly tasks to partake of HIS bread. The Age of Tabernacles is preceded by the command to Come and dine. The Bride of Christ is to be consummated. Are you distracted with other areas of focus? Have you been misdirected to worldly projects? Weddings are all about Love and unity. If you are not clothed in a wedding garment of Love, will you be allowed to stay?
