{"id":12030,"date":"2025-04-27T04:28:00","date_gmt":"2025-04-27T09:28:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/servias.org\/?p=12030"},"modified":"2025-04-23T06:29:34","modified_gmt":"2025-04-23T11:29:34","slug":"dealing-with-unbelief-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/servias.org\/?p=12030","title":{"rendered":"Dealing With Unbelief"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a><em>Unbelief is believing the wrong thing!<\/em><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Jesus was approached by a man who had a son plagued by a demon.&nbsp; Matthew recorded the encounter in Matthew chapter 17:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">14 And when they had come to the multitude, a man came to Him, kneeling down to Him and saying,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">15 &#8220;Lord, have mercy on my son, for he is an epileptic and suffers severely; for he often falls into the fire and often into the water.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">16 So I brought him to Your disciples, but they could not cure him.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The disciples were intimidated by the demon\u2019s power over the son.&nbsp; They were not confident in their own power and authority to cast out the demon.&nbsp; Jesus was not pleased.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">17 Then Jesus answered and said, &#8220;<strong>O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you?<\/strong> How long shall I bear with you? Bring him here to Me.&#8221; 18 And <strong><u>Jesus rebuked the demon, and it came out of him; and the child was cured from that very hour<\/u><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">19 Then the disciples came to Jesus privately and said, &#8220;Why could we not cast it out?&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">20 So Jesus said to them, &#8220;<strong>Because of your unbelief<\/strong>; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, &#8216;Move from here to there,&#8217; and it will move; and <strong>nothing will be impossible for you<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">21 However, this kind does not go out except by prayer.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The disciples\u2019 understanding was distorted and corrupted (perverse) even though they observed Jesus healing the multitudes.&nbsp; Have we allowed our thinking to be corrupted by believing the wrong things?&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Everyone has a belief system.&nbsp; The problem is what they believe is wrong.&nbsp; They often believe their opinion to be fact and anyone who does not believe their opinion is wrong.&nbsp; Often, facts don\u2019t matter.&nbsp; Revelation from GOD doesn\u2019t matter either.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If we fully align our beliefs with The Word of GOD, then HE can flow through you and HIS power can be displayed.&nbsp; <em>We are meant to walk like Jesus in every area including nature, character, temperament, power, healing, miracles; until then, we are not where GOD wants us to be<\/em>.&nbsp; This is what it means to be a manifested son of GOD.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Word is our final authority. <em>Our experiences must be judged by Scripture not Scripture judged by experiences<\/em>. The Word of God is forever settled in Heaven, we must settle it on earth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It is written by The Holy Spirit in Psalm chapter 119:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">89 <strong>Forever, O LORD, Your Word is settled in Heaven<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">90 Your faithfulness endures to all generations; You established the earth, and it abides.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">91 They continue this day according to Your ordinances, For all are Your servants. 92 Unless Your law had been my delight, I would then have perished in my affliction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">93 <strong>I will never forget Your precepts, For by them You have given me Life<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">HIS Word will never change.&nbsp; In contrast, men\u2019s words are unreliable and subject to change without notice.&nbsp; HE created the universe, and we rely on the movement of the sun, moon, and stars every single day.&nbsp; Why do people overlook this reality and choose to deny the obvious?&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">How did Jesus deal with unbelief?&nbsp; He would give the people a sign by healing the lame, deaf, and blind.&nbsp; The people could no longer disregard the Truth.&nbsp; He forced the people to deal with the Truth of The Gospel.&nbsp; True signs cannot be denied.&nbsp; Jesus expects us to walk in the same manner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Jesus spoke in Mark chapter 16:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">15 And Jesus said to them, &#8220;Go into all the world and preach the Gospel to every creature.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">16 He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">17 And <strong><u>these signs will follow those who believe<\/u><\/strong>: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">18 they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We must not allow unbelief to hinder us as we fulfill the Great Commission.&nbsp; As we continue to immerse ourselves in Truth, unbelief will no longer be found among us.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Unbelief is believing the wrong thing!
