If the Fear of THE LORD is absent, people move toward lawlessness. When the Fear of THE LORD is present, righteousness prevails.
When people incorrectly believe that there are no consequences to sin, they move toward a lawless state due to their carnal orientation.
Wisdom speaks in Proverbs chapter 9:
10The starting point for acquiring wisdom
is to be consumed with awe as you worship Yahweh (fear of THE LORD).
To receive the revelation of the Holy One,
you must come to the One who has living-understanding.
11Wisdom will extend your life,
making every year more fruitful than the one before.
12So it is to your advantage to be wise.
But to ignore the counsel of wisdom
is to invite trouble into your life.
And in Proverbs chapter 14:
27To worship God in wonder and awe (fear of THE LORD)
opens a fountain of life within you,
empowering you to escape death’s domain.
It is written by The Holy Spirit in Acts chapter 9:
31After this, the church all over Judea, Galilee, and Samaria experienced a season of peace. The congregations grew larger and larger, with the believers being empowered and encouraged by the Holy Spirit. They worshiped God in wonder and awe, and walked in the fear of the Lord.
The “Called Out Ones” understood the fear of THE LORD and thus their numbers increased.
What would reinstate the fear of THE LORD in churches today? It would require a demonstration of power and authority from Above. This is what we should expect when we mature as Sons and Daughters.
Consider Peter. He had denied Christ three times and then had to be restored by Jesus Himself. In this very same chapter of Acts 9:
32 As Peter was ministering from place to place, he visited God’s devoted ones in the village of Lydda. 33He met a man there named Aeneas who had been paralyzed and bedridden for eight years. 34Peter said to him, “Aeneas, Jesus the Anointed One instantly and Divinely heals you. Now, get up and make your bed.”
35All at once he stood to his feet. And when all the people of Lydda and Sharon saw him, they became believers in the Lord.
The power and authority demonstrated by Peter brought forth more believers into the Kingdom!
Peter then Raises the Dead:
36 Now, there was a follower of Jesus who lived in Joppa. Her Aramaic name, Tabitha, means “gazelle.” She lived her life doing kind things for others and serving the poor. 37But then she became very ill and died. After the disciples prepared her body for burial, they laid her in an upstairs room.
38When the believers heard that Peter was nearby in Lydda, they sent two men with an urgent message for him to come without delay. 39 So Peter went with them back to Joppa, and upon arriving they led him to the upper room.
There were many widows standing next to Peter, weeping. One after another showed him the tunics and other garments that Tabitha had made to bless others.
40 Peter made them all leave the room. Then he knelt down and prayed. Turning to the dead body, he said, “Tabitha, rise up!”
At once she opened her eyes, and seeing Peter, she sat up. 41He took her by the hand and helped her to her feet. Then he called for the believers and all the widows to come and see that she was alive!
42The news spread all over the city of Joppa, and many believed in the Lord. 43Peter remained in Joppa for several more days as a guest at the house of Simon the tanner.
Once again, Peter displayed the power and authority appropriated to him as a believer, then was accessed and utilized to raise Tabitha from the dead. He commanded her back to life just as Jesus did multiple times. The result… many believed in THE LORD! This is what we are meant to do as well. When we walk in the same anointing and do similar, mighty miracles in Jesus’ Name, the fear of THE LORD will return to the church and many believers will be added to The Kingdom.
