Inactivity means ineffectiveness. Sow reluctantly and you will reap little. Sow generously and you will reap a great harvest. These are Spiritual Truths.
There are times were you are to do nothing but wait on THE LORD. This is not inactivity per se because waiting IS an activity when led by THE SPIRIT.
The Beloved Disciple recorded the Words of Jesus in John chapter 16:
12 “There is so much more I would like to say to you, but it’s more than you can grasp at this moment. 13 But when the Truth-giving Spirit comes, He will unveil the reality of every Truth within you. He won’t speak on His own, but only what He hears from the Father, and He will reveal prophetically to you what is to come. 14 He will glorify Me on the earth, for He will receive from me what is mine and reveal it to you. 15 Everything that belongs to the Father belongs to Me—that’s why I say that the Divine Encourager will receive what is Mine and reveal it to you.”
Believers get focused on end-time prophecies and time cycles as though they will be able to analyze and determine certain future events. If you really want to know how the future will affect you, listen to The Holy Spirit and pray in Tongues in an unceasing manner. Jesus made it quite clear that The Holy Spirit will reveal to us what is to come. This is the absolute Truth from Our Heavenly Father! Why waste time, energy, and money on buying the latest DVD’s etc. when FATHER made it clear that only HE knows when certain events will occur.
We are to be Truth seekers rather than fact seekers. Facts are obtained by observation and can be manipulated to provide a slanted view. Absolute Truth cannot be manipulated by man… period!
Jesus states in John chapter 8:
31 Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My Word, you are My disciples indeed. 32 And you shall know the Truth, and the Truth shall make you free.”
We must embrace The Word in all areas so that we will be operational in all areas. When we are led by The Holy Spirit in all areas, we are totally pleasing to FATHER and HE can trust us in a much greater way and in more areas. This is how HIS Kingdom will expand on earth. HE gave us dominion and we are to speak faith-filled Words as The Holy Spirit guides us into all Truth.
Since The Holy Spirit came at Pentecost, we know Jesus made it to The Throne. The Holy Spirit was the primary One sent to us for our benefit so why wouldn’t we place our complete Trust IN HIM? The adversary does not want us to walk in the power and authority given to us and directed by The Holy Spirit. This is why there is such focus on keeping The Holy Spirit out of the church.
Men are trusting in religious doctrines and customs rather than walking in the directives of The Holy Spirit. Only the remnant has fully embraced this walk and is known as the five wise virgins who have plenty of oil. Some who once walked according to The Holy Spirit have allowed themselves to become lukewarm and have used up their oil. They will find themselves knocking on a door which will be tightly shut.
Jesus specifically tells us in Matthew chapter 25:
1 “When my coming draws near, heaven’s kingdom realm can be compared to ten maidens who took their oil lamps and went outside to meet the bridegroom and his bride. 2–4 Five of them were foolish and ill-prepared, for they took no extra oil for their lamps. Five of them were wise, for they took flasks of olive oil with their lamps. 5 When the bridegroom didn’t come when they expected, they all grew drowsy and fell asleep. 6 Then suddenly, in the middle of the night, they were awakened by the shout ‘Get up! The Bridegroom is here! Come out and have an encounter with Him!’ 7 So all the girls got up and trimmed their lamps. 8 But the foolish ones were running out of oil, so they said to the five wise ones, ‘Share your oil with us, because our lamps are going out!’
9 “ ‘We can’t,’ they replied. ‘We don’t have enough for all of us. You’ll have to go and buy some for yourselves!’
10 “While the five girls were out buying oil, the Bridegroom appeared. Those who were ready and waiting were escorted inside with Him and the wedding party to enjoy the feast. And then the door was locked. 11 Later, the five foolish girls came running up to the door and pleaded, ‘Lord, Lord, let us come in!’
12 “But He called back, ‘Go away! Do I know you? I can assure you, I don’t even know you!’
13 “That is the reason you should always stay awake and be alert, because you don’t know the day or the hour when the Bridegroom will appear.”1
Don’t be foolish!
