FEAR OF THE LORD- Critical!

Isaiah wrote by THE SPIRIT in chapter 11:

1 And there shall come forth a Shoot out of the stock of Jesse [David’s father], and a Branch out of his roots shall grow and bear fruit.

2 And the Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon Him—the Spirit of Wisdom and Understanding, the Spirit of Counsel and Might, the Spirit of Knowledge and of the reverential and obedient FEAR OF THE LORD—

3 And shall make Him of quick understanding, and His delight shall be in the reverential and obedient FEAR OF THE LORD. And He shall not judge by the sight of His eyes, neither decide by the hearing of His ears;

4 But with righteousness and justice shall He judge the poor and decide with fairness for the meek, the poor, and the downtrodden of the earth; and He shall smite the earth and the oppressor with the rod of His mouth, and with the breath of His lips He shall slay the wicked.

5 And righteousness shall be the girdle of His waist and faithfulness the girdle of His loins.

When we are walking as mature Sons and Daughters, fully led by THE HOLY SPIRIT, we will not only acknowledge but walk in the seven Spirits as Jesus did.  They are:

The Spirit of the LORD

The Spirit of Wisdom

The Spirit of understanding

The Spirit of counsel

The Spirit of strength (might; miracles)

The Spirit of knowledge (revelation)

The Spirit of the FEAR OF THE LORD

Many believers fail to honor the seventh Spirit listed- The FEAR OF THE LORD.  Rather than presenting their best, they have made their relationship with FATHER casual and commonplace.  Yes, HE is Love but HE is also the Judge of the universe and we are to honor HIM as we seek to approach HIS Throne.   Would you go before a judge in shorts and tennis shoes?  Would you address the president of the U.S. with casual clothes on?  Doesn’t FATHER deserve greater respect and admiration than any of HIS created beings?

It is written by The Holy Spirit in Psalm 111:

10 Where can Wisdom be found? It is born in THE FEAR OF GOD.

Everyone who follows his ways

will never lack his living-understanding.

And the adoration of God will abide throughout eternity!

Proverbs  chapter 1:

7 The FEAR OF THE LORD is the beginning of knowledge;

Chapter 10:

27 The FEAR OF THE LORD prolongs life,

Chapter 14:

27 The FEAR OF THE LORD is a fountain of life,

That one may avoid the snares of death.

Chapter 19:

23 The FEAR OF THE LORD leads to life,

So that one may sleep satisfied, untouched by evil.

Chapter 15:

16 Better is a little with the FEAR OF THE LORD

Than great treasure and turmoil with it.

Isaiah also wrote in chapter 33:

5 The LORD is exalted, for HE dwells on high;

HE has filled Zion with justice and righteousness.

6 And HE will be the stability of your times,

A wealth of salvation, wisdom and knowledge;

The FEAR OF THE LORD is HIS treasure.

Without the FEAR OF GOD, can true Wisdom or knowledge be found?  As we are told in Psalm 111, it is born in the FEAR OF THE LORD.  Who else can bring forth healing in our lives?  Who else can dispatch angels for our protection?  Who else can provide us power and authority over the adversary and his demons?  Who else deserves the highest respect and reverence?  The seventh SPIRIT completes the other six.  Without THE FEAR OF THE LORD operating in our lives, we will not walk in the fullness of our destiny.  All seven were upon/in Jesus and we need all seven as well.

Jesus did and said nothing on His own.  He spoke in John chapter 17:

1 This is what Jesus prayed as He looked up into Heaven,

    “Father, the time has come.

    Unveil the glorious splendor of Your Son

    so that I will magnify YOUR glory!

2 YOU have already given me authority

    over all people so that I may give

    the gift of eternal life to all those that YOU have given to Me.

3 Eternal life means to know and experience YOU

    as the only true God,

    and to know and experience Jesus Christ,

    as the Son whom YOU have sent.

4 I have glorified YOU on the earth

    by faithfully doing everything YOU’VE told Me to do.

5 So My Father, restore Me back to the glory

    that we shared together when we were face-to-face

    before the universe was created.”

Jesus fully honored and glorified Our Heavenly Father in every aspect of His ministry on earth.  Should we have the same mindset?  THE FEAR OF THE LORD holds together the other Six Spirits.  Without IT, only The Spirit of THE LORD is in operation and this is generally what we see among believers today.

The adversary knows the power of THE FEAR OF THE LORD thus he wants us to disregard such an important and critical Truth.  In many congregations, people bring in drinks and popcorn into their sanctuaries as though they are planning to be entertained.  They can receive earplugs for the extremely loud music coming from the “stage”.  Where is the honor of THE FEAR OF THE LORD in all this?

FATHER could wipe out you and me in a nanosecond by HIS Power yet we have approached HIM as though HE was our “buddy”.  Let us repent of our past failures to fully honor HIM with the fear and reverence HE deserves.

When I was in the ten year span of praying before work in the mornings (1990-2000), FATHER once told me, “I AM the only ONE WHO is to be described as awesome so don’t use that word in any other manner.”  After that, every time I heard someone use that word to describe anything else, I cringed.  I would encourage you to make restricted use of that word as well!

When THE FEAR OF THE LORD is at the forefront of our consciousness, the other of the Seven Spirits will begin to operate in our lives.  We need to be “baptized” in THE FEAR OF THE LORD as we were with The Holy Spirit.

Isaiah experienced THE FEAR OF THE LORD in chapter 6 as he wrote by THE SPIRIT:

1 In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord sitting on a throne, high and lifted up, and the train of His robe filled the temple. 2 Above it stood seraphim; each one had six wings: with two he covered his face, with two he covered his feet, and with two he flew. 3 And one cried to another and said:

“Holy, Holy, Holy is the LORD of hosts;

The whole earth is full of His glory!”

4 And the posts of the door were shaken by the voice of him who cried out, and the house was filled with smoke.

5 So I said:

“Woe is me, for I am undone!

Because I am a man of unclean lips,

And I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips;

For my eyes have seen the King,

The LORD of hosts.”

6 Then one of the seraphim flew to me, having in his hand a live coal which he had taken with the tongs from the altar. 7 And he touched my mouth with it, and said:

“Behold, this has touched your lips;

Your iniquity is taken away,

And your sin purged.”

THE FEAR OF THE LORD came upon Isaiah when he encountered the awesomeness of FATHER in the Throne Room.  Isaiah went from being comfortable in his calling as a major prophet to being totally unclean.  What would your response be when placed in the same situation?  Isaiah immediately repented as his uncleanness was revealed.

When the angel appeared behind me in Little Jack’s restaurant in Minneapolis, I could not move any part of my body.  I was as a dead man (Rev. 1:17).  I was in a Holy, reverential, awe of the Presence of THE LORD expressed by this angel. It is written in Psalm 34:

7 The angel of the LORD encamps around those who FEAR HIM,

And rescues them.

Can I casually approach the Throne?  Absolutely not!  Yes, FATHER is full of grace and Love but HE is also to be honored in HIS other expressions, most of all we should treat HIM with absolute respect and reverence as THE ALMIGHTY.  Without this revelation of THE FEAR OF THE LORD, we are actually displaying unbelief.  Think about it.

In Acts chapter 5, it is recorded by THE SPIRIT:

5 The moment Ananias heard those words, he fell over dead. Everyone was terrified when they heard what had happened. 6 Some young men came in and removed the body and buried him.

7 Three hours later, his wife came into the room, with no clue what had happened to her husband.

8 Peter said to her, “Tell me, were the two of you paid this amount for the sale of your land?”

Sapphira said, “Yes, that’s how much it was.”

9 Peter told her, “Why have you agreed together to test the Spirit of the Lord? I hear the footsteps of those who buried your husband at the door—they’re coming here to bury you too!”

10 At that moment she dropped dead at Peter’s feet.

When the young men came in, she was already dead, so they carried her out and buried her next to her husband. 11 The entire church was seized with a powerful sense of the FEAR OF GOD, which came over all who heard what had happened.

12 The apostles performed many signs, wonders, and miracles among the people. 13 And the believers were wonderfully united as they met regularly in the temple courts in the area known as Solomon’s Porch. No one dared harm them, for everyone held them in high regard.

Today, is there any “fear” of believers by those in positions of authority?  No, they are dictating to believers to wear masks and stay separated.  It is clear that we need the FEAR OF THE LORD to be restored and operational in the lives in us as believers.  When that happens, we will be held in high regard and no one will dictate our movements.  No one will lie to us without ramification.

Wisdom wrote in Proverbs chapter 2:

1 My son, if you will receive My Words

And treasure My commandments within you,

2 Make your ear attentive to Wisdom,

Incline your heart to understanding;

3 For if you cry for discernment,

Lift your voice for understanding;

4 If you seek her as silver

And search for her as for hidden treasures;

5 Then you will discern the FEAR OF THE LORD

And discover the knowledge of God.

Chapter 8:

13 “The FEAR OF THE LORD is to hate evil;

Pride and arrogance and the evil way

And the perverted mouth, I hate.”

When the believers become united and FEAR THE LORD again, the world will fear the believers and things will change for the better.  Evil will no longer prevail or be tolerated.
