Dedicate your mind to Christ every morning when you get up. Don’t allow yourself to be preoccupied with the demands of the day. Quiet the mind so that it can hear what THE SPIRIT is saying. Soon, the mind will be properly conditioned to hear with a much greater clarity and your fruitfulness will increase.
To be conformed means to take on the same pattern or likeness of someone or something else. Paul wrote by The Holy Spirit in Romans chapter 12:
1 Beloved friends, what should be our proper response to God’s marvelous mercies? I encourage you to surrender yourselves to God to be His Sacred, living sacrifices. And live in Holiness, experiencing all that delights His heart. For this becomes your genuine expression of worship.
2 Stop imitating the ideals and opinions of the culture around you, but be inwardly transformed by the Holy Spirit through a total reformation of how you think. This will empower you to discern God’s will as you live a beautiful life, satisfying and perfect in His eyes.
What would the adversary want you to do instead? The opposite… imitate the ideals and opinions of the culture around us and accept those opinions as “truth”. The result is an unsatisfying life with imperfections everywhere you look. Your perspective grows darkened and you are unable to discern Spiritual Truths when you hear them. The subtlety of blindness grows until you wonder why you spend time with spiritual matters when you could be entertained by what the world offers. That condition is where the adversary wants to keep you.
Paul wrote by The Holy Spirit in 1 Thessalonians chapter 5:
16 Always be joyful. 17 Never stop praying. 18 Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.
19 Never restrain or put out the fire of the Holy Spirit. 20 Do not scoff at prophecies, 21 but test everything that is said. Hold on to what is good. 22 Stay away from every kind of evil.
I take the opportunity to pray in Tongues throughout the day for we are to “never stop praying” and we must not restrain The Holy Spirit in our daily walk. We can talk with FATHER as we walk or drive. It is no different than having someone else physically with us as we conduct the day’s business. After awhile, it will become “first-nature” with you and you will find yourself praying at every opportunity.
The demons will no longer challenge those who walk in such a close relationship with FATHER. They will go look for a weaker vessel to harass.
In Jude, it is written by The Holy Spirit:
20 But you, my delightfully loved friends, constantly and progressively build yourselves up on the foundation of your most holy faith by praying every moment in the Spirit.
Spiritual warriors must be strong and prepared for any circumstance that arises. What is the point of focusing on the armor of GOD if you never plan to use it? Do you think the devil or his demons are going to leave you alone as you pursue a full, mature relationship with FATHER without challenging you?
How can we be in unity if some of us are unprepared or ill-equipped to go into battle with Our Lord Jesus Christ? Our inner man must be built up and willing to confront these spiritual powers of darkness who want to steal, kill, and destroy us.
We need to speak life into our individual situations and quit agreeing with the devil who has the ability to promote adverse circumstances in our life. He only has authority if we give it to him. We must watch our words in every situation we encounter. The most dangerous dis-ease in the world is fear and when we agree with the fear set before us, we in effect accept the disease into our body. If we accept adverse circumstances, we have come into agreement with the adversary and effectively create a “contract”. Fear will stop you from your purpose and destiny!
Jesus spoke in Matthew chapter 10:
26 “Don’t be afraid or intimidated by others, for God will bring everything out into the open and every secret will be told. 27 What I say to you in the dark, repeat in broad daylight, and what you hear in a whisper, announce it publicly. 28 Don’t be in fear of those who can kill only the body but not your soul. Fear only God, who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.”
The adversary will use vessels of dishonor to intimidate you if possible. They will look for any sign of weakness and exploit it. We are to be full of courage and not allow ourselves to be dis-couraged. We must remove the “dis-“ from our vocabulary. As a man thinks, so is he. Fear not!
