Accessing Our Deposits

Peter wrote by The Holy Spirit in his 2nd Epistle in chapter 1:

3 Everything we could ever need for life and complete devotion to GOD has already been deposited in us by HIS Divine power. For all this was lavished upon us through the rich experience of knowing HIM WHO has called us by name and invited us to come to HIM through a glorious manifestation of HIS goodness.

The word lavished means: expended, bestowed, or occurring in profusion (in abundance).  FATHER is holding nothing back from HIS Sons and Daughters.  In fact, we have an abundance of HIS virtues within us awaiting our realization of this reality.  The supernatural is within us if we would only realize such power awaits our use and operation.  Do you think The Holy Spirit simply wants to stay dormant in you throughout your life?

4 As a result of this, HE has given you magnificent promises that are beyond all price, so that through the power of these tremendous promises you can experience partnership with the Divine nature, by which you have escaped the corrupt desires that are of the world.

We have a choice to walk in some degree of darkness or we can embrace FATHER’S Word and HIS Holy Spirit enabling us to overcome the world and all its devices.  What’s it gonna be

During the 1970’s and 80’s, faith was the revelation being preached to us.  The “faith” teachers led us to believe if we operated in faith, we were somewhat complete.  None of us questioned the “superiority” of faith during that movement but it wasn’t producing an abundance of good fruit as promised.  How were we so blind!

Peter continued with the revelation given to him by Our Lord Jesus and The Holy Spirit:

5 So devote yourselves to lavishly supplementing your faith with goodness,

and to goodness add understanding,

6 and to understanding add the strength of self-control,

and to self-control add patient endurance,

and to patient endurance add Godliness,

7 and to Godliness add mercy toward your brothers and sisters,

and to mercy toward others add unending Love.

8 Since these virtues are already planted deep within, and you possess them in abundant supply, they will keep you from being inactive or fruitless in your pursuit of knowing Jesus Christ more intimately.

The Holy Spirit is revealing the Divine Mystery of Jesus Christ and His empowerment residing on the inside of us and we have an abundant supply His virtues awaiting our use and implementation.  Once we have this revelation, we have no excuse but to pursue their full expression in our lives.

9 But if anyone lacks these things, he is blind, constantly closing his eyes to the mysteries of our faith, and forgetting his innocence—for his past sins have been washed away.

We are blind if these virtues are not operating in our lives.  We don’t need to pray for an impartation of these virtues, we need to pray for the blindness to be removed so that we can walk according to what is already deposited within us.  Our flesh would prefer we remain blind to such a wonderful revelation of who we truly are in Christ.  We either believe this Word from The Holy Spirit or we choose to remain blind.

I have staked my life on FATHER and HIS Word so I fully embrace these Truths.  As our blindness is removed, we can truly see how we can walk fully led by The Holy Spirit in all areas of our life no matter what circumstances we face.  Focus on these virtues and expect them to begin producing fruit in your life.  The people around us need to eat of the virtuous fruit we are producing.
