What We Embrace

There is no true benefit for me to have an opinion and draw conclusions based on current world events.  Why?  Because the world continues to spread lies supporting their bias and agenda thus contradicting the Absolute Truth only found from the Throne Room of Heaven and conveyed to us by The Holy Spirit and The Word of GOD.

The adversary is using willing vessels to spread the seeds of death and destruction, some knowingly and some unknowingly.  Those succumbing to the adversary’s devices will suffer judgment and we must not allow ourselves to evoke judgment of any kind as FATHER will sufficiently deal with the “instruments” of the devil.

The world is using fear to control people who have no true revelation of faith in GOD.  No we are not to be reckless and defiant but we are to walk and be led by The Holy Spirit in all things.  He will give us a “check” or a warning of what path to refrain from in all situations.  Let us remind ourselves of this Truth as we read Psalms 91.  I do this each morning, not out of duty but out of desire to remain fully conscious of the promises contained in this Psalm for it describes FATHER’S Divine Intent of Love toward us who truly walk in Agape Love.  HE states in verses:

14 “Because he has set his Love upon ME, therefore I will deliver him;

I will set him on high, because he has known MY name.

15 He shall call upon ME, and I will answer him;

I will be with him in trouble;

I will deliver him and honor him.

16 With long life I will satisfy him,

And show him MY salvation.”

The Beloved Disciple wrote by The Holy Spirit in John chapter 1:

12 But those who embraced Him and took hold of His name (Jesus Christ)

were given authority to become the children of GOD!

To express the intent of what is being said, “Those who are putting faith into his name.” To “lay hold of His name” means to believe all that He represents and put into practice what He taught in the power of His Name.

Where should I place my daily focus in order to walk fully in the same power as Jesus walked?  Should I spend hours in front of the TV listening to what the world says about the latest “facts” of a pandemic?  Are those “facts” going to minister salvation or healing to anyone?  If I am to put faith in the Name of Jesus, I should be building my foundation of faith by studying, pondering, and reflecting on His Words and acts throughout the day.  Jesus tested the disciples in John chapter 6 when He was about to feed the five thousand:

4 Now the Passover, a feast of the Jews, was near. 5 Then Jesus lifted up His eyes, and seeing a great multitude coming toward Him, He said to Philip, “Where shall we buy bread, that these may eat?” 6 But this He said to test him, for He Himself knew what He would do.

7 Philip answered Him, “Two hundred denarii worth of bread is not sufficient for them, that every one of them may have a little.”

8 One of His disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother, said to Him, 9 “There is a lad here who has five barley loaves and two small fish, but what are they among so many?”

It is reasonable to conclude by this passage in John and Mark chapter 6 that the “treasury” Judas was carrying had two hundred denarii in it by what Philip said in response.  Andrew chimed in and commented that a young lad had the only food available.

Jesus knew what He was going to do for FATHER had already instructed Him of what to expect.  Neither disciple had a clue or expectation of a miracle to come forth even though they had already witnessed miracles by the hand of Jesus.

Afterward, Jesus instructed the disciples to take a boat trip where they were caught up in a storm.  Was Jesus surprised?  Not in the least.  However, they had not pondered the miracle they just experienced.

After Jesus walked on water and calmed the seas:

51 Then He went up into the boat to them, and the wind ceased. And they were greatly amazed in themselves beyond measure, and marveled. 52 For they had not understood about the loaves, because their heart was hardened.

They were insensitive to Jesus’ Words and results when He fed the five thousand.  When we don’t ponder the Words and acts of Jesus, we too become insensitive and no longer embrace Him and take hold of His Name where the power and authority is derived from.  We must not allow ourselves to embrace anything else contrary to The Word and The Holy Spirit.
