The Excellency

The recent postings concerning judgment upon nations will bring forth anxiety to those who are not grounded in their relationship with Our Heavenly Father.  Fear, uncertainty, and doubt will rise up in the soul if your trust in FATHER is not well established.  All of our emphasis has been to direct the reader to establish a mature relationship with Our Lord Jesus Christ, The Holy Spirit, and FATHER.  Many teachings focus on HIS acts but we are fully focused on HIS ways.

In order to come to a full understanding of HIS ways, we must embrace FATHER’S Divine Intent which precedes HIS actions.  The source of HIS Divine Intent is Agape Love, plain and simple.

FATHER spoke in Psalm 91:

14 “Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him;

I will set him on high, because he has known My name.

15 He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him;

I will be with him in trouble;

I will deliver him and honor him.

16 With long life I will satisfy him,

And show him My salvation.”

I strongly urge you to ponder the above passage.  Have you set your Love upon HIM?  This is critical to the ensuing promises expressed in this passage.  When we focus our Love on Our Heavenly Father, HE responds by delivering us from trouble.  We know HIS Name which describes HIS nature thus FATHER will set us on high.

When we call upon HIM in time of trouble, HE will answer us and provide the solution to our problem resulting in deliverance.  Because of our intimate relationship with Our Heavenly Father, HE will satisfy us with long life… What a blessing!

FATHER sent HIS Word to provide us with the perfect example of Spiritual maturity.  Why set our gaze on anyone less than Jesus Christ?  Why focus on other topics or pursuits when we have yet to walk according to Jesus’ example?

Paul wrote by THE SPIRIT in Philippians chapter 3:

8 Yet indeed I also count all things loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as rubbish, that I may gain Christ

9 and be found in Him, not having my own righteousness, which is from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith;

10 that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death

In the Amplified Version:

8 But more than that, I count everything as loss compared to the priceless privilege and supreme advantage of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord [and of growing more deeply and thoroughly acquainted with Him—a joy unequaled]. For His sake I have lost everything, and I consider it all garbage, so that I may gain Christ

Paul came to realize “the priceless privilege and supreme advantage” of knowing Jesus Christ.  He counted everything else as rubbish in comparison thus he clearly stated his priority in life.  Is this your priority?  I can now say unequivocally that it is mine.  It has not always been the case as I have considered the past teachings I received from teachers, pastors, etc.  They were more focused on receiving from THE LORD than being a blessing to mankind.  In looking back, there was a lot of underlying self interest being taught.  The focus was “what can I get” rather than focusing on others.

When people are put under pressure, their true character is revealed.  What will such pressure reveal about you and me?  Will we have the foundation of Agape Love when put to the test?  Will we walk as Jesus walked when the people come to us in need?  Now is the time to pursue the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus our Lord.  Get rid of the rubbish.
