The Word gives hope to believers and It sets expectations for the Sons and Daughters who have the revelation of fulfilling Sonship here on earth. Matthew wrote by THE SPIRIT in chapter 10:
1 Jesus summoned His twelve disciples and gave them authority and power over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal every kind of disease and every kind of sickness.
And in verse 8 Jesus spoke:
7 And as you go, preach, saying, ‘The kingdom of heaven is at hand.’
8 Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give.
And in Hebrews chapter 13, it is written by THE SPIRIT:
8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
Jesus is not reluctant to give us power and authority to heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons yet many of us have yet to fully embrace this power and authority. We must overcome whatever hinders us from fully accepting this mandate.
Most all of us have hope to receive from Our Heavenly Father, whether it be healing, hope, or provision, but we must not stop there. Agape Love goes on to the ministry of giving, healing cleansing, raising, and casting out demons. Our unbelief keeps us from this higher calling so we should focus on purging out this unbelief from our midst.
As my friend Alan wrote in his discussion of Asher:
Matthew 7:13 is referring to a ‘straight forward path’; a straight forward and unwavering course of action, or intent, or expression.
I write each day to promote an “unwavering course of action or intent”. It is my deepest desire for us to reach full maturity as Sons and Daughters so we may embrace the power and authority to minister life to those around us. Jesus was not reluctant to give the disciples this power and authority nor is He reluctant to empower us in the same manner.
“Freely you have received, freely give” is the clear indication that He is not waiting for us to rise up by our own works. Instead, He expects us to simply believe IN HIM and fully receive and accept all His Words, no matter what men have taught us in the past about our unworthiness causing us to set lower expectations.
Jesus further stated:
14 Whoever does not welcome you, nor listen to your message, as you leave that house or city, shake the dust [of it] off your feet [in contempt, breaking all ties]. AMPL
Those who did not accept their message would receive nothing. Men’s unbelief is the primary cause of lack of blessing in their life.
I intend to be unwavering in my commitment to full maturity as a Son. I trust that many who read these writings share the same level of commitment and FATHER will choose those of us who remain fully committed to HIS calling. Let the purging and sifting continue!
