Jesus spoke in Luke chapter 17:
26 And as it was in the days of Noah, so it will be also in the days of the Son of Man:
27 They ate, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all.
It is written by THE SPIRIT in Genesis chapter 6:
9 This is the genealogy of Noah. Noah was a just man, perfect in his generations. Noah walked with God.
10 And Noah begot three sons: Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
11 The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence. 12 So God looked upon the earth, and indeed it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted their way on the earth.
17 And behold, I Myself am bringing floodwaters on the earth, to destroy from under heaven all flesh in which is the breath of life; everything that is on the earth shall die.
18 But I will establish My covenant with you; and you shall go into the ark—you, your sons, your wife, and your sons’ wives with you.
22 Thus Noah did; according to all that God commanded him, so he did.
It is reckoned by Biblical chronology that Noah spent five years building the ark and preparing food to be taken aboard. He has been called the first “prepper”. Recently, I posted prophetic warnings about the economic chaos ahead. It is up to each of us to be led by THE SPIRIT in determining what preparation to make in regard to whatever chaos is unleashed.
This not a time to be afraid, rather it is simply a time to prepare. The five wise virgins were prepared for Our Lord’s coming though they did not know the day or hour He would arrive. None of us know the day or hour when calamity will arrive at our doorstep. It is better to prepare early than be a day late.
Some say we should have enough food for 4 to 8 weeks. We should also keep some cash on hand in case the banks close for an extended “holiday”. As I said, it is up to each of us to seek FATHER in this matter. Noah’s faith required action so if you think you can simply do nothing when warned, you may be disappointed.
Be strong and of good courage!
